A little about you and your children: Well, my daughter Jessi is from a
previous relationship, her father and I have joint custody of
her, she visits him on weekends. She just turned 4 and
started school this year. Aiden is 10 months old, just
starting to walk. Rob, my fiance, is Aiden's father.
He's 26 and is a dj and works for a Calgary based computer
company. As for me, I'm 22 and a sahm for now, I'll be going back
to school next year. I play guitar and love to drum, like
reading and scrapbooking and spending time with the kids.
Story:
As far as stories go,
both my pregnancies went fairly well, but I was quite sick for
the first 4 or 5 months of each, otherwise went well. With
Jessi I was with an OB/GYN, was in labour for 21.5 hours and
ended up having an episiotamy. She was 7lbs 9.5 ozs and
21.5 inches long. They had to induce my labour with her as
well, I started alright by myself and then kind of stopped, and
the only drug I had with her was demerol. With Aiden, I dind't go
to an OB/GYN, I had a midwife instead and loved it, it was so
much better than a dr. Instead of waiting for an hour to
get in and spending 5 minutes in the office, you waited 5 minutes
to get in and were in there for an hour. I was in labour
with Aiden for 12 hours, started naturally, but they had to break
my water again. (same with Jessi) He was 8lbs, 11.5 ozs and
21 inches long, I had him naturally, no drugs, no episiotamy, it
was great. All 3 of my midwives were at the hospital with
me, since I went into labour at night and had him the next
morning, so they all came there. We're not having any more
kids, Rob's had a vasectomy, but if for some reason, it turns out
I get pregnant again (the dr's said after about 10 years, the
tubes could grow back) then I'll definitely go to the midwives
again, after going through it both ways, with a dr and with them,
hands down, they were better!
