Title: Moon Trilogy Chapter: Eight Rating: PG “And how often do you find a turban in your closet?” Michael asked, looking at the fabric Darien handed to him. Darien closed the closet door, and shrugged. “I don’t know. It just looked interesting to me. You could use it as a disguise for your powers when Sailor Moon is in trouble. Just like I do as Tuxedo Mask.” Michael looked at the white cloth and sighed. He tried it on over his clothes, and it fit perfectly. He looked at the mirror and pulled up the small cloth that covered his mouth. “Perfect! Now you gotta think of something to call yourself!” Michael sighed again and looked himself over. It would have to be a creative name; something that sounded like the Sailor Scouts. Something that Katherine would like..... “I know.” Darien looked at him, and raised an eyebrow. Michael smiled. “The Moonlight Knight.” Evil stalked an alley that day. Adrian stood on one of the raised platform fire escapes, arms crossed and eyes covered with gold framed sunglasses. They fit nicely behind her ears. Not curving around her ears like normal sunglasses, but continuing their stretch and forming around her head, about an inch or so behind her ears. Bangs flapped around her head, and she sighed. “{So this is modern-day Tokyo. People unaware that this will soon be a Kingdom that will have a King and Queen that will rule the Earth. Heh, not if I can help it.}” She leaned forward and fell off the platform, landing smoothly on the ground, not with an inch of pain. Her black trench coat flowed behind her. Putting her hands in her pockets, she walked into the city... Tokyo hummed, as it always did at rush hour, and people were rushing to get to their homes as quickly as possible. But Lita took her time. She was happy. She was walking down Cherry Hill Lane that went out of Raye’s temple, getting out of a Scout meeting. Instead of business, they had fun, played jokes, and had a party. Until someone-was it Luna?-had brought up Katherine did the party come to a stop. And she hadn’t realized she had stopped until someone bumped into her. “Lita?” “Oh, hi Ken. What’s up?” Ken smiled, his green eyes flashing. “Oh, nothing much. Just out for a little walk. Not a good time to do it though. Traffic is terrible at this time.” “That’s true. I could hardly cross the street with all the cars passing by. It’s a miracle that we have crosswalks.” Ken laughed. “Yeah, that’s for sure. Say, I was just going to the Arcade or somewhere to get something to eat. Would you like to come?” She smiled. “Yeah, sure. I was getting hungry anyway.” Ken offered his arm, and she took it smiling. “Such a gentleman.” she laughed, speaking in a British accent. “I must escort the fair maiden to the place in which we are going to eat.” he replied in the same voice. She laughed and snuggled deeper into her coat. Looking ahead, her eyes spotted a figure walking toward them, totally in black with sunglasses. Her hair was pulled back into a perfect ponytail, and she must have been a little taller than herself, like Katherine.. Katherine...?! Could it really...? The person passed by them, her coat brushing against the fabric of Lita’s. And as she walked away, Lita got a sudden burst of courage. “Excuse me miss.” The person turned her head to look at Lita through covered eyes. “Yes?” Lita folded her hands in front of her. “Well, this may sound a little stupid, but, could I see your eyes? Some friends of mine have been looking for a person with brown hair and brown eyes...so...” The person turned around completely and removed her hands from her pockets. She reached up and pulled off the sunglasses. Lita’s green eyes met blue. “Sorry. But I have had blue eyes all my life. Looks like the person you are looking for.” she gave a smile. “Oh, okay. Thanks for letting me see though.” Lita turned around and continued walking with Ken, trying to ignore him asking her who the person was. Adrian put on her sunglasses again, changing the color from the blue to her natural brown. Putting her right hand into her pocket, she closed her hand around the gun that was in her pocket, her index finger closing around the trigger. “{I could end her life right now and not have to worry about that girl, but I won’t. Too many people to witness my crime.}” And with that thought, Adrian walked down the street. “{But we will meet again, young one. That I promise.}” “Jedite used the power of energy. Nephlite used the stars. Humph, that’s stupid. Zoicite used the power of a crystal to find the Crystal Carriers. And Malachite....well, Malachite didn’t really do anything. Prince Endymion did the exact same thing that Zoicite did. And what do they all have in common? They never had a real strategy.” Adrian groaned, throwing the papers on her small table. “If only they had learned from each others mistakes, they may have gotten somewhere. All they did was try to win Beryl’s favor. And that’s almost sick..” She looked around the room in her frustration, and spotted a bar that she always trained on. She got up, and ran to it, making a leap and she grabbed hold of it. She had done this so many times, she had gotten used to the pain of callouses and pressure so much, that she casually swung herself up and did a handstand on the bar. She did that for a while, them lifted a hand. She looked at the wall, and closed her eyes. The Sailor Scouts where her target, and their everyday identities where unknown. She smiled. Of course they where. It was rumored that Prince Endymion knew the identity of Sailor Moon. If Beryl had known that, maybe she wouldn’t have brainwashed him so hard. They had twice as much trouble anyway, with the constant bickering that Malachite and Endymion had between each other. Always trying to be the best. And Nephlite! Hah! What a nuisance! And after all his ‘hard’ work, he fell into ‘the arms of love’. Bah, love. Love doesn’t exist. That was another thing. What was it with humans? Thinking that ‘love conquers all’ is just an excuse to get to the person whom you believe is ‘the one’ to fall in love with you. And when that happens, they could get married. Then start a family. Her eyes popped open. How did she know so much about love?? Then her attention turned back to that guy-what was his name? Michael?- that she had read about. He seemed to have some sort of connection with the Scouts. He was always listening on their conversations... And her head jerked. That’s it!! She did a back flip off the bar and ran to the computer. “Computer, get me Amatite.” Michael was at a restaurant, eating a complex rice meal that was one of his favorites, when he felt something. He couldn’t corner it. It was in the room, but he didn’t know where. He could feel it, but it was almost as if it was watching him. He tried to corner it out in the room, but he still couldn’t tell where it was. He was about to look around the room when the seat under him dropped. He fell down a long shaft and fell in a chair, hitting his head on the table. When he looked up, he could see a cream colored room. “Nice of you to drop in.” His head darted to the side, and he noted a figure in black standing over a table. A familiar pony-tailed figure was moving he/she/it’s arms around, as if working on something. The person turned around and faced Michael. He had her attention. “{Katherine...}” “I am Adrian Williams of the Black Moon Kingdom. And I have brought you here to ask something of you,” she sat down in a chair next to him and tapped one of the glasses with a finger. “We have found out that you are somehow in association with our enemies, a group of people that call themselves the Sailor Scouts. They have been destroying many creatures over the years and have caused many deaths. It has come to my conclusion that you know the location of these Scouts. And this is where we need your help. If you where to tell us the location of these Scouts, we could send a wanted enemy to death. A judgement they truly deserve.” Michael stood in shock at what she had just asked him to do. And at how evil she could be. At this state, his face was that of sorrow. “{What happened to you Katherine?}”
