My name is Stacy Robinson. Although this is my first year teaching in Baltimore County, this is my 4th year teaching overall. I spent one year teaching 5th grade in Baltimore City Public Schools before moving to a private school, also in the city where I taught 1st grade for two years. My favorite part of teaching the younger students is seeing the progress they make between September and June. It is amazing! I also tutor several students during the school year.
I am originally from central New Jersey but after receiving my undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Towson University, I decided to stay in Maryland. After working in the field for a year, I decided that it was not how I wanted to continue my life and decided to pursue a career in teaching. I joined the Project Site Support - Urban Teacher Education program at UMBC and received my Masters Degree in Teaching in May of 2005.
When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my dog, Zoe. She is a 3 year old miniature dachshund. I adopted her from the MdSPCA in May of 2005. She has been a great addition to my life, constantly making me laugh and smile. She is my first dog ever and I love her! I also spend a lot of time with my boyfriend of over two years and my other friends. I like to hike, camp, scrapbook, play online and try all sorts of new things (nothing too scary... except outdoor rock climbing!) I recently started knitting and sewing too. My favorite TV shows include Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, King of Queens, American Idol, and the OC.
Here's a few pictures of Zoe :).
