| Religion & Spirituality ~ Its an interesting thing religion is...it can fill one up with unbelieveable amounts of love, hope and faith...it can give one the strength to take one more baby step or the drive to carry on and it can bring people closer together then ever before yet it also has the ability to drive people apart, create hatred and anger and make people do the craziest things including murder....Even so though, I feel that for the most part being religious or spiritual is a good thing provided its not taken to the extreme. I also think that regardless of what personal spiritual road you may be on, learning about other paths is a positive thing...First off being educated in and on life is never bad IMO and secondly, maybe if more people took the time to learn about what their neighbour is about or their classmate/coworker/boss etc or their friend up the road and so on...we wouldn't have so many insane hate based negative things goin on in the world today....Hatred is a very powerful emotion and it comes from fear of the unknown whether you are talking about relgion, race, sexuality and so on...(in this section though its all about religion and spirituality)...Maybe if we all take the time to learn what various paths are about we'll have a better understanding and wont be so quick to judge. More than that though, we won't have that fear of the unknown anymore which in turn will (hopefully) end much of the hatred and hate fueled bullshit in society. Thats what this section of the site is for.. Please keep in mind I'm not an expert on religion by any means and would never claim to be....the information you find here on various paths will be as accurate as possible and of course MY personal path is just that MINE...you may agree with how I do things, you may not, either is fine really considering its MY personal path the only one who needs to "get it" is me ;-). |
