Star Crossed Destinies- Part 5 - Twilight {---Disclaimers go here ---} The final part (excluding epilogue) of SCD! Be prepared for the epilogue and next season 'Star Crossed Memories' Coming to a central control weekly zips page and the silver planet near you! I hope everyone likes this! It took me half the summer to type and several weeks to type... But that may just be because I'm lazy. =) Check out what's happened since the dreamscape... Oh! BTW- this one looks sad at the beginning, but don't worry. I NEVER let a sad ending occur within my writing domain... Serena sat up in bed gasping. She was boiling hot and sweating all over. The dream had been so real! Was it real? 'I don't understand any of this!' she thought harshly, gulping in deep breaths of air. 'Did Darien have the same dream?' she wondered. 'No... that's impossible! But it couldn't hurt to ask... This is crazy! Go to sleep and live your life Serena...' she told herself. "BEEP BEEP BEEP!" The sound was coming from her bedside table and 'all call' was flashing on her communicator. Serena tapped the 'talk' button and Sailor Mars' face came on. "Serena! Get to Jubaan Park ASAP!" she called hurriedly over the small device. "Right!" Serena agreed. She transformed and leapt out the window, disappearing into the night. "MARS FIRE IGNITE!" Rei screamed as flames burst from her fingers. Zoisite and Malachite easily avoided the flames, teleporting to the side. "Is that the best you've got?" Malachite taunted. "No, but you'll be wishing it was!" came a new voice. "Sailor Moon!" cried the scouts in unison as all heads turned towards a nearby tree. Sailor Moon leapt down from the tree limb and landed perfectly in front of the scouts. "Right! I won't stand for you bullying my friends! In the name of the moon! You're punished!" she cried "'Bout time..." Rei muttered under her breath. Zoisite jumped into the game aiming two fingers at the off guard Sailor Moon. "ZOI!" The blast hit Sailor Moon square in the chest and she was thrown against the tree she had stood in earlier. "Ahhh! My ankle!" she cried as her sore foot hit the ground. "Sailor Moon!" came another new voice. "Darien?" she asked the cloudy sky. "You must overcome pain to defeat a lost cause! Draw strength from within! From your past!" 'Why did I say that?' he wondered silently. Serena looked up and saw Tuxedo Mask standing between the scouts and the nega-verse generals. She saw the ice blade form in Malachite's hand. Serena leapt to her feet and ran as fast as she could, pushing Tuxedo Mask out of the way, but just before she reached him she saw the look of surprise and pain pass through his eyes, saw him keel over before she flung him aside. They both fell to the ground, grimacing at the pain. Serena kneeled at his side, not noticing the two rainbow crystals that fell from his pocket, rolled towards the generals and were taken away by Malachite, who vanished immediately. "Tuxedo Mask! No, please don't go..." she cried. Tuxedo Mask opened his eyes painfully. "Don't let our dream die, Serena..." he whispered in a weakened tone. "No, Darien, no please, I love you, don't leave me!" she cried, hugging him to her as a tear slipped down her cheek, he fell limp. The tear stopped as it fell from her face and floated, shimmering, inches above his chest. Serena looked in awe at the floating drop of silver. Seven crystals appeared from seemingly nowhere and circled the drop, joining it one by one, until the Imperium Silver Crystal had formed before her. It was glowing brightly and shed that light over Darien's fallen form. He opened his eyes and smiled, suddenly becoming Prince Darien before closing his eyes again. erena stared at the crystal. It began to rise and she followed until she was standing when she began to spin and spin and spin until the Moon Princess stood there. She kneeled once more and placed Darien's head in her lap, holding the crystal in one hand and the Moon wand in the other. She solemnly placed them together and put them aside. "Darien?" she whispered, tears stinging her eyes, "Darien, say something, please!" Darien opened his eyes and smiled. "We're finally free." He said proudly and sat up slowly. Ami, battling her shock, took out her visor from her sub-space pocket and mini computer, analyzing Darien's wound. After a moment she gasped. "There are no signs of damaged tissue or blood loss at all! He's totally healed! This is incredible!" Serena and Darien were oblivious to Ami though. They simply sat there and stared at each other. Zoisite had recovered from her previous shock, seeing the silver imperium crystal, and prepared to attack again. "You little ditz! You'll never be able to handle that crystal, so hand it over! The whole bunch of you can't stop the power of the nega-force!" "Yeah, right!" retorted Rei. "You're finished!" "Majorly toasted!" added Mina. "We stand for love and justice!" Chimed Lita. "And live to dump trash like you!" Ami added vehemently. "Oh please. Give it a rest Sailor Saps. You gonna talk, or you gonna fight?" came Malachite's malicious voice as he stepped out of a portal and onto the lush grass. He swished his cloak out behind himself in a flash of arrogance. "Now hand over the silver crystal before we toast your friends!" he said, aiming the comment at the princess. Her head snapped up at the remark, rising to her feet gracefully, crystal in hand. "Thou vile hands shalt never be laid upon this crystal and thine mistress will not own my verse. We will triumph over evil! In the name of the moon! You're punished!" she cried as she raised the wand over her head. "COSMIC MOON POWER!" Energy pulsed out of the crystal and surrounded her in a glowing nimbus. 'Give me strength...' she whispered in the silence of her mind. She didn't think it would do any good, but she had to think positive. The scouts and Darien gasped. Her mouth hadn't moved, but they had heard her as clear as the dawn that was spreading on the horizon! Ami, being the most rational, reacted first. She set her feet firmly into the soft turf and clenched her fists. "MERCURY POWER!" she shouted as a wave of blue energy flowed out of her and hit the crystal. The others senshi followed suit. "MARS POWER!" "JUPITER POWER!" "VENUS POWER!" Life energy in powerful reds, greens and golds flowed out of them and also sliced into the crystal. A flash of light and it doubled in size as the scouts started to sink to their knees with a drawn out collective moan. Darien didn't know what to do. He couldn't say anything! He never did, it just... came. He closed his eyes, searching the darkness of his mind until he found a brilliant light hiding away in one corner. "I love you Serena." He said as a blast of his energy flowed out of him, lasting longer than all of the scouts combined and sliced into the crystal. Another brilliant flash of light as the crystal tripled in size. Serena opened her eyes and hurled the collective energy at Zoisite and Malachite whose continuos dark energy blasts during that whole scene had had no effect on any of their targets. They shrieked and slammed into a tree as the energy engulfed them. When the light dissipated, Serena had reverted to Sailor Moon and lay unconscious on the ground. There was no sign of Malachite or Zoisite excluding two burned patches of grass that vaguely resembled their forms. Darien blinked repeatedly, noticing that he was once again Tuxedo Mask. Then he saw Sailor Moon's limp form lying unconscious on the grass. Tears stung his eyes and he raced to her side, grasping her hand in his, searching for a pulse. Finally, he found one. It was weak, but getting stronger. She stirred, tossing her head from side to side until she slowly opened her eyes. "Darien?" she asked uncertainly. "I'm here Serena. Go to sleep. I'll take care of everything." He said smiling with relief. "I love you too." She murmured before falling back to a dreamless sleep. Darien lifted her in his arms again and kissed her forehead before he started to walk away into the sunrise, headed for Serena's house. Once inside Serena's house he tip toed upstairs to her room and lay her down on the bed. Then he tapped her broach, watching amazidly as the ribbons detached themselves from her and into her broach, leaving her in her bunny pajamas. He covered her with the sheets and slipped out the window into the night. Ikluko Tsukino watched in shock from her hiding spot in the shadows. She had planed to catch Serena sneaking in from a date or something, but instead she had seen a miracle. Tuxedo Mask had slipped silently into the room carrying the super hero Sailor Moon in his arms. He had put her in the bed and tapped something on her bow. Ikluko had almost fainted when the ribbons of light detached themselves from her to reveal a sleeping Serena in her bunny pajamas. Then the masked man had left by the window. Ikluko got up and walked over to her slumbering daughter. Resting on top of her pajamas was her broach and a single red rose. "Serena?" she whispered to the early morning air. THE END @}----} (Author laughs evilly) Left you hanging huh? Well stay tuned next week for the epilogue of SCD where everything is explained, and something really cute happens. Ever wonder just how rich Darien's inheritance really made him? Pretty darned rich! (according to the epilouge that is) but that's not important. The real important part is mentioned as a footnote at the end of the epilouge, which leads into STAR CROSSED MEMORIES!!!
