With David Duchovny's depature The X-Files, the series' writers have a real challenge ahead of them. How they make Mulder vanish into thin air? But that's not the only question that needs to be answered as all our fave shows wind down for the year. With pregnancies, contract negotiations and departing actors it seems scripwriters have a huge task ahead of them - writing these changes into the plot lines and making it all believeable. Here are some current dilemmas:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy may be dead, but Sarah Michelle Gellar is planning to stay on for another two seasons. What's all this about, then? We're not too sure! One thing's certain, though - Willow is definitely going to have to whip up some pretty strong spells to bring the Buffster back from the dead!
