Ohayo fellow otaku's! Otaku means devoted anime fan, cool, ne? Anyway, I'm sure you've noticed that I have completed the prologue of Final Awakenings: Past Vengeance. I so happy! A few notes. 1) I am using dub everything. Except the royalty's names, those are not dubbed cause it sounded really stupid when the girls would say "Darien!" and Prince Darien would say something like, "Darien? Never heard that name, my name is Prince Darien!" I can see how he could get confused. It's really stupid so it's Serenity and Endymion, kay? 2) The dubbers seemed to have a hard time deciding on whether it was "Uranus Star Power" or "Uranus Planet Power," so I'm sticking with Planet Power for the Outers transformations. 3) They also couldn't decide if it was "Neptune Deep Submerge" or just "Deep Submerge" so I'm using the latter, Japanese, for all powers. 4) Pluto's attack sucks. It's "Dead Scream" and she's whispering it like she's supposed to. 5) If you have not read the original part of this story "Final Awakenings" then I suggest you do. Or mail me and ask for a brief description, kay? Quote of the Week: "But all God's angels come to us disguised..." -James Russell Lowell FINAL AWAKENINGS: PAST VENGEANCE SEQUEL TO "FINAL AWAKENINGS" PROLOGUE __________Beginning of a New Mission__________ ~1996 AD~ "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Rose! Happy birthday to you!!" The song finished and rose looked at her birthday cake. It was lit up by eighteen candles that showed her age. Taking a deep breath, Rose blew each of the candles out and made her wish. 'Only for us to stay like this...forever!' ******************************************************************* Her black hair swayed in the invisible wind as she watched the Earth Princess blow out her birthday cake candles. "Those damn brats...living like that after what they have done." "My Princess," a deep voice interrupted. The woman turned around in her chair and saw her most loyal servant kneeling before her. His green hair reflected in the little light the cavern had to offer as he smiled evilly, his light green eyes flashing. "You called me, Mistress Opal?" Opal stood and walked to a table where a house of cards stood proudly. "Tell me, Chlorite, if I were to take a card from the top of this pile, what would happen?" she asked as she pulled the top card from the stack. Chlorite stood with his hands behind his back. "Nothing happens, Mistress." She smiled curtly, "Correct. But if I would take one from the middle of the pile..." Opal reached for a card in the center and watched as the top half of the card castle collapsed on itself. "Only half of it goes down. But..." she plucked one of the bottom cards and watched as the entire house fell on itself, "when you take out the foundation of the house, everything is gone." Chlorite nodded and furrowed his brow in confusion. "I don't see what you're getting at, Highness..." he trailed off. She turned her angry, colorless eyes toward him. "There is only one way to get rid of those thorns! IN THE PAST!" ******************************************************************* Rose sighed as she crashed onto the couch. It had been her eighteenth birthday and she was wiped out. The only people still over were Serena and Tim. And Darien, of course. Rose allowed her mind to drift for a moment. The party had been a surprise on Serena's part, who was a little sore about being the youngest of all the girls. Her birthday wasn't for another month and a half. Other thoughts came across her mind, namely her wish when she blew out the candles, and she furrowed her brow. "Four months." The other three who were in the apartment looked up in confusion. "Four months for what, Rose?" Tim asked as he sat down on the couch next to her. Rose looked at her boyfriend's face and smiled slightly. "There haven't been any attacks for four months...I wonder if that's a good thing or bad thing." Serena and Darien exchanged looks. "It can be either. But we went nearly three years with out having many attacks before," Darien explained. "Let's just hope that there's nothing more until Crystal Tokyo," Serena murmured as Darien sat on the couch and she sat on his lap. "It's great to be at peace!" "I know..." Rose trailed off. "But sometimes, I just have this urge to fight. I suppose it's in my blood, huh?" She sighed and leaned forward. "I just have this feeling that that battle wasn't the last and the peace will end soon." "You shouldn't think like that, Rose!" Tim exclaimed. Rose turned her head and looked out the window. 'I know that...but another wave is approaching.' She caught sight of two skirts moving in a gentle breeze outside. 'Uranus and Neptune...could they know it too?' ******************************************************************* Sailor Uranus shook her head, her short blonde hair falling in her eyes as she watched her Prince and Princess through the glass. "She's right, you know," she said to herself. "It's too quiet. Normally even a few youmas would have escaped the other dimensions and come to attack." Neptune looked inside the room once again and smiled at her Princess and Prince. "But we can hope, right?" she asked. "If nothing else than for them, we can hope that it's gone." Her blue eyes shone up at Uranus who smiled tenderaly at her. ******************************************************************* Princess Opal looked at her four Generals who kneeled before her. Each of them had their own distinguishing features, but they all wore the same white pressed uniform. "You have all been briefed on this mission, am I correct." "Yes, ma'am," they coursed at once. "Good. I need one of you to stay behind in the twentieth to make sure the Sailor Soldiers don't follow us," she told the group as she sat down in her throne. Chlorite spoke up, "So you want one of us to make it look like there is an attack on this earth?" "YES!" Opal snapped. She regained her composure and settled down. "Who is going to stay back? I'm giving you a choice in this. Either way, you will be greatly rewarded for your services." A shorter man with light blue hair and dark blue eyes stood up and stepped forward. "Princess...please allow me to stay in this time and take care of the Soldiers!" Opal glanced her soldier up and down before nodding curtly. "You are up to this task, Topaz?" "I am ready for any challenge that you wish me to go up against, My Princess," Topaz addressed her. "Good." ******************************************************************* Serena stretched her arms over her head and yawned. "It's great to not be late to school every day," she whispered to herself as she waited for Darien to arrive, as he always did. She watched as a familiar red sports car drove up next to her and she grinned. Darien smiled back and leaned over to open the door for her. "Good morning, Serena," he greeted. Serena leaned over and kissed him before turning to Rose, who was in the back seat. "Hey ya, Rose! Whatcha doing after school today? Lita and I are going to the new bakery down town and she wanted to know if you could come?" "Sure! Hey, did you hear what happened to John the other day?" Rose asked. Darien shook his head as the two girls began to gossip while he concentrated on driving. They were about half way to school when Darien slammed on the breaks, causing the girls to go flying forward slightly, luckily they had their seatbelts on. "What the hell was that for?!" Rose yelled at her brother. Darien covered her mouth and pointed across the street. Serena and Rose groaned when they saw what was in front of them. A man. A man shooting energy blasts at innocent pedestrians. "Crap..." Rose muttered as she pulled out her communicator. "I really do hate it when I'm right! Everyone! It's the good vs. the ugly again! We're on Third Street right now, please hurry!" she called in to the watch like device. The trio grabbed each other's hands and ran from the car, attempting to not be seen by the man. With reluctant sighs and groans, they grabbed a hold of their transformation items and held them in the air. Darien held up a rose. "EARTH COSMIC POWER!" "MOON CELESTIAL POWER!" ******************************************************************* Topaz smirked as he used his power to blow up another one of those wretched things humans called "cars." 'When are they going to show up?' he thought in a bored monotone. "HOLD IT!" a voice called out from below him. 'About time!' Topaz growled. He turned around and faced three soldiers. There was the man, obviously Tuxedo Mask, with a tuxedo on. One of the girls had green and blue colors for her Sailor Suit and the middle one wore blue and pink. 'Earth, Moon and Cape Boy. Less than I thought.' He attempted to look surprised, as he was not to let them know he knew more about them than they would ever think. "Who are you?!" he demanded. "An agent of love and justice! Pretty girl soldier in a sailor suit, Sailor Moon!" She turned and began her poses. "In the name in of the moon, I'll punish you!" Topaz rolled his eyes. "Pathetic!" he yelled, launching blue fireballs at them. One of them caught the tail end of Sailor Earth's braid, causing her to gasp in surprise. "Oh, that's it!" Earth cried as she grabbed the Terra Staff from her dimensional pocket. "EARTH TSUNAMI SPLASH!" The raging waters headed towards Topaz but never reached him. He teleported out of the way and behind Sailor Earth. Before any of the three Soldiers could react, Topaz had grabbed her in a headlock. "I don't suggest either of you move!" he instructed the two remaining fighters. "Put her down!" Tuxedo Mask told him. Topaz only laughed. "It's going to take a lot more than that," he tightened his hold on Earth, "Cape Boy. I don't give in like your other enemies did." "WORLD SHAKING!" (AN: Is it me, or is that attack *always* coming in to save them?!) A glowing ball of yellow energy ripped through the air and hit Topaz's side. He grunted in pain and let go of his pray. Rose petals blew in the wind and Topaz turned to see three silhouettes in the distance. "My guardian deity is a planet far up in the sky. The soldier of the sky, Sailor Uranus!" "My guardian deity is a planet with the sea of sand. The soldier of embrace Sailor Neptune!" "My guardian deity is the planet of silence, the soldier of death and rebirth, Sailor Saturn!" "We soldier of the outer solar system are being led by a new crisis and, here we are!" they said together. The three Outer Soldiers bounded to where Sailor Moon and the others were. "You okay?" Saturn asked Earth, her purple eyes filled with concern and hate at the same time. And combination that almost made shivers run up Earth's spine, had she not been used to that look. "Fine!" she coughed out while holding her throat. Sailor Uranus brought out the Space Sword and held it at level with the man across from them. "Who are you?!" Before Topaz could open his mouth, the clicking of four more pairs of shoes was heard and the four Inner Soldiers joined their allies. "Hmm...we can't seem to relax for very long in this world, can we?" Mars asked as she sized the man up. "My name is Topaz." A blue light surrounded him as he began to fade away. His Princess's message just reached him. He didn't need to stay any longer. Come back yes, but he could do that later. "And expect to see more of me, Sailor Soldiers!" He finished fading out and each of the warriors let out a sigh. Of relief or anger, they weren't sure. "Oh no," Neptune murmured silently. "Meeting, temple, after school," was all Sailor Moon said before she detransformed and ran for the car. "In the mean time, we're all going to be late!!" Several screams came from the girls' mouths as they ran to the newly detransformed Darien, and began begging him for a ride. ******************************************************************* ~992 AD~ She gasped in surprise as she felt it. Turning to her partner, and exchanging glances, she knew that she was feeling it too. The awakening. The beginning of the end. "We need to go to her!" her partner exclaimed as pushed back the chair she was sitting on. ******************************************************************* Dark. Blackness. One could mistake the silence she lived in for death. It was dark and desolate, no place for any person to be. Unfeeling. In her sleep, she stirred, something that had never happened before. And yet, somehow, the darkness that she slept in was nothing compared to the darkness in her soul. It was a constant battle for her, even in sleep. No one was quite sure if she was an angel or a demon from hell, not even herself. In her life, she had one mission, and one mission only. It was because of that mission that she was condemned to this trance...by her own choice. It wasn't her queen who had put her here, but herself and her own fear of what she might do if her powers were to go out of control or if that demon were to take over. She didn't want to be the cause of the destruction of a planet. Even if she were to die afterwards, like she was supposed to, she would still die with the guilt of killing thousands of innocent lives. That was probably why she was fighting her awakening. "If I awake..." her voice echoed in the emptiness of space that surrounded her psyche, "I must destroy. If I sleep...the evil that is causing my awakening will win..." Then she heard a voice. A very familiar voice. Her own voice, was what answered her back, "But this time you do not have to." "What?" "You are to help save this world with out using your powers of destruction," the voice explained. The other seemed to look up in confusion, and her voice was filled with that emotion. "I can?" "Yes...now awaken!" ******************************************************************* Purple eyes blinked awake ever so slowly. She was slowly becoming aware of her surroundings. It hadn't been touched since she had put herself into that cursed darkness. As she sat up, her senses picked up the presence of two other people. Turning towards the door, she could clearly see their outlined figures. Power was glowing in their hands, and as she stood up, their hands followed her. Studying them for a moment she knew, but didn't know at the same time, what she was up against. "You are not Queen Celeste nor Queen Marisa, and yet you wear their uniforms," she spoke softly, brushing her violet hair from her eyes. The one wearing the Sailor Uniform of Uranus let go of her power and it faded into nothing. "I am Amara, daughter of Queen Celeste, Sailor of Uranus." The other, wearing the Sailor Uniform of Neptune, also let go of her power, causing to fade. "I am Michelle, daughter of Queen Marisa, Sailor of Neptune." "Then have all the Queens given birth to children?" she asked. A nod was the response she got from them. "How long have I been in this sleep?" she asked. "Sixteen years," Sailor Uranus answered slowly. "You induced your sleep when you were only two and now, you are eighteen, like us," she explained. "You are here to kill me," the girl stated with no emotion. "You will bring down the Silver Millennium, we must do our duty to protect it," Sailor Neptune said with only slight regret in her voice. "And my mother?" she asked, remembering the woman who had given birth to her like yesterday. Sailor Uranus sighed. "She died ten years ago of natural causes. She never did figure out why you were a Solider of Destruction." Her feet came into contact with cold ground. "No one ever will." She stood slowly and pulled her transformation pen from her dimensional pocket. "But I have a job to do." "SATURN PLANET POWER!" In seconds, the girl transformed herself into Sailor Saturn, the Soldier of Destruction. Uranus swore and pulled out a jeweled sword. "I knew you were here to destroy our peace! You are a curse!" Neptune shook her head sadly. "To think, one of our own will attempt to destroy the peace." "SPACE SWORD BLASTER!" "DEEP SUBMERGE!" Sailor Saturn sighed and held her Glave before her. "SILENT WALL!" Both of the attacks were repelled by Sailor Saturn's shield and the Outers look at her in shock. "Please listen to me, Princess's," Saturn spoke quietly. "I am not here to destroy the Silver Millennium. I am here with a message for Queen Serenity." She took a deep breath and continued. "A message that someone is on their way to destroy our peace. I am here to help you stop it." Uranus and Neptune gasped in surprise and looked at each other, then at the Silence Soldier. "I speak the truth. Now...please take me to Queen Serenity!" ******************************************************************* ~2992 AD~ They crept silently down the hallway, careful not to wake anyone up. It was just before dawn in the Crystal Palace and the children had to be careful. Their parents were very light sleepers. Well...at least their father was. "Are you sure they aren't going to be mad?" Rini whispered as she clutched a young boy's shirt from behind. The boy turned and slightly glared his blue eyes at her. "You've run off before...besides, I want to meet mom and dad when they're younger." "But, Alec, why do I need to be here?" Rini whispered again. Alec frowned and turned to his younger sister. "Because, you're the one who can get us past Pluto!" he hissed as they came to the Door to the Fourth Dimension that was in the Crystal Palace. Slowly, the two children pushed the door open and let it shut behind them, thinking no one to be the wiser. Not ten feet away, Neo-Queen Serenity and her husband, King Endymion, stepped out of their hiding places. "Small Lady just came back...and Alec has never been to the twentieth century." Serenity closed her eyes and let two tears slip down her cheeks. Endymion wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead softly. Neither of them remembered much of what happened to their children when they went back this time, but they knew that something would happen. "We had no choice but to let them go, Serene," Endymion murmured to her softly while stroking her hair. "They need training and we all know that a battle is the only way to train." Serenity nodded slightly, not stopping her tears, and held her husband close. The two stood there for a long while, simply holding each other, and taking comfort in the other's presence. To be continued... Hmm...so what was all that stuff about Sailor Saturn awakening and Queen Serenity? Guess you just have to wait and see! And who is Alec? *rolls eyes* Yeah, bet you didn't know that! Oy. Kinda obvious, like Rose! This story is not going to revolve around Sailor Saturn, just so you know. I just needed to awaken her from her sleep. In the manga, Sailor Saturn slept during the Silver Millennium so that she wouldn't destroy anything. When she awakened during the battle with Metalia, she destroyed what was left of the Silver Millennium. Least that's what I've read. Ja ne!
