Uhh...is there anything I can say besides "gomen nasai?" I really am sorry, guys! I was going to post this last week but, I sprained my wrist and wasn't able to finish this in time for the deadline. Nikki was supposed to post an apology on my behalf, but it wasn't posted for some reason. So gomen people! Okay, and to all my friends who have had injuries, illnesses and other things lately, get better soon! RATING: PG DISCLAIMER: You know, I could own it, but I'm not rich. Quote of the Week: "My chin will stay up, as long as you're there to lift it." Butterfly-chan. (Who has finally posted the next chapter of her story! Go and read!) ___________To Remember___________ "So what are we going to do?" Sailor Mercury asked as she helped Sailor Jupiter up. It had been just over a week since all of them had awakened, and the enemy was showing no signs of letting up. Each attack was becoming harder and harder for the Sailor Scouts, and they didn't know how much longer they could keep going with out Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. Groaning as she stood, Sailor Mars detransformed and answered back. "We don't do anything. We fight even if it means our deaths, and protect our Princess and Prince." Mina nodded her reluctant agreement. "Raye's right, Amy. We can't do anything. When we were brought back, Luna and Artemis promised our Queen that they would be happy. I don't want to have Serena crying again because she has to fight!" "I'm with Mina," Lita agreed as she massaged her soar neck. "But we also need a new plan! These Cardian thingies are getting tough!" "Well, what ever doesn't mill you will only make you stronger!" Mina told Lita with a cheery voice. The three girls exchanged looks and sighed. "Mina, you've got it all wrong. It's 'What ever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger,'" Amy corrected gently while shaking her head. "Are you sure?" Mina asked with a doubtful look on her face. "I could have sworn-" "We're sure!" the others yelled causing her to jump back. "Okay, if you're sure..." she trailed off when she saw the way they were looking at her. Amy shook her head again and turned back to her friends. "I wish I knew what to do. We can't go on like this." ******************************************************************************** Serena hummed as she skipped down the street to her school. Darien had an early meeting with his professor and couldn't take her to school today, so she had to walk. "It's so nice out here!" she squealed as she came up to the school. A tall boy lurking in the shadows saw her and smiled. 'Perfect. She's alone today.' Practically jumping out of the darkness, Allen landed in front of Serena with a big smile on his face. "Oh! Hi there, Allen!" Serena said with a cheerful smile on her face as she continued walking. 'He's always around me. Almost like he's following me.' Allen's eyes opened wide. "Uh-wait Serena!" he called as he ran up to her. Stopping, Serena turned around and sighed. "Allen, I'm kinda in a hurry. We'll be late if we stop and talk," she told him with a slightly annoyed tone of voice. "Well...I uh...that is, Serena..." Allen stumbled over the words as he put his hand behind his head. "ALLEN!" the two heard a new voice yell from behind them. Turning, Serena and Allen saw Anne making her way across the street to them. And she didn't look too happy. "What are you doing?!" she demanded while glaring at Serena with hate. Serena stepped back. Those eyes were so cold...hard... She'd never seen eyes like hers before. Or had she? A flash of light filled Serena's vision and she gasped. Cold eyes...anger...pain...love lost...eternal friendships... Her vision yet again coming into focus, Serena could see Anne and Allen arguing. Sighing, she turned and ran towards the school building, making it to class just as the tardy bell rang. Sitting in her seat beside Molly, Serena slummed over, breathing heavily. "Reverting back to old habits, Serena?" Molly asked with a giggle. "Hardy-har-har," Serena answered back. "For your information, I ran into Allen and he stopped me. Then Anne came and started yelling at him-" she stopped suddenly as Anne marched into the room. "Anne Granger!" Ms. Haruna yelled as she sat down. "What?" Anne asked icily. "You are late! Detention with me after school today!" she demanded as she turned back to the board and began to write the assignment on to the board. Anne shrunk in her seat and glowered at Ms. Haruna behind her back. 'I'll get you for that one day, Haruna!' Anne's as flashed red as she continued to stare at the teacher. 'You'll pay!' ******************************************************************************** Sighing happily as she sat down, Serena let a slight squeal of joy escape her lips as she looked at her friends. "Isn't it a great day, guys?" she asked with a huge smile. She got no response. "Guys?" Amy and Lita looked up at Serena and smiled tiredly. "We're okay, Serena. I just stayed up a bit too late studying," Amy explained with a yawn. 'We really need a faster way to get rid of these "Cardian" things.' Lita stretched and leaned back against the oak tree. "Yeah! I stayed up most of the night baking some cakes," Serena's eyes lit up at the mention of food, "but I forgot to bring them to school today," Lita finished her alibi quickly. Serena's face dropped and she pouted. "No cake?" she asked as her lip trembled. Lita laughed and patted her friend on the head. "No cake, Sere, sorry!" Serena's lower lip began to tremble but she soon stopped when she heard an all too familiar voice call her name out. "Hey, Serena!" Lita and Amy exchanged glances as they saw Serena cringe at the sound of Allen's voice. "What's wrong, Serena?" Amy whispered as the boy came closer. Serena sighed, "Well, it's just that, Allen is real nice and all that, but he keeps following me. And ever since I met him, I've felt very uneasy about him...I don't know if you understand, but it freaks me out." Cracking her knuckles, Lita stood up. "Should I explain what 'get lost' means to him?" she growled. 'If he's trying to separate Serena and Darien, it'll be over my dead body!' She cringed at her thought as she remembered the last battle between the Sailor Scouts and Queen Beryl. 'It was once...' Serena laughed slightly and shook her head. "I don't think so, Lita. He's annoying, but not sick." Allen smiled as he walked up to the girls. "Hello, girls. It's a nice day, isn't it?" he asked. Amy nodded, her gaze as cold as her planet, and Lita cracked her knuckles again, getting Allen's attention. "What can I do for you, Allen?" Serena questioned with a glare at her friends. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to do anything today after school?" he asked. "We could go catch a movie or something or-" Shaking her head, Serena answered him, "Allen, I'm going out with Darien and-" "How bout tomorrow, then?" he inquired. "Allen, Darien's my boyfriend. I spend most of my afternoons with him," she explained. "Well than-" "She said she's not interested, pal!" Lita yelled as she stepped forward and glared menacingly at Allen, who stepped back with slight fear in his eyes, but then glared back at her. "You don't need to speak for her, Amazon!" he yelled as he narrowed his eyes. Lita and Allen stood there and simply stared at each other for a long while, attracting from all corners of the lunch grounds. Knowing of Lita's reputation for fights, many of the guy's eyes' opened wide and they began to place bets on the outcome of the brawl. (Most bets going to Lita.) "Maybe not, but she's obviously shown that she's not interested, so buzz off!" she growled while cracking her knuckles. "Before I get angry." Allen stepped forward and lifted his arms up into a ready stance as Lita did the same. "No!" Serena yelled as she stepped in between the two and pushed her arms out. "No, no fighting! I hate fighting!" she yelled to them with tears in her eyes. "Please...no fighting..." she whispered as tears streamed down her cheeks and she collapsed to the ground. "No fighting..." Lita leaned down next to Serena and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Serena. I won't fight," she mumbled. Serena hugged the girl back and whispered ever so softly, "I don't want to fight anymore..." Lita's head shot up in surprise, but Serena didn't even seem aware of what she had said. 'Princess...' "Serena?!" she heard a familiar voice call as fast footsteps came nearer and nearer. Lita heard Allen growl and shrink away. Darien kneeled next to his love and wrapped her in a comforting embrace. He didn't know what was going on, but he knew his angel, his love, was in need of him. Picking her up, Darien walked out of the school courtyard with her in his arms. Amy walked up next to Lita and watched as the Earth Prince walked off with his Princess in his arms. "What did she say, Lita? You looked so shocked when she spoke to you," Amy stated. Lita swallowed hard with hope and despair displayed clearly in her eyes. "Call the girls, Amy. We're ditching the rest of the school day," she told her firmly as she stood up and walked off the school campus with Amy. "What?" Amy asked as she ran to catch up. "Why?" "Because," she whispered, "Serena told me that she didn't want to fight anymore. She may be getting her memory back." ******************************************************************************** Anne watched as Allen stuck his hands in his pockets and slithered away from Serena as soon as her boyfriend came up. Anne smiled slightly as she looked at the young man. Black hair, blue eyes, not too much older than she was... "Gods, he's just gorgeous," she whispered. Whistling a casual tune, Allen walked towards Anne. He narrowed his eyes as he watched her gaze follow Darien as he carried Serena out of school. 'What is she looking at?!' he thought as he glared hatefully at Darien as he explained to a teacher that she was sick and he was taking her home. 'That *human?!* How could she!' he though vehemently as he stalked over to her. "What do you think you're doing, Anne?!" he demanded as the two of them shrank back into the shadows. Anne looked up at him with narrowed eyes and flipped her hair behind her back. "Well, as long as you're chasing after the meatball head, I can chase after the hunk," she told him in an angry voice. As Anne walked off, Allen could only stare after her retreating figure with hate in his eyes. Hate for the one who had done this to Anne. ******************************************************************************** She hadn't said a word since he had taken her away from school. Darien set Serena down on the bench by the lake and gently began stroking her hair back. 'What even possessed me to go to Crossroads?' he thought. Looking down at the beauty in his arms he smiled and held her closer. 'Guess I just needed to see her,' he thought with mild uncertainty. After several minuets of simply holding her, Darien pulled back and looked into her deep blue eyes. Smiling, he leaned down and kissed the few tears that were streaking down her face away. Pulling back, Darien simply held her. "What is it, Serena?" he whispered. "What's wrong?" Serena considered her options. She, in truth, didn't know what had caused her to act like she had. The thought of fighting simply seemed to strike a cord deep within her that made her terrified. She relayed her feelings to her concerned boyfriend and he frowned. "That's weird..." he whispered. Serena nodded in response. "You're sure that you've never been in a violent situation? Ever?" Serena shook her head. "NO! Never. At least not that I remember. I guess I just have always hated violence and fighting," she mumbled. Darien placed a kiss on her forehead. "Great. Now, lets get you back to school so that you and I don't get in to too much trouble!" Serena laughed a little and hugged him a little tighter. "Thanks for listening. I don't know what came over me, Darien." "It's okay, Serena. I'm always here for you," he whispered. "Always. ******************************************************************************** The four girls watching Serena and Darien in the shadows sighed with relief. What ever Serena had mumbled about had just been subconscious and she probably didn't even know she had said it. "Sorry it was a false alarm," Lita told her friends. Luna nodded curtly to Lita, her gaze still on the Princess and Prince. "Better a false alarm than her awakening. Now, I believe all of you girls are supposed to be in school?" she suggested as she raised one of her eyebrows. ******************************************************************************** Allen crossed his arms as he pondered what Anne had said earlier to him. 'How could she fall for that-that...HUMAN!?' he asked himself as he gazed at the giant tree that took up a large amount of space in the dimensional pocket he and Anne had created. 'I don't understand her anymore.' His gaze centered on the Doom Tree. "And I don't know what's wrong with you either," he whispered. He smirked a little and held his hand out so that several cards appeared in it. "I guess you just need more energy. Don't worry, you'll have it soon enough." Pulling out a small flute, Allen began to play an enchanting tune. There was a flash of light as the Cardian formed and stood before its' master. "Cardian Puppeta," he called as the Cardian bowed to him, "go and collect all the energy you can!" ******************************************************************************** The call came early. But don't they all? Raye sighed as she jumped out of bed. She could feel the evil energy intensify with each second. Pulling out her communicator, she furiously pushed buttons on her pad, calling all of the Scouts together. 'I have a bad feeling about this.' ******************************************************************************** "MARS FIRE BIRD STRIKE!" A bird of fire shrieked towards the puppet-like Cardian who dodged out of the way. Mercury and Jupiter were already done after ten minutes and Venus and Mars weren't doing too well. The two soldiers eyed the Cardian wearily. It was average height with disjointed arms and lets that had strings attached. Its' face was painted on with bright colors and a fake smile. It roared and swung the string in its' hands around toward the Sailor Scouts, catching both of them. Sailor Venus cried out in pain as the string tightened around her neck and began to cut off her air supply. Mars fell to the ground as her energy began to drain. She looked up through half-open eyelids and saw the Cardians' masters floating in the air behind it. "Good job, Puppeta!" the female one said with glee. "Now, finish them off! No mercy," she whispered as her eyes flashed red. Mars' eyes' filled with fear as energy crackled around the Cardians' strings and was sent towards her. ******************************************************************************** "Serenity...Serenity..." a soft angelic voice whispered. Serena was floating. She was floating in a sea of colors. She turned to her side and murmured in her sleep. "Serenity, you'll be late!" the voice all but yelled. Serena sat up and then looked around at her surroundings and herself. She gazed in awe at the multi colors that at that time changed to a beautiful kingdom. At the same moment Serena's pink flannel pajamas faded into a beautiful white dress. "What is this?" she whispered. A bright light shown before her and it seemed to laugh a little. "This is who you truly are, Serenity," the same voice said as a tall woman began to shape from the light. Within moments a woman, no older than thirty, appeared. Her hair was up in the same buns and pigtails as Serena did and her dress was similar to hers, but different too. "Who I truly am?" Serena/Serenity repeated. The woman nodded, her kind eyes shinning with unshed tears. "Yes." She stepped forward and put her hand on her daughters forehead, tracing the crescent moon before she let her palm completely cover it. "It is time for you to remember, My Daughter." "What?" she whispered but quickly gasped as hundreds of memories invaded her senses. Luna...friendship...Artemis...Endymion...Her Mother... Within moments the flashes had ended, and she remembered everything. "Mother?" Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom whispered. "Hello, my dear," Queen Serenity addressed her daughter. "It's so good to see you, my darling daughter!" Serenity ran full force to her Mother and barreled into her, sobbing softly into her embrace. "Mother, I've missed you so much." Queen Serenity gently stroked her daughter hair and hugged her back. "I know. I've missed you too. But, Serenity," she began again, "I have not awakened you for no reason." Serenity pulled back from her Mother and nodded. "I know. The new monsters that have appeared." Her eyes lit up with remembrance. "That's why they've been so protective of me lately! They were already awakened! And right now..." she trailed off and looked at her mother, afraid to finish her sentence. Queen Serenity nodded an affirmative. The young Princess picked up her skirts and began to run. "I've got to go and save them!" she yelled as she began to run. "Wait, Serenity!" the Queen called out. Princess Serenity stopped and turned back to her mother who smiled. "Take these," she instructed as she held out her hands. Three objects floated towards the young princess and took shape. One was her locket, the other the Silver Crystal and the last one was a tall red scepter with an orb on the top. The Princess watched as her old broach and the Silver Crystal merged, creating a new locket. "This Moon Scepter is the symbol of a Queen. Now, say 'Moon Crystal Power!'" the Queen instructed. "Yes! And mother?" Serenity spoke up and the other looked into her eyes. "I love you." Queen Serenity's eyes filled with tears. "I love you too, Serena." "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" In a flash of ribbons and lights, Sailor Moon once again took form. She closed her eyes and relished in the feel of the power she once again held and smiled. Her smile soon faded as she looked in her mothers' eyes. "He won't remember, will he?" she whispered. Serenity shook her head 'no' and smiled wearily at her daughter. "But he loves you anyway. It doesn't make a difference if he knows or not. Good bye, Serenity. I'll see you again, someday." There was a flash of light and Sailor Moon found herself standing in the middle of a street. But she didn't mind that her mother had just abruptly left. She had said what needed to be said. "Good bye, mother." A scream caught her attention. A very familiar scream. "RAYE!" ******************************************************************************** Jupiter fought in vain to stand up as her energy was slowly zapped away from her body. Puppeta had by this time entangled all of the Sailor Scouts in her string. Her dark green eyes met the eyes of her friends and teammates, and she *knew* that they were all thinking the same thing. They had failed. All of them had utterly and miserably failed. They had failed to protect themselves, their home, and of course, their Prince and Princess. Because as soon as they died, so did any hope of the world surviving. Even Luna and Artemis had been captured. 'Serenity, Endymion...I'm so sorry,' Mercury thought as a tear slipped down her cheek. 'I should have been nicer to her,' Mars thought as she fought unconsciousness. 'This can't be!' Venus raged to herself. 'We were supposed to live until they died!' 'Please, Darien...keep her safe in our absence...' Jupiter prayed as she let out a shaky breath. No sooner had all of them finished their prayers and thoughts, then a spinning disk came shooting out from the side and cut all of the strings around them. "What?" all of the girls asked at the same time. "For the past few weeks I've felt something was wrong! And now I have proof! I sleep no longer and have awakened to help save my world and my very best friends!" a familiar voice called out. "It can't be..." Luna whispered as she struggled to stand. A short girl with hair in buns and pigtails jumped down from a nearby roof top and landed in front of her friends. Her blue eyes glared at the two Aliens and the Cardian as she continued. "I am an agent of love and justice! The solider Sailor Moon!" she yelled. "In the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!" "What?!" Allen yelled as he glared at the new arrival. "Another solider?!" Sailor Moon looked directly into his eyes. Eyes that she felt she should know and brought out her scepter. "That's right. I am the last Sailor Scout and I will never allow you to hurt my friends!" Turning to the monster that had almost taken some of the most important people in her life away from her, Sailor Moon aimed her scepter. "MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!" Before the Cardian even had a chance to move, it was gone; with only a small back card left of what it had been. Satisfied that it was indeed gone, Sailor Moon turned to the aliens. "And now for you! Moon Scepter-" The two green aliens disappeared and reappeared behind Sailor Moon, who turned to face them. "We won't for get this Sailor Moon!" Anne said as she and Allen disappeared. Letting out a sigh of relief, Sailor Moon turned to her friends who had managed to stand up on their own. With a smile Sailor Moon gazed at her friends with love and friendship in her eyes. (AN: Get it? 'Love and Friendship?' GET IT?! Oh, never mind!) "Hi, guys," she whispered. "Did ya miss me?" Four girls and two cats rushed the Moon Princess and into her arms. "Serena!" "Sailor Moon!" "Serenity!" "Princess!" "Meatball Head!" Sailor Moon turned towards the person who had called out the last name and narrowed her eyes. Sailor Mars grinned and detransformed, leaving a grinning Raye Hino in her place. "Old habits die hard," she stated with a shrug. Sailor Moon, now Serena, rolled her eyes at the priestess and turned back to her other friends. "It's good to have you back, Serena," Luna said as she nuzzled against her Princess's leg. Serena bent down and picked the black cat up. "Guess Mother knew we couldn't do with out each other, huh guys?" "Yeah," they agreed simultaneously. "So it's official," Mina grinned, "the Sailor Scouts are a team again." "No," Serena shook her head. "There's one of us missing." "Darien," Amy stated and got a nod from Serena. "Isn't he going to awaken?" Lita questioned almost frantically. She knew Serena better than most people thought. As soon as Darien found out her secret and they fell in love, she had seen a drastic change in her friend. She was less depressed and lively again. She ate more and slept better and all because Darien was willing to listen to her. With out him there, things could get really ugly for Serena. "Mother said, that he wasn't going to awaken. We have to fight without him," Serena murmured through her tears. "Queen Serenity?" Artemis asked. "Let's get to the Temple, I guess all of us have stories to tell," Serena sighed and made a face. "Joy, I get to go to meetings again!" Laughter rose from the street as five girls and their Guardians made their way to the sidewalk and disappeared in to the night. ******************************************************************************** Whistling a tune as he walked down the sidewalk, Darien spotted his girl friend along with four other girls at the park. Smiling, he sneaked up behind her. Lita saw him and he put his fingers to his lips, indicating he wanted to surprise her. Giving a smile of reassurance, Lita went back to her conversation. Ever so quietly, Darien came with in only six inches of Serena and reached to grab her around her waist when- "Don't even think about it, Darien," his girlfriend said with out turning around. "Hey!" Darien yelled. "How did you know I was there?" he whined a bit causing the others to laugh. Serena turned and gazed at her boyfriend with a small smile on her face. "I could here you as soon as you walked into the park," she told him. Darien smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist. Serena smiled a sad little smile as they gazed into each other's eyes. "Serena? Are you okay?" Darien asked. Smiling again, Serena nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine, Darien. I'm just fine," she whispered. As the two walked out of the park the four girls and two cats exchanged glances. No, this certainly wasn't going to be easy. To be continued... So, how'd ya like? It took me a long time to write this! The problem wasn't writers block but my wrist! I've had so many ideas and I haven't been able to write! Well, thanks for reading and so sorry again! Okay, I have some info on the Dubbed Sailor Moon movies. I bought the R last weekend and if you are a huge fan of the original, than I suggest you rent this first and see if you want to buy it! I thought it was great, but not as good as the subbed. (But even in the sub they cut the swear words out. Didn't anyone else notice that?) And they've got Allen doing Darien's voice again! So there's a big warning for Darien fans and if you want more info please mail me. Mail me anyway! Stef
