Hi hi, as Tembo would say! Next chapter of Truths, coming your way! Ugh, I just realised what I said. RATING: PG- Romance, but nothing explicit! (Yeah, sorry Lady Z, but I told you!) And some fighting. Otherwise it's nothing, just like normal. DISCLAIMER: I D-O N-O-T O-W-N S-A-I-L-O-R M-O-O-N! I figured one of these days I'd have to spell it out for you people! Quote of the Week: TRUTHS, RENEWAL CHAPTER 1 SEQUEL TO: TRUTHS; TRUTHS, SECRETS REVEALED; TRUTHS, LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP ___________Fire and Ice___________ Alan smiled slightly as Cardian Seeda jumped into another alleyway and a human scream was heard. Seeda came out from the dark passage and leapt on to a building, heading off into the night in search of more humans. Anne appeared behind Allan and laughed slightly as the Cardian took off into the night. "Humans have such wonderful energy, don't they, Love?" she whispered. Allen nodded in agreement. "It's the only thing they're good for. This whole planet is a waste of matter. The pure energy that is given off is all that is needed." In the distance, another scream was heard and the two aliens disappeared. "I think Seeda can handle this herself," Allan said as he and Anne reappeared in their apartment. ******************************************************************* Luna looked from the screen of Central Control to Artemis. "We... we promised," she whispered to Artemis. "They won't be happy or safe if we awaken them! W-we shouldn't." Artemis looked out a window to the bright moon shinning outside the Arcade. "We must. Luna, we don't have time to argue! What ever this is, it's going to do some serious damage!" Luna didn't answer and simply avoided his gaze. "We won't awaken Serena or Darien right now. Just the girls. That way they can still protect them." "Yes," Luna agreed. "Amy and Raye's homes are closest to here, lets go get them!" Artemis nodded in agreement and the two took off into the night. ******************************************************************* Amy Anderson rubbed her temples as she tried to focus on the Calculus book in front of her. It was late, but she studied best at night, so that wasn't the problem. "Why does my head hurt so bad?" she asked as she grabbed the sides of her head. "It's pounding! Is something wrong with me?!" Amy collapsed to her knees as tears began to fill up her eyes. "Amy!" a voice called. Amy didn't look up. She felt she should know the voice, but she didn't in a way. "AMY! Get up!" Amy forced herself to look up and was startled to find only a cat standing on her windowsill. "What?" Luna jumped from the window down to where Amy was and walked beside her. "Amy, listen to me! I know you don't know me, but I know you!" "You talk..." Amy trailed off with a weak voice. Luna cut her off. "There is no time for that, Amy! Yes, I talk. But right now, I need your help!" Nodding slightly Amy stood up, but almost immediately collapsed again. "Oh, Kitty, I can't! What ever you need help with, I am too sick to help you." Luna literally put her foot -er- *paw* down. "You are not sick! The magic inside of you, combined with the Princess's wish, is trying to not let you remember! It was told to not let you remember!" she said with wide red eyes. Bringing her head up, Amy gazed at the cat. "Kitty, what are you talking about? How can this even be real?! Cat's don't talk!" she practically yelled. Luna looked down, and then back up. "Oh, Amy. I just hope you'll forgive me for doing this to you again." Amy looked at her strangely, but didn't have time to respond. Luna's crescent moon began to glow as she stepped closer to Amy. "Forgive me." The glowing beam from her crescent moon came into contact with Amy's forehead. Amy gasped as the beam of light hit her and the symbol of Mercury appeared on her brow. Memories assaulted her consciousness as the magical barrier inside of her was lifted. First meeting Serena; her first battle; the joining of the other Sailor Scouts; the fights for the Rainbow Crystals; the discovery of the Moon Princess, Earth Prince and Serena and Darien's love for each other; and even her sacrifice in the final battle. As her memories finished returning, Amy felt tears come to her eyes. "Luna?" Luna smiled and walked forward. "It's good to see you, Sailor Mercury!" Amy nodded and looked down at the cat as she pushed something into her palm. "We need you help, Amy. We believe that there is a new enemy! The readings coming from Central Control indicate that right now there is one. We need you, Sailor Mercury." "Yes." Amy smiled at Luna. "Yes!" "MERCURY POWER!" ******************************************************************* Raye Hino sat in deep meditation in front of the Sacred Fire. Over the past couple of days since that meteor she had been getting a strange feeling that something was going to happen. Something that was both good and bad at the same time. Her eyes snapped open as a strong evil presence filtered into the back of her mind causing her head to pound. "What is this? An evil like I have never felt before..." "It is called the Negaverse," a male voice spoke up from the doorway. Raye whipped around for the source of her intruder only to find a small white cat with a golden crescent moon on it's forehead. "Who said that?" she demanded. Artemis sighed. "I did, Raye." The young Priestess's eyes got impossibly wide and she took an involuntary step back. "You just-" The cat rolled his eyes. "Yes, I can talk. Quite well if I do say so myself." Raye simply stood there in shock and Artemis stepped forward. "I know this is strange Raye, but you have to trust me. I need your help." "My help?" she managed to squeak out. Nodding, the cat came forward. "Yes. Your help." A beam from his crescent moon came into contact with Raye's brow and caused the sign of Mars to appear. With a gasp, Raye watched in her mind as images from her previous battles flashed before her eyes. Battles; friends; a Princess and her Prince; The Sailor Scouts. Artemis took a tentative step forward. "Sailor Mars?" Raye smiled, but her tone was serious. "What is this about the Negaverse? How can it be back?!" "Chill, Raye! Yes, they appear to be back, but don't trust me! You just found out from the Sacred Fire." "Sorry. It's just-" A shrill beeping interrupted her sentence and Raye reached for her communicator. "This is Mars." Amy's face appeared in the screen. "Raye! It's good to see you again!" "Hi, Ames! Or is it Mercury? I see they woke you up too, huh?" Sailor Mercury nodded. "Yes. Now listen, I need you to transform and meet me at the pedestrian bridge near the park. There's a monster terrorizing people there!" "I'll meet you there, Mercury!" Raye said as she reached into her dimensional pocket. "Let's see if this still works!" "MARS POWER!" ******************************************************************* Serena was nestled comfortably under Darien's arm as they walked down on of the more quiet streets in Tokyo. It had been a wonderful day for them. First a movie and then dinner with a sunset stroll afterwards. She sighed in contempt and Darien held her tighter to him. "Darien...this feels so...so..." "Perfect," Darien supplied for her. He chuckled a bit and kissed her temple. "I know, Meatball Head. Everything's perfect when I'm with you." Serena blushed profusely and looked away from him. "Darien! You don't have to say that!" Darien stopped and put both of his hands on her shoulders. "Serena, I say that because it's true. I would never lie to you, and I trust you to never lie to me. Every time I touch you, every time we kiss, every time I even see or think of you is perfect!" He took her chin in his hand and brought her eyes to meet his. "I love you." Tears filled Serena's eyes at his words. "Darien, I-I...I just don't know what to say!" She reached up and touched his face. Darien leaned into her caress and kissed her fingers. "Just say what you feel, Serena," he whispered to her as he stared her in the eye. Serena through her arms around her love's neck. "Oh Darien!" she whispered. "I love you so much. I love you..." Wrapping his arms around her petite waist, Darien was simply content with holding his blond haired angel. His guardian angel. The one who had pulled him from the eternal darkness that was his life with her smile and bubbly laughter. To Darien's surprise and disappointment, Serena pulled away. "We should get home before Dad decides to polish his shotgun and use it!" Darien gave a small, but nervous, laugh as he wrapped an arm around Serena's waist. "Yeah, I'd like to live to see tomorrow." They had gone about two more steps when a familiar scream sounded down the street. Two heads snapped up at the sound of the cry. "Oh my gosh! That's sounds like Molly!" Serena exclaimed as she ran off toward the sound of Molly's voice. Yelling as her ran after her, Darien followed her to wherever Molly was. "Serena, wait! It could be dangerous!" They ran as fast as they could toward the setting sun and didn't stop until they reached the pedestrian bridge near Tokyo Park. Serena took a step back when she saw what was attacking Molly. "Oh no," was all she whispered. Molly was at the base of the bridge in the clutches of a woman, or at least it had a woman's characteristics, with beaded hair and a rounded body that was shaped like a seed. Covering her was a long green dress with flowers over it. Molly's hands were trying desperately to pull away the hair that the monster had around her neck even as she became weaker. "LET HER GO!" Serena yelled as she rushed forward. The Cardian smiled and did as told, throwing Molly back into Serena, who in turn, was then thrown back into Darien. She lay Molly on the ground and checked her breathing and pulse. Finding them normal, she then concentrated on the monster in front of her, who was slowly coming closer to her and Darien. Darien wrapped his arms protectively around Serena, prepared to do anything to save her. He looked at both sides of him, but there was nowhere to run. (AN: Hee-hee! Okay, so I put in puns! Sue me!) Seeda's hair stretched and grabbed Serena and Darien, slithering around their throats and arms and lets in an unbreakable grip. Serena tried to scream, but it caught in her throat as the hair around her began to glow and she slowly began to loose consciousness. "Darien..." she whispered as her head fell limp with a sigh. Darien watched through half-closed lids as Serena went limp. 'If nothing else, please,' he silently begged whoever was listening, 'please, let me find her again.' "MARS FIRE IGNITE!" The flame of Mars sliced through the air and just as easily through the vine that held it's wielders Princess and Prince. The Cardian screamed and grabbed it's head as it retracted its' hair. It looked up and sneered at the two new arrivals, who seemed to have something that could hurt her. Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury landed nimbly in front of their friends. "I'm just warming up, hotshot!" Mars yelled as she powered up again. "MARS FIRE IGNITE!" ******************************************************************* Darien lifted himself partially off the ground and saw a woman, no a young girl, leaning over Serena with a strange device. She had blue hair and wore a very short skirt that matched her mane. He didn't know who she was, and right then he didn't care. She was near his love after what had just happened, and that worried him. "Get away from her!" Darien yelled to the girl as he stood up. Sailor Mercury looked up from her readings, startled, at the young Princes' outburst. Darien rushed forward and took Serena into his arms, cradling her gently. "Please, Darien," Sailor Mercury said as she stood. "I need to make sure that she only had her energy-" she stopped suddenly when she realized her mistake. "How do you know my name?" he asked while narrowing his eyes. Mercury gulped, but was saved when Sailor Mars screamed. "Oh no! J-just get out of here!" she told Darien. She ran back to the battle, which was only about ten feet away, and prepared to fight. "MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!" A thick mist shrouded the entire area causing the Cardian to wail in rage at not being able to see her targets. "We aren't strong enough, Mercury!" Mars said as she came to stand next to her friend. "We need Sailor Moon!" Mercury looked behind her to where she could see Darien backing away with Serena in his arms, while trying to carry Molly at the same time. "We can't, Mars!" "Definitely not!" Luna agreed. "I made a vow the Queen Serenity that I would make sure she was happy!" Luna's eyes filled with tears. "She was never happy when she fought. We can't." "Then how else can we?!" Mars yelled back through her tears. "We have to believe in ourselves," Mercury told her friend gently. "They died because she believed in us. Let's believe in what she did." Seeda roared and charged the two Scouts as the fog cleared. The flowers on her body flew off and tried to attach to the warriors. Mars felt her anger rise and grit her teeth together. "This is for you, Serena," she hissed. An uncharacteristic rage filled Mercury as she heard her own words replayed through her mind. "They believed in us..." "MERCURY..." "MARS..." "ICE BUBBLES..." "FIRE BIRD..." "FREEZE!!" "STRIKE!!" The two powers, so different yet having the same purpose, combined together. The foam of ice wrapped around the bird of flame and went straight to the Cardian. There was no scream as the attacks hit the monster and disintegrated it with a card falling to the ground after it and the face of the Cardian disappearing. The two girls smiled broadly and hugged each other enthusiastically. "Yes! WE DID IT!" Mars said with a huge grin. "Even with just the two of us! I told you, Mars!" Mercury said as she laughed. She then went forward and grabbed the card with delicate hands. Taking a baggie out of her dimensional pocket, she quickly placed the card inside and sealed it up. "Hate to interrupt this celebration," a new, male, voice put in sarcastically, "but that wasn't in the rule book." Heads whipped to face the new arrivals and they were met with two alien creatures. One with pink hair and a red suit, the other with blue hair and a dark blue suit. "Who are you!?" Mars demanded as flames danced in her hands. "Explain yourself!" Mercury yelled as she prepared her attack again. "Our names are not important," the pink one, a female, said snidely. "Just know this, if you plan on stopping us from taking energy, you will be terminated." With that the two were gone in a flash of light and wind. Two sighs escaped from the area and both Sailor Scouts slid to the ground. "Not bad for our first battle in...what's it been? A month and a half?" Mars said as she began to examine her injuries. "Yes," Artemis agreed as he jumped down from his perch in a tree. "You're both in great shape! And those new powers!" "Fantastic!" Luna agreed with a cats' smile. The two girls blushed, but quickly hid it with business faces. "We should go and check on Serena and Darien! Serena was out, and Darien had a lot of energy taken too!" Mercury said as she reverted back to Amy. "Not to mention Molly!" Raye said with a half smile after she was done detransforming. "How many times that this make it that she's had her energy drained? Or been used by the Negaverse in anyway or form?" The cats laughed along with the girls and climbed onto two friendly shoulders. ******************************************************************* Darien struggled with the two girls he was holding as he walked down the street. He was strangely tired and couldn't figure out why. Or why Serena had passed out so quickly. Or why there was a monster there. There were so many things that he didn't understand. The only thing he did know was that he had to find help fast. With his strength quickly waning, and the girls being hurt, he needed a phone or a friend, fast. "Darien?!" a voice from behind him exclaimed. Darien turned around and squinted his eyes. A batch of blue hair and another head of raven came running towards him. "Amy?" he managed to croak out before finally giving up and dropping to his knees and passing out, with Molly falling to his side and Serena staying safely in his arms. "Well, I think that answers the question of whether or not they're okay," Raye muttered sarcastically under her breath. Amy wasn't listening, she had already run to the nearest pay phone while Raye turned all of the energy victims on their backs. Raye felt a tear come to her eye as she looked at Serena's pale face. "If we had only been there sooner," she whispered. "I'm sorry, Princess." ******************************************************************* With a small moan, Serena turned over and sighed. 'So warm...did I fall asleep in Darien's embrace?' she thought. 'Get a grip girl!' her subconscious told her sarcastically. 'No. I must have fallen asleep in his arms! I'm so warm!' 'Yeah right!' 'Hey! Who asked you anyway?!' 'Well it just so happens that I know where you are and what's going on!' 'Really? What?' 'You're in a hospital, you moron!' "What?" Serena whispered as she woke up. She looked around saw only white. White sheets, white walls even the doors were white. She turned her head a little and saw Darien kneeling next to her on the floor. His hand was holding tight to hers, as though he seemed afraid that she might try to leave or fade away. Serena sat up and nudged Darien a little. "Sweetie, wake up," she whispered to him. With a smile she stopped trying and traced his jaw line with her finger. "He looks so beautiful when he sleeps. So innocent." Serena leaned forward and brushed her lips with his and gave a small start when he responded to her lips. Darien smiled into the kiss and gently broke it when his lungs began to burn. Running a hand through her hair, Darien spoke softly, "Well, you look even more beautiful when you sleep." Serena flushed slightly and looked away, only to look back at him and smile for a millisecond before his lips caught hers again in a soul-searing kiss. "Please, don't ever scare me like that again, Serena," Darien whispered as he pulled her into his warm embrace. Serena inhaled his scent and sighed outward. "Oh Darien...I would only leave this world if it was with you." Darien tightened his arms around her, not knowing if she was aware of what she had said. And neither knowing the truth in her words. ******************************************************************* Raye grinned slightly and closed the door to Serena's room gently. She gave a thumbs-up signal Dr. Anderson, who smiled and walked away. "Guess something's will never change," Luna said from her place on Amy's lap. "I take it they're-" "Making out like there's no tomorrow?" "RAYE!" Amy exclaimed as she put her hand over the Priestess' mouth. "We get the point!" A flash of white jumped up to Amy's shoulder. "Well, for Darien it must have felt like that," Artemis explained. "After all, they are soul bonded." Looking away, Raye felt another thought trickle into her mind. "Guys?" Three heads snapped to attentive states at Raye's solemn whisper. "What is it, Raye?" Amy asked as she knitted her brows in concern. She swallowed before continuing, "What about the others? Will we awaken Jupiter and Venus, too?" she asked quietly. "Or is it just us?" With a small nod, Luna answered. "I think we may need to. Your new powers are very strong, much stronger than I would have thought, but you won't be able to do it on your own." Artemis winked at the girls, "You aren't mad at us for awakening you, right?" Laughter. It had been so long since either Amy or Raye had really laughed. As soon as they were separated from their friends and fellow warriors, both the Priestess and sharp student had fallen from their usual cheeriness. Being apart from the girls and Darien had taken its toll, and now neither would have it any other way. They *wanted* to remember. They wanted to be friends again, even if they would have become friends with out the fighting, it still wasn't fast enough. If remembering meant being friends faster, the two girls decided that they would take it. Lifting her gaze to meet her Guardian cats and friends, Raye answered. "Friends and fighting, I can live with that." "Even if it means sacrificing all that study time, I'd rather fail a class than miss out on being friends with Serena, Lita, Mina and Raye!" Blue and red eyes exchanged worried glances and Raye jumped out of her seat. "Are you feeling alright, Ames?" She put her hand on Amy's forehead. "Hmm...No, no fever. Is something bothering you?" Amy crossed her arms. "I happen to believe that friends are more important then any grade! I would rather fail than not be friends with you, Raye!" Raye laughed and slugged Amy lightly in the arm. Behind them, they heard a door open and quickly turned around. Darien and Serena slowly came walking out of the room, with Darien being careful not to hurt her. Serena smiled slightly at her two friends. Sitting down next to them, Serena smiled. "Darien tells me that you guys got us to the hospital, and that it was some kind of monster?" she asked as her lids began to droop. "What ever it was that attacked us got her the worse then either Molly or I," Darien said in a slightly tired voice. "That's very strange," Amy pondered to herself. "Perhaps..." she trailed off, not knowing the answer. "Darien," the girls and Darien faced the sandy haired man who had addressed him, "you promised that when Serena woke up, you'd go to bed!" Andrew reprimanded his friend. "She awake and fine, so now it's your turn to rest!" Darien glared at his friend. "Who died and made you King of the Earth?" Darien asked sarcastically. With a grin and wink at Serena Andrew tried to show Darien whose boss. "Well, I'm the intern today, you're not! So get!" Serena giggled and took Darien's arm. "Come on," she whispered. "There are two beds in the room, you can have the other one." Shaking his head as he walked back in, the girls could hear him mutter, "Well, today was just a weird day if you ask me." The door closed with a soft *click* and all three of the others began to crack up. Luna and Artemis ran so that they could giggle with out Andrew hearing them. Wiping a tear from his eye, Andrew bid his friends a good day, and went to find the doctor. The laughter died a quick death as Amy and Raye were reminded why they were there. "Let's go and sit with them," Raye suggested. Amy nodded and they knocked on the door. Hearing a soft 'Come in,' the girls entered and smiled slightly at the sight before them. Luna and Artemis came in behind them and watched Darien and Serena. Darien was lying down, apparently already asleep, with Serena sitting at the side of the bed, softly brushing his hair away from his face. "Hey guys," she whispered when Amy and Raye were fully inside the room. "Thanks for saving us." The girls looked at each other startled until Serena continued. "I mean, finding Darien and calling the ambulance. Who knows what may have happened if it wasn't you who had found us." "It was our pleasure, Serena," Raye smiled. "After all, you're the only person who actually talked to me with out being afraid." Quick to agree, Amy joined the conversation. "Yes. And you were the first person who never used me for my grades! You didn't even want to study!" Serena smiled at them, and then looked back at Darien. She could feel he would be all right, the doctors hadn't said so, but she knew. She leaned down and kissed him one more time before Raye and Amy dragged her to her own bed and she fell asleep. ******************************************************************* Anne was furious, to say the least. She was *pissed.* "Who were those little brats?" she asked out loud. "How could they have destroyed Seeda so easily?" Allan ignored his girlfriends' ranting and thought back to the battle. 'We need Sailor Moon!' "I think there may be more of them then just those two," he stated carefully. Anne stopped her pacing and stared at him. "What did you say?" Allan walked passed her and placed his hand on the Doom Tree. The Tree that gave them their strength. Without it, they were as good as dead. "Just from the way they were acting. I don't think they were the only two." He removed his hand from the stump and clenched it. "But we can't let them interfere with our getting energy!" he said angrily. "They could end up killing the tree!" he exploded as more leaves fell from it. Allan disappeared and Anne started solemnly at the Tree. "If only you could understand! We are trying!" She disappeared along with Allan. If she had stayed just a moment longer, she would have heard. "Help..." To be continued... Oh, I'm sorry if this wasn't very good! I didn't know how many Scouts were going to be awakened at first, but I guess I did okay! *smiles* Stef-chan
