Articles Sarah Reveals All Big Hit August 2002 Issue #41 The folks over at the E! channel in the US have certainly gone crazy for Sarah Michelle Gellar. Not only did they have a super-duper Scooby-Doo special, they also had an entire SMG special called Sarah Michelle Gellar Revealed that detailed almost everything from our Buffsters long career from her early commercials to playing Daphne in Scooby-Doo. SMG spoke candidly about her journey from child actor to soapie star to current status of international superstar. She commented about being a teen role model. "I don't believe as entertainers, it is our job to teach children their life lessons and their morals and their values," she said. "That's what parents and teachers are for. We're entertainers. The word means to perform, to entertain, to make you laugh." SMG also revealed that she's not eager to leave Buffy behind just yet ("We still have a story to tell. And as long as we have a story to tell, we're gonna tell it") and was happy to share personal stories about Freddie Prinze Jr. "This is someone that I love. This is someone that I enjoy talking about and I don't want to pretend like it's a secret and I don't want to pretend like it's something I want to hide. So, it's really hard to learn how to deal with that." |
