DON'T YOU SCULLY ME! TV HITS MAGAZINE JANUARY 1998 Issue #113

Still walking around saying "As if!"? Well, friends, that's so "yester". As fans of the hot show Buffy the Vampire Slayer will tell you - there's a whole new lingo to get a hold of. Here's the lowdown.

Buffy Says:

Meaning:

Carbon-dated

To describe your parents or someone really old

Chatter in the caf

Time to get all the gossip

Elsewhere to be

Use this sarcastically when someone is boring you to tears – “Love to stay and chat, but elsewhere to be!”

Lose water

Totally freak out

Salt goodness

Babe alert… a treat for the eyes

Scully

Trying to clarify why weird stuff happens with a scientific explanation just like Dana Scully in The X-Files – “I can’t believe you are trying to Scully me!”

Keyser Sozed

Being tricked into believing a sinister plot just like in The Usual Suspects – “Does anyone else feel like they’ve been Keyser Sozed?”

ubersuck

That sucks big time… use when you’ve been grounded or got too much homework.

Vague that up

To quote Chandler Bing, “Could you be any more vague?”

The wacky

Doing loopy things and acting really weird – “Love makes you do the wacky”

yester

Not cool… that’s, like, so two minutes ago!
