Another huge thanks is going out to...COMET MOON! Yeah, been seeing his name a lot, huh? Well this guy has such good ideas and when he gives em to me, I usually use them. I think I have all but one time. So CM, thanks for the idea that is proudly put in this fic. Okay people, this is very important. Lately, I have seen a lot of people ripping off others fics. Just last weekend, I read one that took the plot line from *at least* three different stories that I have read. Even if our fanfiction is not being sold for money, it is still right protected. Meaning, that what we write is our own idea and can not be reproduced in any form. Not only is this illegal, it is just plain wrong. If you have ever done this, then know that we writers work long and hard to create these written works of art and having them stolen is the last thing we want or need. If you ever see someone copying another's work and know that they have, then tell the writer that the idea is being stolen from and have them judge for themselves. (IE: I read one where the person had taken the idea from chapters of a story that had been out for weeks and theirs was just up. That is a good way to tell.) Or tell the website master or mistress. And just so people know, if I find someone doing this to my works, it will not be pretty. Oh yes, almost forgot! Ti'ana-chan and I have posted (or will post soon) the first chapter of our co-written fic on her site. It may possibly be on Lady Spring's site later, but it is not going to be on ASMR for a while. If you would like to read it go here: http://come.to/Tiana Go now! Okay, now please enjoy the next chapter of "Truths." DISCLAIMER: Watashi nakare jika Bishoujo Senshi Seera Muun. Demo, watashi ketsubou sore. Iie. Watashi ketsubou Mamo-chan! (Translation: I do not own Pretty Girl Soldier Sailor Moon. But, I want it. No. I want Mamo-chan!) RATING: PG. I have a single swear word in here. *gasp* Quote of the Week: "There is a time for laughter, there is a time for tears. For each of us has happy days, and days when grief appears. But when we have our troubles, just as when we are glad and gay, we should always remember, that this too, will pass away." It's on a little plaque in my bathroom and I live by that saying. ___________Promises Fulfilled___________ Someone was calling him. Someone he knew, or should know. Her voice was so sweet to his ears, but at the same time the words she said were burning his ears with terror. "Please, the fights are so hard and lonely with out you! Please, help me!" the young girl pleaded. Darien looked at himself and saw that he was no longer wearing his customary boxers (AN: ^_~) but a black tuxedo and mask. "What do you want! Why must I help you?!" he yelled back. For a brief second, the girl turned and faced her sad blue eyes to Darien. "Please, I can't live with out you." The wind picked up, blowing her short sailor skirt in the wind. "I need you..." Darien awoke with a gasp and struggled to grasp the fragments of the dream only to have it slip through his fingers. Shaking his head, Darien smiled at the new day, and his date with Serena. 'Another day, another kiss to count,' he thought with a smile. *********************************************************************** She was tired. That was all she could say. The Cardian from the night before had been tough and ugly. Serena leaned back in her seat and sighed. Before, when both she and Darien knew about their identities, they would make sure to schedule dates later so that they could both catch up on their much needed Z's. "Serena?" Luna asked as she came running up to her young charge. Serena turned toward her cat and lifted an eyebrow in response. Luna approached her slowly. "What are you doing out of bed this early? That was a very late fight, I think you should go back to bed!" (AN: *checks Luna's forehead* Yes, she's running a fever.) Serena rubbed her eyes and looked at the cat in shock. "You just said I could sleep late! You okay?" Luna made a face and jumped into Serena's lap. "I'm fine, and you were also up till six in the morning!" Serena looked out to the horizon where she saw Darien making his way to her. Looking down at her guardian cat with a sad smile, Serena answered her. "He doesn't know now, Luna. It was different before. But I just can't leave him for another hour of sleep." Serena turned to Luna and smiled again. "Go home, Luna. You had less sleep than I did." Luna was about to protest, but noticed how close the young prince was and remembered the promise she had made to Serena only three months ago. She wouldn't follow them on their date. "Have a good time, Serena!" Luna called over her shoulder as she walked away. Serena smiled at her guardian and turned back to Darien who was fast approaching. "Serena!" he called out as he walked faster. Serena squealed in delight as Darien picked her up and spun her around in his embrace. "Darien!" she squealed loudly, causing her to catch the attention of many passerby's. "Put me down!" Darien grinned and did as told, setting her down gently on the ground. Serena scowled at him before smiling. Standing on her tiptoes, Serena brushed her lips against his earning a surprised grunt from Darien who immediately responded to her lips. By the time the two separated, they were earning wolf whistles and stares from the people nearby. Blushing slightly, Serena and Darien took each other's hands and walked away from the park. As soon as they were away from prying eyes and ears Darien grabbed Serena by the shoulders and kissed her again. Serena gave a small squeal before melting into her loves' embrace. *********************************************************************** It was dying. But it had been since it had arrived on earth and there was nothing they could do about it. "And you're sure the energy we're feeding it isn't helping?" Anne asked as she lay one of her hands on the trunk of the Doom Tree. She felt a tear come to her eye but furiously blinked it back. "There's nothing we can do?" Allen stopped playing his flute and looked at his love. "We've tried everything we could in the past and this planet is the last one with any type of life. Anne, one day at a time is all we can ask. I know you're weak, I am too, but we have to keep going on! We can't stop," he told her as he walked up to her and placed a hand on her cheek. Anne's hand met his and she smiled. *********************************************************************** Mina yawned as she sipped her drink, causing her to choke. From the seat beside her, Artemis started snickering. Regaining her composer, Mina glared at her guardian with evil eyes. "Come on, Artemis!" she wailed. "It wasn't that funny!" Artemis just continued to laugh and Mina huffed at him. "Lousy, no good, rotten son of a-" "Hello, Mina, isn't?" a masculine voice from behind the blond asked carefully. Mina turned in her seat and smiled. "Yes. And you are..." she trailed off and her eyes became as icy as the arctic wind. Lita and Amy had warned her about this guy. Allen Granger. Apparently obsessed with Serena and trying to break her and Darien apart. In the eyes of the Goddess of Love, this guy was toast. "Can I help you?" she asked frostily. Not noticing her biting tone, Allen sat in the chair across from her and smiled charmingly. "Yes, you can. Do you happen to know where your friend, Serena, is?" he questioned. Mina narrowed her eyes. "Listen, Allen. I don't know what it is you want with Serena, but stay away from her. She is in love with Darien and needs him, especially right now. If you continue to follow her and pursue her as you are, my friends and I will do what ever it takes to keep you away from her." Mina picked her drink up and took a sip of it. "Now, I'm trying to enjoy myself, please leave." Allen stood and walked over to Mina. Grabbing her wrist he pulled her closer to him. "You don't know who you're dealing with, little girl." And with that, he turned and left. Mina stood stock-still, staring at the space he had occupied. "This guy gives me the creeps, Artemis." Artemis hissed at Allen as he walked away. "I feel something about him, Mina. We really should keep him away from the Prince and Princess." Nodding, the Soldier of Love (AN: Aino Senshi!) could only agree. *********************************************************************** Serena sat dumbly through the meeting the Sailor Scouts had that night. It was late and she was tired. Darien had kept her busy all day, going to different places and such, that she hadn't had time to catch up on her sleep. Not that she terribly minded, but she did wish she had an extra hour or two of sleep. What really had gotten her was that she also had to call their date short because her communicator had beeped to tell her she was very late for the Scout meeting. Darien hadn't been happy, but Serena couldn't tell him. The young Princess's weary eyes gazed at her friends who were all discussing the latest attack by the two Aliens. She didn't know what they were talking about, and really didn't care. Something was terribly wrong. Raye's head suddenly snapped up and she turned to face the east. The others stopped talking and looked at their friend. "What is it, Raye?" Luna asked. Before Raye could say anything, Serena answered for her. "The enemy is attacking, Luna. It's not far. Let's go!" she exclaimed while standing. Raye looked at her friend in shock. 'How long has she been able to sense evil?' she pondered to herself. (AN: Are you pondering what I'm pondering?) With out a word, the Sailor Scouts held up their pens, and transformed. *********************************************************************** Allen and Anne watched the battle from a tall tree they sat in. Anne lay her head on Allen's shoulder in her exhaustion. "I wish Cardian Sol would hurry up!" she complained. "I need my energy." (AN: Sol = Sun. I learned that from Sailor Moon Universal by Jendra! Read that!) Allen kissed Anne's lips gently and smiled at her as the battle raged on. "Patience. She has to defeat the Sailor Scouts first, and then you can have your energy, Anne." Anne gazed out at the battle and narrowed her eyes at the Scouts. "Those little brats are going to pay for what they've done!" she declared. *********************************************************************** A bright and hot flash of light whizzed by Sailor Venus' head. She sucked in a breath of fear as she felt it come with in centimeters of hitting her. Panting, she turned back to the Cardian. This one was particularly...interesting. It was bright yellow with hints of orange in it's mane. Every attack seemed to just go through it because it seemed to be just made of light. It attacked by shooting yellow-orange fire from its' mouth. Something Sailor Venus did not want to know what it felt like. "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" The yellow orange light crashed into the other yellow orange light that had been heading for Sailor Mars. "Thanks, Venus!" Mars managed to call out before using her own attack. "MARS FIRE BIRD STRIKE!" The attack did nothing as it hit Sol. Mars swore viciously under her breath, causing Sailor Moon and Jupiter to exchange glances. Sailor Moon stepped forward and aimed her Tiara carefully, knowing that it wasn't weak enough to destroy with her scepter quite yet. "MOON TIARA MAGIC!" The spinning discus flew towards the Cardian and slammed into it full force, and then flew out the back of it doing absolutely no damage. The Tiara boomeranged back to her and Sailor Moon caught it expertly. "Okay, that wasn't so good," she muttered. *********************************************************************** Darien rubbed his temples as he looked up from the book he was reading. "God, why does my head hurt so much?" he asked himself. A sudden rush of fear and adrenaline slammed into his system and Darien gasped. With a scream, Darien fell to the ground in convolutions of pain. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" he demanded. A flash of light encompassed the room and Darien felt himself slipping in to unconsciousness. *********************************************************************** After watching for a while, Anne floated down to where the battle was and yawned. "I think it's time to give this battle push in our direction!" holding her hand out in front of her, palm up, and gave an evil chuckle as she aimed at Sailor Moon's back carefully. "SAILOR MOON!" Mars yelled as she started to run to her Princess. There was no time to power up and she knew that there was no time for her to make it to her Princess in time to save her. "LOOK OUT!" "Sailor Moon!" Venus yelled as she prepared her attack. "NO!" Jupiter and Mercury screamed. Sailor Moon turned around and her eyes went wide at what she saw. 'Oh, god. I'm going to diei'mgoingtodiei'mgoingtodiei-' Out of nowhere, a streak of red hit the pink haired alien in the hand and she cried out in pain. "WHO THREW THAT?!" she demanded. Looking down, all present were rewarded with seeing something they wouldn't have expected. "A red rose?" Sailor Moon whispered. Her head snapped up as she heard an all too familiar voice saying all too familiar things. "How dare you try to hurt people who fight for love! And to try and hurt Sailor Moon, you are true monsters." A dark figure loomed up above in the treetops with an air of mystery around him. The Sailor Scouts sucked in their breaths. "It can't be," Mercury whispered as she turned her attention up to the sky. Mars' eyes were wide. "I think it is. Damn him. He's late," she said with a smile. The figure jumped down from his perch and landed in front of Sailor Moon, spreading his cape to protect her. Tuxedo Mask made another rose appear in his hand as he glared at the people who would even dare think about harming his love. "Tuxedo Mask?" Sailor Moon whispered as she walked up behind him. Allen joined Anne on the ground and crossed his arms. "And who are you? I thought Sailor Moon was the last of the soldiers," he stated while sizing the man up. 'Roses? Now I've seen everything.' Tuxedo Mask twirled the steel-tipped weapon in his hands and aimed it for the heart of Allen. "My name does not concern you," he hissed. "What does is whether or not you will surrender." Allen laughed at the capped man and wiped an invisible tear from his eye. "Oh yeah, that's a good one, Cape Boy!" Allen muttered sarcastically. "Cardian Sol! Destroy all of them!" Anne commanded as she stuck her nose up into the air. "Show no mercy," she said with a laugh as she disappeared. Allen turned to where his partner used to be and let out an exasperated sigh. "Anne, wait up!" he called as he too, disappeared. Sol turned to face the Sailor Scouts again and narrowed its' eyes. With an inhuman screech, it lunged at Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. The latter's eyes opened wide and he dove for Sailor Moon. "Look out!" The young lovers hit the ground with such force that Mars could have sworn she felt the earth trembling. 'Wait! The ground *is* shaking!' Mars realized as she cast another glance at the Cardian. Its' arms were now on the ground, almost in it, and a strange orange glow was surrounding it. 'What the heck?' The Cardian smiled evilly as it spread its energy through the ground. With out warning, several beams of light shot out of the ground and solidified as they wrapped themselves around the Sailor Scouts lithe forms. "NO!" Sailor Moon yelled as she ran to her friends. "Hold on!" Tuxedo Mask wasn't far behind her as she ran to the others. Sporting his trademark rose, he ran as fast as he could and threw it at the tentacle binding Sailor Mercury. The rose stuck into the appendage with ease and Tuxedo Mask smiled. Not knowing exactly what he was doing, he did the same to the other three that held the girls. Kneeling down and closing his eyes, Tuxedo Mask *willed* his power, his planet, to aide his friends. A deep blue surrounded the area as the man concentrated. Sailor Moon stood and watched as Tuxedo Mask, for once, did something besides throw roses. After a few moments of sitting there, a brilliant flash of light surrounded the area. Within seconds, Cardian Sol, was gone. *********************************************************************** Allen punched a wall as he felt the demise of the latest Cardian. Anne watched him from her place on the couch with a little pillow in her lap. Allen sat down next to her and sighed. "I don't get it! How can they be this strong, Anne?" Anne didn't answer and let him keep rambling. "They've destroyed one Cardian after another and there is nothing we've been able to do! Nothing!" As Allen continued, Anne looked to the door that led to the room with the Doom Tree in it. Her thoughts soon drifted to that of their problem with the tree. 'I don't know what's wrong with you. We're feeding you enough. You should be fine.' Turning back to Allen, Anne watched as he gave up his on his speech and went to go to bed. Standing, Anne decided she should do the same. 'Those rotten brats will get what's coming to them soon enough. Their luck can't last forever,' she smirked. *********************************************************************** The Sailor Scouts stood on one side with Tuxedo Mask standing opposite of them. The girls could only stare in awe at him after what he had just done. They knew he had that kind of power, he had told them a while back. But seeing it was completely different. Like watching the battle and participating in it. There was a huge difference. Neither party said anything for a few moments, but it was Sailor Moon who finally couldn't take it any longer. Breaking into a full-fledged run, Sailor Moon barreled into him. Tuxedo Mask was more than willing to comply to the hug and held her as tightly as he could. The four Sailor Scouts smiled at each other and gave a nod. Turning they walked away from the couple and willingly gave them privacy. "I thought he wasn't going to awaken?" Venus whispered to herself. Looking over her shoulder, she could see the two in deep conversation and felt it. Something was wrong, but right at the same time. Jupiter smiled at her friends. Even though there hadn't been much of a change in Serena yet, Lita could still tell that her friend missed him. *********************************************************************** Sailor Moon buried herself in Tuxedo Mask's warm embrace and felt hot tears sting her eyes as she rubbed her face into his shirt. "Darien... Mother said, that you-you weren't going to awaken and that I-we would have to fight with out you." Tuxedo Mask wrapped his arms tighter around her and began to whisper comforting words. After a few moments, he pulled back and looked into her eyes. "Serena, this isn't what it seems," he whispered to her while gently pushing away some stray bangs from her face. "Wha-what do you mean? You're here, you remember, what is wrong?" she asked with worry in her eyes. "I don't even know how to explain this," he told her with a hushed tone. "I know what will happen, but, God Serena, I'm sorry." Darien didn't meet her gaze as he remembered. He remember how, when they had first started dating, she had told him everything that she felt about fighting. She hated it, plain and simple, but that wasn't where it stopped. She had tried to explain how she felt to the other girls, but they didn't understand. As a result, she had kept all of her feelings about fighting inside until he came along. But now, she had no one to talk to again even if it did seem he was back. Serena pulled back and gazed past the white domino mask her love held so proudly on his face. Reaching up, Sailor Moon pulled of the mask and gazed into his eyes while letting her gloved hand rest on his cheek. Tuxedo Mask turned his head and kissed her hand softly. The two stayed like that for several minutes before Darien spoke again. "Serena, do you remember what I told you about? Before I knew I was Tuxedo Mask and would just transform when you were in danger and then I would become normal again and not remember?" "Yes. Why-oh," she whispered when she understood. Tears began to form in her eyes as Tuxedo Mask held her tighter. "Why?" Tuxedo Mask buried his face in her hair and stroked her back gently. "I don't know, Serena. I really don't." Was this some twisted game that Fate seemed to like to play on them? Darien could remember how Serena was so open to him about saying the girls didn't understand how important her duty was and they also didn't feel the pain she did about the Moon Kingdom, because they didn't even remember it. Thus she couldn't really talk to them about it. But it had been so easy when she talked to him and now... Tuxedo Mask pulled away and held Serena by the shoulders. "Serena, listen to me. I know the girls don't understand everything about you being the Princess and your pain from the Moon Kingdom, but, for now, you'll have to rely on them. I'm sorry I can't be here for you all the time, but let them hear you and they will try to understand." Sailor Moon nodded sadly. "And don't forget, that I will always, always love you. With or with out my memories of the Moon Kingdom, you will forever be my one true love." With what he had said out, Tuxedo Mask quickly leaned down and kissed Sailor Moon with as much love, passion, hope and desire he felt in his body. Sailor Moon's arms snaked around his neck and she kissed him harder and more desperately. After several minute of kissing (AN: Or as we call it 'Tonsil hockey!' *giggles* Lol!) they pulled away from each other. A tingling sensation in the back of Darien's head brought him to reality. "I need to go, Serena. You're no longer in danger and Tuxedo Mask is no longer needed. I'll see you tomorrow," he whispered to her. Tracing her lips as they still tingled from the fiery kisses they had just shared, Sailor Moon nodded. "I need you," she whispered. Brushing his lips against hers once more Tuxedo Mask smiled. "I love you." Sailor Moon looked up and smiled at him again. "I know." Sailor Moon detransformed into Serena and watched as the capped man bounded off in the direction of his apartment. Serena heard a rustling in the bushes behind her and didn't even need to turn around to know that it was her friends. Sensing something was wrong, the four of them walked to their Princess and listened to her as she cried out her story. *********************************************************************** Queen Serenity sighed in relief and also despair. She knew that the presence of Tuxedo Mask, even if only for a little while, would help her daughter. It would hurt too, yes, but the old Queen could see more good in it than evil. She smiled slightly at her daughter as the Guardians took her home and put her to bed. A flash of light from behind Serenity alerted her to another, familiar, presence. "Don't even start in on me, Sailor Pluto," the Queen said icily. "I have good reasons for what I did and I do not regret it." Sailor Pluto's expression remained unchanged as her Queen turned to face her. "You very well could have changed the future, My Queen. You disturbed the time line," she spoke slowly and calmly. Amusement was in Serenity's eyes as she responded. "And you are telling me that the entire future changed so drastically that Crystal Tokyo will no longer be there?" Pluto smiled and shook her head. "You know full well what I mean Serenity and I thank you for doing what you did, and saving me the trouble." "Doesn't that go against the Law of Chronos?" Serenity asked. Sailor Pluto gazed at the small viewing globe the Queen had. "When my Princess and friend is involved, there are no laws." Queen Serenity could only smile. *********************************************************************** The bright sunlight streamed through the windows of Darien's apartment. Squinting his eyes, Darien saw that he was asleep at his couch with a book lying on his chest. Rubbing his eyes, Darien yawned and sat up, stretching his, surprisingly sore, muscles. "What a strange dream," he murmured. Flashes of his dream came back to him but only briefly could he grasp and comprehend them. Serena in a short mini skirt kissing him. Not that he minded either account, but it was weird. Shaking his head, Darien went to his bedroom to start his day. *********************************************************************** Serena woke up late the next morning. Luna was already long gone and Serena mentally thanked the cat for not waking her up. Putting on a black mini skirt and pink shirt, Serena headed out the door to the Crown Fruit Parlor. *********************************************************************** Darien checked his watch and sighed. Serena was late. A few months ago, he wouldn't have been surprised, but now, she was never late. Especially not to one of their dates. He was getting worried until he spotted Amy and Mina walk into the Arcade and sit at the bar. Getting up, Darien sauntered over to them. "She was really tired last night, I hope she's okay," Mina told Amy who nodded her agreement. Amy sighed. "I hope Darien can cheer her up. I don't understand but-" "Hello, Darien!" Mina chirped when she saw Darien walk up to them. Amy shut up and turned to smile at the young man. "Hello, ladies," Darien greeted them back, wondering what they were talking about that Mina felt she had to shut Amy up. "I was wondering if you've seen Serena today. She's late for our date." Amy and Mina exchanged glances and hesitated. Not knowing what to say they prayed someone else would. "Darien!" Serena's voice called as she ran into the Crown. Darien turned around and caught her as she ran into him. "I'm so sorry I'm late! I overslept and Mommy didn't wake me up and-" Darien caught her off guard by sealing his lips against hers and kissing her with all his might. Pulling back and blushing Serena giggled. "I'm happy to see you too." Darien draped an arm around Serena's shoulders and led her away to a booth. "It's okay. You're here now. I was afraid I was going to miss my daily Meatball Head dose." Serena laughed and stuck her tongue out at her boyfriend as she sat down. "Yeah, I love you too." Darien leaned forward. "Serena, I will always, always love you," he whispered. Serena's head shot up as she realized that was what he had said the night before. She expected to see strange amusement in his eyes that he was wrong and he did remember. But she saw nothing. Nothing but love. Serena smiled at him and leaned over so that her lips were right by his ear. "I know." To be continued... Wow, weird or what? I know, it's kinda depressing, but it goes with the story. Hey, if I had written it last week, it would have been even more depressing. But hey, it was romantic too! *sigh* I want someone to love like that... Well, hope you enjoyed and please, please e-mail me! I'm begging you! Stef
