Moon Trilogy- Book one Chapter: Three Email: gundamzerosix@hotmail.com Notes: A few weeks later. Michael has been ‘pursuing’ Katherine. Of course, she hates it, because she hates him. She knows everything about the Sailor Scouts, including Tuxedo Masks’ brainwashing. Like you just read in the last chapter. “So she faints??” Katherine could hardly hold her laughter. The thought of Serena fainting because she didn’t get any food was just too much. She had tears coming out of her eyes right now, thinking of her well-known friend, Serena, doing just that. “How could I help it? I hadn’t eaten all day!” That just made her laugh even harder. She stroked a tear away from her eyes, and looked at Serena who was ‘humph’ing at her. She laughed again. “You never fail to surprise me, Serena.” “Yeah, sure.” “No, really. Tell me how you can eat all this food, and then not gain half an ounce!” Serena smirked. “I run to school every morning.” The group of Sailor Scouts nodded. Good answer. “All right,” Katherine said, leaning an arm on the table “if you can answer that well, tell me. What was with you and Darien one thousand years ago?” Serena lowered her head, tears brimming in her eyelids. “I...don’t know.” Katherine flinched slightly. Wrong thing to say. “Sorry, Serena.” "That's okay, you didn't know." The team sat in silence for a moment, before Raye broke it. "How on Earth are we going to get him back anyway?" "It won't be that easy, Raye. He was completely brainwashed. You've got to remember that." Amy said, looking at her friend from the end of the booth. "Yeah, and beating that Negacreep Malachite won't be any easier. Now that he's got Darien on his side." Lita added. "So what's our source of strategy here? We've got to have strategy." Katherine said, putting her head on her folded hands. "I think we should go after Malachite first. I mean, with him gone, we would have an advantage against Darien." Mina said, smacking a fist against her palm. "But then we would have to face Beryl right afterwards. Not a very good advantage." Raye said, sighing. The Scouts slumped in their chairs. Okay, now what could they do? Serena sighed. "If only there was a way..." She took out her star locket and flipped open the cover, watching the small crescent moon circle around the middle, the soft tune filling everyone's ears. "To get our minds off of this, can I ask you guys something?" Lita, Mina, Amy, Raye, and Serena's head turned to Katherine who was looking at everybody. "Do you guys know who Michael Williams is?" "That new exchange student at the college?" Amy asked. "Yeah, him." "That guy is a total hunk!" Mina said, bugging her eyes out. "Oh, Jeez! Spare me!" Katherine half yelled. "He keeps following me around everywhere. It gets very annoying after a while." "Are you kidding me?? Any girl would kill for a guy like Michael Williams to follow them!" Lita said, her eyes also bugging out. "Yeah, any girl with no right mind." "Hey, you should consider yourself lucky! I want him to follow me." Mina said, staring off into space for a while. "You guys make me sick. He has got to be one of the most annoying people on the face of the Earth today!" Katherine said, putting a finger of the table. "And you've got to be one of the sweetest." Katherine's shoulders sagged. And she turned her eyeballs to look at the man with his arms on the table, giving her a loving look. "You're very beautiful when you are angry." he said with a smirk. "And you're a jerk when you try to be nice to me." Katherine said with mock-happiness. "Oh, c'mon, Katherine. Give me a chance. Please??" She felt no pity when he got down on two legs, and gave her a puppy look. "Don't even try, jerk.." Michael stood up and brushed off his pants. "Fine." He said in a simple manner, then, he put his lips near her ear. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop following you." She instantly went to a fuming red. He smiled at her, and kissed her cheek before walking out the door into the fall afternoon. "By the way, Serena. Nice locket." The five Scouts looked at the door, mouths hanging open, before looking at Katherine, whose eyes were wide open. She looked at each of them with anger. "Did he just kiss me?" Lita sighed. "You are so lucky." Prince Endymion stood near the throne room of Queen Beryl that afternoon, thinking about the latest Sailor Scout that had just joined the team. Sailor Solar, as they called her, was a powerful addition to the team. He watched with anger as her Solar Death Cannon paralyzed yet another monster of his own creation. She placed two arms crossing each other just below her eyes, before putting am arm in the air with two fingers extended, saying "Solar Death Cannon charge!!" She would then wait for about thirty seconds, before launching the attack, and giving another point to the Sailor Scouts. He shook his head slightly, brushing away some black bangs, before Malachite appeared before him. "You haven't made any progress, Endymion." he said in a rough voice. "Because I have been studying the attacks of this new Sailor Scout, Malachite. Something you fail to do." Malachite sneered at the warrior with his back to him. He always seemed to be one step ahead of him somehow. "I enjoy the direct approach. Shocking them with our cunning minds..." "You could never have a cunning mind with ideas like the ones you have had a while ago. Did you really think that Misha and Jenelle would be able to get the Silver Crystal, kill Sailor Moon, and me at the same time?" "You haven't had pretty amazing ideas, yourself. What about the monster at the lake?" "Yet I don't make it my obsession to get rid of them. Look at where it got Zoicite when she carelessly looked for the seven rainbow crystal carriers." Malachite growled. "If you ever remind me of her death again I'll kill you." "But then Beryl will have you killed too. Either way, you loose." In a rage, Malachite disappeared from Endymions view. Endymion chuckled for a moment, before turning his view back to the battle the day before. He chewed his lip. There were now too many Sailor Scouts to face alone. He looked at the crystal in the palm of his hand. Then, he grinned a wicked grin, and went to Queen Beryl. "What would happen if all the seven Rainbow Crystal carriers were to gather together, m'queen?" Endymion asked Beryl, bowing slightly before her throne. "The Seven Shadow warriors would ignite together to form the Invincible Shadow, the strongest warrior of the Negaverse. Why do you ask?" "The idea occurred to me that if I was able to capture the carriers, we could get ride of Sailor Moon much easier. What do you think?" "Perfect. Go immediately." At the end of the corner, Michael stopped and leaned against the wall. "{You idiot!!}" his mind screamed at him "{You just kissed her! IN PUBLIC!!!}" "Well," he muttered "I kinda liked it..." "{That isn't the point!!}" his mind said again. "{She could officially think you are the most horrible person in the world!}" "That wouldn't do much. She already does." He put a hand to his head. "It's not that she is the most stunning woman in Tokyo. Well, by my eyes she is, but she is also very nice to people she likes." People she liked. How much he longed to be one of those people. "Did you like it?" "No." "Do you want him to do it again?" "NO." "Do you want him to ask you out??" "Shut up, Mina." Katherine said, glaring at the woman sitting next to her. "Tell me," Raye asked, holding up a pretend microphone. "How does it feel to be the only person that Michael Williams has ever kissed besides his mother?" "Pretty lousy." she answered bluntly. "Oh, come on Katherine! Give us details!" Serena said, wining. "He puckers his lips too much, and he leaves a spit mark when he is done. What do you guys think??" She asked, showing her palms. "I think you liked it." Amy said, much to everybody surprise. "I didn't! Would you guys leave me alone??" "Come one! Please??" Lita asked. Katherine rolled her eyes. "You guys need some boyfriends. Fast. I'm going to lose my mind when something like this happens to me again." "Ah HAH! So you ARE expecting him to kiss you again!" Serena said suddenly. "NO! I didn't mean it like that!!" "The secrets out!! Katherine likes Michael!!" "Shut up! I do not!!" The soft tune of the Star Locket filled the bedroom late that night. Serena looked at it, memories flooding back into her head of Darien, the only man she found out she really loved. He was now 'the strongest warrior of the Negaverse' (or so he called himself), and she had no clue whatsoever how to get him back. Out of no where, her communicator beeped, throwing any thought she had right into the trash. "Serena here. What's up?" Katherine’s head appeared on the screen. "Serena, quick! We need Sailor Moon at 10 Ban Land Fairgrounds! Prince Endymion is confronting Sailor Mercury!" "Mercury Bubbles BLAST!" Prince Endymion dodged the bubbles and smiled at Mercury. "Is that the best you've got?" Mercury panted, looking at the evil warrior as she did so. He was so strong, but maybe if she could get... "Mercury, its me, Solar. Don't get him moving from that spot for at least thirty seconds. I will charge my cannon, and paralyze him until Sailor Moon shows up." Mercury slightly nodded her head, and listened as Sailor Solar whispered "Solar Death Cannon charge..." Endymion stood, tilting his head a little, and watching Mercury. She was obviously thinking of some way to get him, that he could tell. So he stood there, and waited for the attack. Right where Sailor Solar wanted him. The thirty seconds passed, and Sailor Solar saw Sailor Moon and Jupiter running down the path. “{Perfect timing.}” “SOLAR DEATH CANNON DESTROY!” Prince Endymion, now Tuxedo Mask, was blown back from the hit, and paralyzed on the spot. His eyes were open in worry as he looked at Sailor Solar, now jumping from the back bushed, and ginning at him. “Now Sailor Moon!” Mercury said, looking at the two runners from behind his back. “Wait! Mercury! Get the crystal!” Solar cried, pointing at the crystal that was dangling in the palm of Tuxedo Masks’ hand. Mercury took it, and threw it to the ground. “Go for it!” “Moon Healing Activation!!” The four Scouts watched in happiness as the memories flooded back into his mind. He de-transformed into the clothes he wore earlier that day, and fell to the ground. “Alright!” Jupiter said, shaking a fist in the air. “Good job, Sailor Moon.” Solar said, putting a hand on her shoulder, and catching her when she fell. “She will be alright.” Luna said. “She just used a little too much energy. A little rest is all she needs.” The team looked at Darien, lying face flat on the ground. But they suddenly worried when black energy came around him, and took him back to the Negaverse. “No!” Mercury said. “We got to close that time!” exclaimed Jupiter, punching a fist in her hand. “And I was looking forward to meeting the guy.” Solar said, sighing. “At least we had him back for a while.” Luna said, rubbing against Sailor Moon’s face to wake her up. Sailor Moon opened her eyes and looked for Darien, but couldn’t find his body. She looked up, and saw Sailor Solar smiling at her. “You ok?” “Yeah, but where is Darien?” Katherine sighed. “They took him back.” Serena’s eyes popped open. “Back?? To the Negaverse??” Katherine nodded her head. “I’m going to faint again.” And she did. Katherine caught her limp body, and held her up. “Will she be okay?” Jupiter asked, leaning over Solars shoulder. “Like Luna said. All she needed was rest.” Mercury said with a sigh. “Well, we had better get her home. You guys make sure the Crystal Carriers get home. I’ll take care of Serena.” Katherine said, flinging Serena over her shoulder. “Gosh. For a Princess, you sure are heavy.” Katherine whispered. “Don’t even start.” Serena half-mumbled, getting off of Katherine’s shoulder, and standing up, holding her head. “Can you make it from here?” Katherine asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Yeah. Thanks.” Katherine nodded her head, and turned the other direction, near Dariens apartment. Serena was about the go, when she heard Katherine call her name. She turned to her, and raised her eyebrows. “I’m sorry we didn’t get Darien back.” Serena smiled. “That’s alright. At least we had him for a moment.” “I’ll see you at the Arcade?” “You bet.” And so they went their ways, one a great warrior of the moon, determined to get her love back, and the other, a lost soul dreaming for more than what she has.
