Bambourgh Castle--March 15, 2003
This is the castle from the beach. One of the movie adaptations of MacBeth was filmed here. We didn't go in, as the best view was from the outside, and there wasn't enough cool things inside to warrant us going in. Pretty cool to look at, though.

We stopped and had lunch on the beach. It was really windy, but it was really refreshing--I think that the wind drove a lot of air into my lungs, rejuvenating me.

Not a single person in this photo is British or American. Spanish, Italian, Canadian, and Danish. We are all recently-declared Citizens of the World, however, so we're all from the same nation--Earth. It's a fun concept.
We later moved into the dune-grass to eat--it was less windy there, and the view was better. It was a good chance to just "get the cobwebs out" as our tour guide said.

The little thing on Farrah's head is a little wreath I braided out of dune-grass. Fun day.
