BUFFY LIGHTENS UP!
WORD AROUND Sunnydale is that the next - and apparently final - season of Buffy will lighten up a bit. "This season was a little dark even for me," says star Sarah Michelle Gellar. "I think we're going to go back to a much lighter Buffy. I'm hoping for the fun Buffy - I miss quippy Buffy!"
Although Sarah has one more season left on her contract, the Scooby-Doo star let it slip that the show could carry on without her. "I don't know if it would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because you kind of need Buffy for that. But there are a lot of characters that could easily go on, and I'd hope that they would."
