MY HORSE QUEST
When I was five years old, I had my first pony ride and fell in love with horses fromt hat moment on and knew I wanted to have ne of my own one day.
Then when I was about 19, I saw this program on TV about this retired military couple that bought some land and started a horse haven for abused, neglected, unwanted horses. As I watched this program, I knew deep down this is what I was meant to do too. Ironically, I was at the start of what would become a wibderful and successful military career.
Then about 15 years into my military career, it came to an abrupt end when I contracted an eye disease and was retired. Because I could no longer drive, I thought I had to give up my horse dream. Then a few years back, about 2003, I realized I did not have to give up my dream after all. All I needed to do was find a place that was located close enough to a town that I could walk to for my groceries and church. I could always hire someone to transport the horses as needed and ahve hay and such delivered. THE DREAM WAS BACK ON!
The search was now on for both the land and breed of horse I wanted. After much researching and talking with horse people, I have narrowed my search to either the Spotted Saddle Horse or the Tennessee Walker. It may come down to a coin tosse or just get one of each.

I already came up with a name for my horse place, Triple R Ranch. The three R's stand for Rescue, Rehabilitation and Relocation (the only R word I could come up with for Adoption). UPDATE: The land has been bought! Five acres in New York located between the PA border and Buffalo. THE DREAM MARCHES ON!
