Common Upper Limb Injuries
ROTATOR CUFF MUSCLES INJURIES (RCI)

Four of the scapulohumeral muscles- supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis (These are what people referred as SITS muscles) are called "rotator cuff" muscles....around the (glenohumeral)shoulder joint.
Often times people gets injury or disease that may cause damage to the musculotendinous of the rotator cuff muscle group...

Cause?- The rotator cuff may be injured by one dramatic trauma, such as falling on an outstretched arm, or it may be injured by repetitive overhand activity. Either form of injury can lead to swelling of the rotator cuff tendon and its bursa known as impingement syndrome. Either injury may also result in a complete tearing of the rotator cuff tendon from the humerus bone, known as a rotator cuff tear.

Symptoms?- person who have tear of the rotator cuff may report a "sharp pain" in the anterosuperior part of the shoulder.

Treatment?- Chiropractic care often times provide good treatments and cares to RCI patients.  Doctor might first reduce the pain and inflammation of the shoulder joint with cold pack and ultrasound treatment.  Further, mobility of the shoulder will also be perform through doctor's adjustments and mobility treatment.  Last but not least, doctor will provide patient with a good active care by using a rehabitation plan to strengthing their injury shoulder.
