STAR CROSSED MEMORIES: PART II By MoonKlutz moonklutz@yahoo.com Part 2 Rat: G Serena stood in front of the bulletin board at her school. "Hmmm..." she said as she scanned the activities for Action Week. Action Week was a weeklong exploratory like program that worked with other schools. Basically, people would sign up and be paired with someone from another school for a week. 'Mountain Climbing with T.A School for Girls... Camping with J.A Academy for the gifted... Story Writing with Azabu...' She finally found one that interested her. 'If I take this course and pass, I'll get another credit so I can pass on to grade ten!' she thought, smiling and signed up on the sheet. Ms. Haruna was telling her class who their partners would be.... "Molly Baker, John Kent. Melvin Umino (sorry, I couldn't remember Melvin's NA last name, so I used hi original first name), Stephanie Smith. Serena Tsukino, Darien Chiba...." 'Darien Chiba? Isn't that Darien's last name?' Serena wondered. 'And doesn't he go to Azabu? Oh no! I'm working with Darien!' she shrieked mentally. Part of her was annoyed. Now she was stuck with some mean old 16yr old. Part of her was happy. 'He is kind of cute...' "You'll be meeting your partners tomorrow. Good Luck!" Ms. H said as the bell rang. Serena left the room lost in her thoughts. She headed for the arcade right after school. Serena shoved her way through the crowd to the Sailor V Fighter Game and plunked a quarter in. A tune popped into her head and she hummed it as she played. Soon she was immersed in the game and four levels higher than the last time she had played this well. A bell rang loudly and something came out of the prize slot. It was a small pink broach with the outline of a gold star and four colored balls on it. Serena smiled. 'It's pretty!' "Congratulations Serena." Andrew said from behind her. "You passed the entire game!" "I did?" Serena looked back at the screen. "I DID! WAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! YES! YES! YES!" she cried, jumping off her stool. She walked outside in a daze. "Hey Serena!" Serena looked up to see Darien waving as he walked towards her. "Hi Darien!" she said as she met him half way. "Hey, do you got to Azabu?" she asked. "Yeah, why?" "Cause I got paired with a Darien Chiba from Azabu for this thing during Action Week. It's a paired writing assignment with an Azabu student?" she asked him. (Asked? Stated? I have no idea, what so ever...) 'Don't tell me- You're Serena Tsukino?" he feigned surprise. It had actually taken Ami a lot of hacking to get them together, but not nearly as much as it had taken to get the FBI and CIA to 'forget' about the Sailor Scouts and think they were only a cartoon... "So we're partners?" she asked. "Yeah, I guess so." He said smiling lopsidedly at her. 'Oh wow... When he smiles it's just.... Wow! Totally hot!' she thought. "You should smile more Darien. It really suits you." She commented to cover her feelings. "Thanks." He said, smiling again. 'What was that in her eyes just now?' "So what do you want to write about?" Serena asked. "Well, I was thinking we could make up some really sad story with a happy ending that takes place on the moon or something." He said as casually as he could. "Oh yeah! There could be a war, and a prince and princess... that kind of thing, right?" she asked, getting excited. "Right! That's exactly what I was thinking!" He said happily. 'Maybe if she writes it, she'll remember!' Darien thought. "Why don't we talk about it over some cherry pie? Lita made one for me just yesterday." He suggested. "Lita?" Serena asked. "You know her?" "Oh sure! We're good friends now." he said as they walked towards his apartment building. A moment or two latter, they entered the elevator. Serena felt a pin prick of feeling in the back of her head. 'Something's wrong!' she thought immediately. 'How did I...?' Somewhere not very far away, Luna was hopping rooftops to get to Darien's balcony. They stepped out of the elevator and down the hall to Darien's apartment. There was a mewing sound from behind the door. "You have a cat?" she asked him. "No..." He replied. "I wonder how it got in?" He unlocked the door and Luna jumped to Serena's shoulder. "Luna! I'd better take her home! Sorry I can't stay Darien! I'll see you tomorrow!" she said and ran down the hall. She had remembered. "I'm Sailor Moon..." she whispered. Luna perked up. "Good! You remember at least that! Now transform! Yell Moon Crystal Power!" "Right!" she nodded in acceptance. "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" Serena called out, holding her new broach tightly in one hand. Soon, Sailor Moon stood there and raced out to the Tokyo Animation Studio. Darien had watched from around the corner. He smiled. It was good to at least have Sailor Moon back, even if she didn't remember anything else. He pulled out his rose and transformed, following his love. "JUPITER THUNDER, DRAGON!" cried Sailor Jupiter as she hurled her powers at the cardian before her. It dodged to one side. Mars, Mercury and Venus were unconscious, so it was up to her. "Oh Serena, where are you when we need you?" she asked the dusty, tired air. "Right here Jupiter!" came a familiar voice. Lita's head snapped up. "Sailor Moon?" "I am Sailor Moon, champion of Justice and defender of innocence! I have returned, and I won't have you ruining this studio! In the name of the newly awakened Moon! You're Punished!" AN: You're punished is what she originally said in the manga version of SM She leapt down from the pillar where she had been standing and pulled out her scepter, (though she had never had it before...) "MOON, SCPETER, ELIMINATION!" she cried as the light hit the youma and it turned to dust. "Well done Sailor Moon!" came a familiar voice. She turned to see Tuxedo Mask flying away. "Tuxedo Mask?" she whispered. "Hey Sailor Moon! Good to have you back!" said Venus as she stood up beside her. "Yeah, we missed you!" Mercury added cheerfully. "'Bout time you remembered!" Snorted Mars. "Oh Rei!" Sailor Moon cried giving her a big hug. "I missed you guys so much!" To Be continued Next week! Can Darien win Serena over again?
