Quote of the Week: "A coward will experience death many times in their life, where as the valiant will experience it only once." - William Shakespeare FINAL AWAKENINGS: PAST VENGEANCE CHAPTER 7 __________Prelude to Dusk__________ "Are you sure you want to go, dear? It's awfully dangerous up there right now. I don't need both of you to be there in this war right now!" a man said as he handed a girl with long hair a bag and a cat. "Father, don't worry. I'll be back soon," the girl insisted as she, literally, threw the cat over her shoulder and listen to it scream. Giggling slightly at the cursing coming from behind her, she hugged her father and then her mother who was standing beside her father. "We haven't gotten any communications from him in a while, I want to make sure he's okay and not having...TOO much fun there." Before her parents could say another word, the girl ran forward and disappeared. ***************************************************************** The guard mumbled something in his sleep and turned his head. He didn't care if he slept, there was nothing going on at the Teleport Station anyway. After all, with the war, people weren't coming to visit and no one was calling on his services for that. A shriek alert was what awoke him, however and he jerked awake and gasped when he saw the doors to the Teleporter open up and out stepped a girl. Recognizing her immediately, the guard panicked. As quick as he could, he hit the button next to his palm and waited for the other line to pick up. "Your Majesty," he addressed the Queen on the other end, "we seem to have a visitor." ***************************************************************** Endymion clashed swords with his opponent and gritted his teeth as he was pushed back and almost out of the circle that decided who was out. Darien smiled a little and then frowned when Endymion stayed inside. He had almost had him. Endymion and Darien were sword fighting inside of a white circle in the Sailor Soldiers training area. They had made the agreement that the first man to push the other out would win. Of course, each had thought that this would be a simple five-minute task that they could do while the girls were resting from their own training. Darien didn't know where the snacks and popcorn the girls were munching on came from, but they had been going at it for an awfully long time. Uranus reached for another handful of popcorn and shoved it into her mouth. "They're very evenly matched...I'm quite surprised, actually." "Darien's giving him a run for the mill!" Venus giggled. "Run for his money!" half the girls snapped at Venus, who blinked. Serenity leaned forward and smiled as she watched Endymion. "He's so handsome..." she whispered to herself, catching the others attention. Jupiter giggled and elbowed her Princess. "Say it louder. If he hears you, he'll slip up and Darien will win!" Flushing, Serenity turned to her friend. "I said that out loud?!" Neptune giggled at her Princess and her new found, she could almost call them, friends. It had been an interesting few weeks, but she couldn't say she hadn't been enjoying herself, because she had. It was fun to watch her Princess and the Inner Soldiers bicker and tease each other, though the Princess was usually on the other side of the teasing. Looking back to the two men, Neptune caught sight of someone in the shadows. Her senses became alert as she watched the person. It was obviously a woman, and she was smiling. The woman in the shadows reached out of the shadows and slowly took a sword off of the wall and brought it into a fighting stance. Just as she prepared to jump, Neptune stood. "PRINCE! DARIEN! LOOK OUT!" she all by screamed as the woman leapt from the shadows and broke up the fight between Darien and Endymion. "ENDY!" Serenity all but screamed. The Soldiers stood and prepared to fight, before the Inners suddenly burst out into laughter, clutching their stomachs. They grabbed the Outers arms, and stopped them from moving, despite their protests. Endymion dodged every attack that his female opponent dished out. She was good, and Endymion had to smile at that as he began to clash his sword with hers. "Why are we standing here?!" Uranus demanded as she struggled. Jupiter laughed. "Come on, look at what she's dressed in!" The girl spun around and jumped up, dodging the sword blade that came for her. With a quick turn, she pushed the flat edge of the sword up to Endymion's chest and kicked his feet out from unnder him. His sword flew up, she caught it then put both of them to his throat while sitting down sideways on his chest. "I win," she declared with a large smile, brushing her long, black braid out of her face. Endymion frowned at the girl and shook his head. "Go to Hell, Rose." The sound of applause rang through out the room, and Rose stood up and brushed off her green and blue Sailor Suit. "EVERYONE!" she exclaimed as she ran away from her brother and to her friends. "Rose, it's been so long!" "You look great!" "How's the training going?" "Nice job at kicking his butt! He needed it!" "LITA!" The Outers watched as the girl, now obviously Sailor Earth, greeted the Inners with just as much enthusiasm. Uranus watched Endymion get up and curse his sister under his breath, and she decided she liked this new girl. Serenity hugged Earth for a long moment. "Rosie, it's been too long!" she exclaimed as she pulled back "I've missed you too, Serey!" Earth exclaimed as she looked behind her. "Hey, who are they?" she asked as she pointed to Serena and Darien and the Outers. Serenity grabbed her friends' hand and dragged her over to where they were, completely forgetting about Endymion, who had to half limp over to her. "These are new friends of ours, Lady Serena Tsukino and Lord Darien Shields!" Serena and a shocked Darien bowed to her and she smile and bowed in return. "And these three are your fellow Princess's and Warrior's." She pointed to each as she introduced them. "Princess Amara of Uranus, Sailor Uranus. Princess Michelle of Neptune, Sailor Neptune. And Princess Hotaru of Saturn, Sailor Saturn." Startled at first at the introduction of Saturn, she recovered quickly. With a smile, Rose shook all of their hands. "It's a pleasure." "Roselyn!" an angry male voice yelled. Earth grinned wider and turned to her cat guardian, who was accompanied by Queen Serenity, Luna and Artemis. "Terry, so glad you could keep up with me!" She caught sight of her Queen and bowed. "Your Majesty, it is good to see you well. Luna, Artemis," she greeted the two formally. Queen Serenity smiled, happy to see her, most likely, future daughter-in-law was safe. "This is an unexpected visit, Sailor Earth." Earth's eyes darkened and she nodded. "I hear you are having troubles and that the Princess' life is in danger." She went down onto one knee, "I have come to fulfill my duty as a member of Princess Serenity's court, with or with out the consent of the people of Earth." Realizing what it was that Sailor Earth was implying to, Serenity became alarmed. "You mean that none of the people of Earth know you're here? We haven't ratified a treaty and this could cause a rebellion if they think you are swearing loyalty to us!" All eyes were on Sailor Earth as she answered. "My Loyalty is to my Princess and my parents. My loyalties are to no specific planet, but rather to all of them and to the people I love." "What about your brother?" Serena asked. Earth turned to Serena and shrugged in an, 'I dunno,' gesture. Smirking slightly Rose tossed out casually; "Though MOM and DAD want lunkhead here to call and inform them as to WHY you haven't been in touch lately." There was the sound of people not trying to laugh, almost snorting, as Endymion glared at his sister. "I love you too," he muttered as he put an arm around Serenity's waist. ***************************************************************** Amy, once again, closed the lid to yet another communicator. It was hopeless. She had tried every single communication device she had, from a telephone to Luna P, and she was still unable to get in touch with her Prince and Princess. She was on the verge of tears as she pounded her fist onto the table in front of her, startling the other in the room. "What is it, Amy?" Terren asked worriedly as he walked up to the Soldier of Wisdom. Amy clutched her fists and pounded on the table. "I'm sorry...but I can't find anything! NOTHING!" she exclaimed, causing the others to snap into attention and look at their friend in shock. Amara put her hand on Amy's shoulder. "Calm yourself, it could mean anything!" Nodding, Mina looked to her friend. "She's right, Amy. It could be anything, they could have just dropped their communicators or something..." she trailed off when she saw the looks on the other's faces. "How are the children taking it, Rose?" Luna asked as she faced the Terran Princess. Rose shook her head and stood up. "I'm gonna go and get them. They deserve to know this." ***************************************************************** It was late at night before everyone finally settled down. All of the girls, Inners, Outers and other, were in Serenity's room to talk. The Outers had always been invited to join the girls at night, but had never taken them up on the offer. However, the new girl was interesting, and they wanted to learn more about her. They listened to them trading stories and talking about their lives and laughing, even joining it a times. It was after about three hours of conversing, that Mina quieted everyone down. "Okay, okay, we're all happy that Rose is back, but now that she is back, and we have several new friends, it's time to, once again, hear the story of how our Prince and Princess came into their relationship." "NO!" came Serenity's immediate protest as she began to choke on what she was drinking. "Mina, please, ROSE!" Rose just grinned and turned to her newfound friends. "Do you wish to hear the tale?" she asked them. Serena froze for a moment before nodding her head "yes" quickly, so as to not arise suspicion from her friends. "I've always been curious about that, actually," Amara said with a smile. "After all, Prince Endymion wasn't very willing to give me that information the first time I met him." Michelle coughed and turned to Hotaru, who also nodded. Rose grinned and stuck her tongue out at her Princess. "Sorry, but I need to make sure everyone knows this story!" ***************************************************************** (Minna-chan, this is going to be BRIEF! Not really drawn out, but straight to the point 2 page kinda thing, sorry, but I'm only including this cause a few people kept pointing it out to me [Yes, more than just you Kel-chan!] That and its soooo funny to think about!) ~990 AD~ Sailor Earth turned around as the Sailor Soldiers, her new friends and comrades, dragged her away from her family to get to know her better. As she tried to make contact with her brothers' eyes, she noticed that he was staring at the girl next to her, the one in the pure white dress who was laughing and giggling. Her eyes got wide and she smirked, remembering the conversation they had had just a few minutes before they had arrived and she almost laughed out loud. Turning to one of the other girls, Sailor Venus she saw from the color of her skirt, she saw that she had seen the same thing. 'Oh, dear brother of mine, you are being set up.' ****** Serenity shifted in her seat as she felt a gaze lock on her face, for the uncounted time that night. Looking up and around the table, she saw no one staring at her and still wondered who was staring at her with such intensity. As soon as Prince Endymion had landed on the planet she had felt something inside of her stirring, something she had never felt before, and was unsure she would ever feel again if he left. Across the table, Endymion kept his gaze half on the girl sitting across from him and half on the food sitting in front of him. As soon as he had stepped on to her world, the world of the Moon Princess, he had felt something. It was some sort of tug on his heart...no his SOUL, especially when he looked to her. ****** "Princess Roselyn!" a voice hissed outside of Rose's window as she slept. Rose mumbled something and rolled over. "ROSELYN!" the voice called, still in a whisper but much louder this time. "Go...way...Terly, iwavana sleep!" she moaned as she rolled over one more time. "Oh for the sake of..." the figure muttered as she finally jumped into the room and yanked the covers away from the Terran Princess, sending her flying to the ground. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Rose demanded as she was rudely jarred from her sleep, her MUCH NEEDED sleep. Glaring up at the person who pulled her from her dream world, Rose saw Mina standing by her bed, glaring at her with her sheets in her hands. "Mina? What the hell do you want so early in the morning?" "It's ten o'clock!" Mina exclaimed in shock. "It is not early!" Rose rolled her eyes and attempted to fight the girl for her covers. "But I'm TIRED!" she whined. Holding the covers out of her friend's reach, Mina smiled. "Too tired to plan to set your brother up with the Princess and have them live happily ever after?" Slowly letting go of the sheet, an EVIL grin appeared on Rose's lips. ****** Per order of her mother, the Queen, Princess Serenity began to show Prince Endymion of Earth around the Moon Palace and tell him some of the history of what lay inside its walls. Every now and then they would come close to each other and their hands would brush each other's or they would sneak glances, each wondering about the other. After an hour of touring the Palace, Serenity sighed and stopped. "Pardon me, Prince Endymion." Endymion stiffened, thinking she was going to say something about his constant staring at her. "This tour is rather boring, I'm sure, for both of us," she smiled brightly and turned to him. "Would you rather tour the Gardens?" Endymion smiled at her and nodded his head. "That would be delightful, Princess." ****** They had been in the gardens for three hours, and neither of them was tired of looking and exploring the various flora varieties in the gardens. That, and each other's company. It was around noon when Serenity led Endymion to her favorite spot and sat down by the fountain that was in the center of the small, enclosed square. "This place is beautiful," Endymion mused as he looked around at all the different flowers. "I've never seen anything like it." Serenity dipped her hand into the fountain and nodded. "Yes, this is my favorite place to relax...I've never shown it to anyone though," she whispered softly. Endymion sat next to her and looked at her curiously. She was blushing. "Then why show it to me?" Shaking her head, Serenity turned to look at him in the eye. "I don't know...Something with in said I should, so...here you are!" Serenity pulled back a little when she noticed that Endymion had a strange look in his eye, and that he was getting closer and closer to her. She stood up suddenly and backed up a step. "I think...we should be going back! It's lunch time!" she exclaimed as she felt her heart beat quicken. Suddenly, her feet caught on the hem of her dress and she lost her balance. Quickly, Endymion stood up and tried to catch Serenity before she fell to the ground, only to succeed in pulling himself down with her, and somehow pulling them so that she was on top of him. The two stayed frozen like that for moment before Endymion rolled his eyes to the heavens and muttered, "Oh, what the hell!" under his breath and pressed his lips firmly on the Princess's. To say that Serenity was NOT upset with this would be an understatement, since she returned the sudden kisses with the same passion and feelings that Endymion was pouring into her. They broke for air for a moment, before returning to their previous activity, feeling something new and strong with in them as they did so. ***************************************************************** ~994 AD~ "...and that's when Mother, Father and Queen Serenity found them," Rose finished up. "Oh, Mina and I were with them too, all of us were searching for them since they were late coming back, and I wish there was a way to capture the looks on all of our faces when we came into that scandalous sight. By that time, the bond between them was there to stay, whether we wanted to have a say in it or not. It really sucked since Mina and I had such a good plan too!" Serenity's face was a fire, as was Serena's but she was hiding hers, and all the girls were smiling and laughing at the story. "Rose, if I ever hear you telling my children that story, I will personally strangle you." The statement caused more laughter among the group of friends. She stopped for a moment and glared at her harder. "AND IT WAS NOT A SCANDAL!" ***************************************************************** "How long have we been trying to complete a duel, Endymion?" Darien asked as he drew his sword and checked it for any damage. Endymion rolled his eyes. "How should I know? I'm tired of not being able to get a real, and final, sword match, that's the truth." Darien chuckled as he cleaned his sword. "Mad at your sister, I take it. Probably why we're in the middle of nowhere too," said as he surveyed the surroundings. The two of them were close to Mare Serenitatis, they could smell the sea, and were getting ready for the true match. They were free from interruptions and siblings this far out. It was late at night, but not quite the early morning as they practiced in the field before preparing to fight each other. Endymion held his sword at ready across from Darien. "HA!" ***************************************************************** Alamandite seethed as he watched image after image of the surveillance in the Moon Palace, looking for a Soldier or a member of the Royal family he could attack and kill. He needed to kill someone, anyone, to get back into the good graces of Princess Opal. She had delivered him an ultimatum an hour ago stating that he had until Eos drove her chariot across the sky to bring her the head of a Soldier, or solid proof that he was getting anywhere. Eos...Eos was the dawn, which left him approximately six hours, and there was no way he would be able to take on all of them at a time. His eyes scanned the perimeter of the Palace, and finally outside of it to where his eyes focused on two men sparring...one of them being Prince Endymion. As Alamandite disappeared, a person stepped out of the shadows. He has long silver hair that was pulled back into a pony tale to keep it out of his face, his steel eyes pierced the darkness and he laughed at the foolish man in red. ***************************************************************** The sword fight was nowhere near over when Endymion and Darien agreed to take a break an hour later. They were so evenly matched, that they where almost considering calling the match a draw and sparring for fun. But until the sun rose, they would not relent. Okay, so until the sun rose or their loves came from the Palace and semi-forcefully dragged them back inside. After all, they weren't going to resist the women they loved. Endymion wiped the sweat off of his brow and let out a sigh as he looked up at the Earth, admiring its beauty from a far. Indeed, Serenity was right. It did look like a beautiful blue crystal ball. A shock suddenly ran through both the men's bodies and they began to look around, aware that they were no longer alone. "Darien, do you feel it?" Endymion asked as he looked around. "I sense it...the evil of it is overpowering!" Darien half whispered-half exclaimed as he reached for his communicator, only to remember it was broken and he was unable to reach Serena. "There is no mercy this time, Gentlemen," a slightly familiar voice called from above them. They both looked up in time to see Alamandite begin to set himself down near them. "I need to kill you tonight, and with just two of you, I see no contest." ***************************************************************** Rose's head suddenly snapped up and she stopped talking loudly as she had been seconds ago. "Danger..." she whispered. "Rose?" Serena asked her new/old friend. But at that moment, she felt it too. Danger. Closing her eyes, Rose reached out and spoke softly. "Terra...she trembles. ENDY!" she exclaimed suddenly as she leapt up from her spot and called out her transformation phrase. "EARTH POWER!" Serenity grabbed her chest, as if she had a terrible pain in it, and cried out. "ENDYMION! DANGER! HE IS IN DANGER!" Sailor Earth was already gone, but she did hear the cry of her Princess and that only caused her, and the others, to push on faster. ***************************************************************** Darien and Endymion were breathing hard after only moments of trying to fight off the angry General. Endymion grit his teeth and charged at the man with such force that it shocked even himself, but not Alamandite. Alamandite made a clean sweep across Endymion's chest and watched as he fell backwards in pain. "ENDY!!" a female voice screamed when she saw him go down. Sailor Earth came up next to him and dropped down to his side and checked the wound. It wasn't deep, just painful. "Thank God!" "Darien, please run!" Sailor Mars called to him as she attacked. "MARS FIRE IGNITE!" Darien didn't hesitate as he ran towards Mare Serenitatis and transformed. He could feel Serena's transformation too, and knew she was very close to the battle scene. With in moments, they were both on the field and fighting with the Sailor Soldiers against their most powerful enemy to date. "MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!" The thick fog provided enough cover so that Uranus and Earth could help Endymion off of the field and into a small thicket of trees, where he could rest while they fought. Holding the wound on his chest, Endymion watched his friends, and his sister, battle with all their might. He was almost ashamed of himself for falling for such a cheap maneuver. "Endy!" Serenity exclaimed as she came into view of her love. She threw herself into his arms and held him tightly to her body. "I felt you pain!" she exclaimed softly as she was careful of his wound. She was in shock as she pulled back and gazed at the wound that covered his chest. "Endy..." she touched it and was surprised when he didn't pull back. "Serenity, what are you doing here?" Endymion asked as she brushed a lock of hair from her eyes. "It's dangerous!" Serenity took her loves hand and shook her head. "You're in pain!" she whispered. A scream broke the romantic atmosphere surrounding the two and Sailor Moon came flying back into the trees. Both Endymion and Serenity cried out at the sight before realizing what had just happened. "Sailor Moon!" Serenity called as she stood and walked to the girl, who stood on her own and shook her head. "Are you okay, Sailor Moon?" "Yes..." Sailor Moon winced as she moved her shoulder. "Damn him! Why is he so aggressive tonight?! I haven't slept yet!" she whined as she took off again and pulled her Tiara off. "MOON TIARA MAGIC!" Alamandite caught the disk and shook his finger at Sailor Moon. "Now, I know your mother taught you better than that!" he told her as he hurled the disk back at Sailor Moon, who easily caught it. "Okay, so what do we do?" Uranus hissed to Sailor Moon. "You're so smart, figure this out!" "TUXEDO LA SMOKING BOMBER!" The energy of the Earth hit the man dead on, seeing as he had not been prepared for the attack. "DAMN YOU!" Alamandite hissed as he shot energy at the masked man, who dodged. "WORLD SHAKING!" "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" The two attacks combined and went to hit Alamandite from the back but he turned and hit the combined attack back into a tree with his arm. "Sly...but not good enough!" With a simple wave of his hand, both women found themselves against trees as well. "SILVER MOON STAR ATTACK!" Alamandite became frightened at those words, those words meant that someone was going to die, and as the light took over hiss body, he screamed. Seconds later, the light died down and as they were about to start celebrating, they noticed that Alamandite was standing there, still in one piece. "NO!" Sailor Moon yelled as she gazed at him in disbelief. Smirking, Alamandite walked closer to the girl. "So close, and yet so far, Sailor Moon!" "EARTH MAGMA BOIL!" The fire was easily dodged, but when the Terra Staff came around his neck, Alamandite wasn't prepared for the lack of oxygen. "ATTACK NOW!" Sailor Earth yelled to her friends and she braced herself against the evil man's back. Neptune didn't waste a second and raised her hands. "DEEP SUBMERGE!" "NO!" Serenity cried as she came from the foliage. The sudden start caused Neptune to aim wrong and miss Alamandite by only four or so inches. "You could hit Rose!" she reasoned. "Princess, leave the battle field!" Jupiter commanded her as she charged up her own attack while Rose still had a good grip. The grip was lost as Alamandite drove his elbow into Earth's stomach and she fell to the ground with a moan. Seeing his time running short with the approaching dawn, he lunged for the most vulnerable person there, Princess Serenity; the only one who did not know how to protect herself properly. "DIE!!!!!!!!!!" No one could move and time slowed for them as Alamandite came closer. Serenity looked around before her eyes settled on the sword lying at her feet, having been used in Endymion and Darien's battle. She didn't think as she lifted the sword, her eyes closed, and held it in front of her, praying for protection. There was the sound of metal to flesh and Serenity dared to open her eyes, knowing that she felt no pain so it could not be her. She dropped the sword in shock when she saw what she had just done. Alamandite's face was close to hers, dangerously close, and he looked like he was both in pain and in a furry of vengeance as he stepped away. There was a dark red spot on his starched, white uniform and it was spreading by the second. She stepped away in horror as he collapsed to the ground...and laughed. "Oh, don't worry, Serenity. This injury is anything but terminal. You're hands are still cleaned and will not be tainted with my blood," he assured the Princess. Sailor Moon clenched her jaw. "The only way your hands will become red is if you spill the blood of an innocent!" "So you have no blood on your hands, I assume?" Alamandite asked as he stood. "You are still innocent as the day you were born in your lives?" Sailor Moon had no chance to answer as a strong wind suddenly blew from a new direction. Covering her face with her hands, she waited for it to stop, and when it did, a man with gray hair and eyes stood next to Alamandite. "Pyrite! You're here to help me!" Alamandite exclaimed with a slight smile. The man called Pyrite shook his head, a crooked smile on his face. "Oh, you misunderstand me, and the Princess, Alamandite. You see...Princess Opal gave you a set time and date for your execution, so I am here to do her bidding." Alamandite's eyes got wide and frightened as he realized that no matter what he had done this night, he would have died anyway. "I am your Judge, Jury and Executioner, Alamandite." A steel sword appeared in his hands and he finished the job Serenity started with no emotion on his face. Serenity covered her mouth in shock and felt tears well up in her eyes at the sight. There was a flash of light as the sun peaked over the horizon and everyone was forced to shield his or her eyes. When the looked again, Alamandite was nothing but dust, and Pyrite was nowhere to be found. "Serenity..." Endymion whispered as he came out of his hiding spot slowly. Serenity ran to him and buried her face in the clean part of his chest, shock still in her body. Shock that people could be that cruel to each other. "It's over now. You were brave." "He's right, Princess, you were!" Tuxedo Mask agreed with a nod as he took Sailor Moon's hand and held it tight. "Don't believe his death is your fault, if Pyrite had waited much longer, it could have been ours," Sailor Moon assured her. "See ya!" she said as she and Tuxedo Mask were about to take off. "HOLD IT!" Sailor Earth yelled at them as she grabbed Sailor Moon's arm and pulled her back. "Who the hell are you?! Sailor Moon...there is no such thing! What are you doing by taking this planet's sacred name?" she demanded of the girl. Sailor Moon jerked out of her hold and stood tall facing Sailor Earth. "I am myself, and I am here to help. I did not take this name, it was given to me by someone..." Sailor Moon trailed off as the memories came back, the memories that she was trying to make apart of her friends' lives. For the first time, everyone was able to see raw pain in Sailor Moon's features and it shocked them. She looked as though the emotions were making it so that she was physically unable to move from the strain. In a moment, they disappeared and she shook her head. "Someone near and dear to me gave me my name, and I will never disgrace it." She bowed to the Soldier. "A pleasure to meet you, Sailor Earth!" she exclaimed before she and Tuxedo Mask bounded off. "Oh, WAIT!" Jupiter cried out, causing them to halt for a moment. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stopped and turned to her. She looked nervous for a moment before yelling what she wanted, and needed to according to the Queen. "We're sorry about what happened last week! Ya know...with us trying to find out your identities!" The other's nodded in agreement (some more reluctantly then others) and Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask smiled at them. "Are you okay?" Tuxedo Mask asked her as they headed back towards the Palace. Sailor Moon nodded. "Yes, but it hurts sometimes," she whispered. "I can feel pain from the past...maybe because It's getting closer." Tuxedo Mask nodded and picked up his speed as Sailor Moon did the same. Everyone watched the two disappear and Sailor Earth shook her head. "They're on our side, but they sure don't talk much." Serenity nodded and gripped Endymion's hand tighter. ***************************************************************** The next day, Rose was outside of the Teleporters with all of the others. Endymion had been summoned back to Earth to take care of some political dispute, but she was going instead of him, claiming that Serenity needed him. "I wish this visit could have lasted longer," Rose said as she smiled sadly at her friends. "Well, at least you were able to get out here," Serena told her new/old friend. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Princess." "Rose," Rose insisted. Endymion and Rose hugged and Rose punched his arm lightly. "Sure you can survive with out me here?" she asked him teasingly. Glaring, Endymion answered. "I don't believe I will shrivel up and die, Rose." She snapped her fingers and sighed. "And here I thought I could get rid of you." Friendly good-byes and well wishes were given to the Earth Princess before she came to Darien. She looked at him strangely for a moment before shaking her head and sticking out her hand. "Nice to meet you, Darien. Hope to see you again!" Darien took her hand and kissed the back of it, causing Rose to blush. She then glared at him and snatched her hand back. "How much did my brother pay you to do that?" "Enough," Darien answered with a smile. Laughter rang through the hall, even from Queen Serenity and the cats. Terren said goodbye to Luna, his childhood best friend, and jumped on to his Mistress's shoulder. As she disappeared back to Earth she couldn't help but look at Serena and Darien once more. There was something about the look in Darien's eyes that reminded her suspiciously of her brother, and Serena...she didn't know, but she did look like Princess Serenity. "BYE SEREY! BYE EVERYONE!" she called as she disappeared. After she was gone, Serena jabbed Darien in the ribs and shook her head at him. "You're sister isn't here, so you have to take it out on another's sister?" Endymion laughed. "That, and the fact that she beat both of us at fencing this morning." Serena had to laugh along, but felt a sudden pang in her heart, and an extreme sense of urgency. She gasped and almost fell to the ground from the shock. "Serena, are you okay?" Amy asked as she looked at Serena curiously. Serena nodded and felt worry seep into her soul. 'What just happened?' ***************************************************************** ~1996 AD~ Rose was going to KILL those two relatives of hers when she got the chance. She had been all over the city, to EVERY friend's house, and back again before she finally had an idea of where they were. When she reached the schools playground, she saw the two sitting forlornly on the swings. They weren't talking, they weren't even swinging, as she approached them. Kneeling down, Rose prepared to deliver the bad news to them. "We know, Aunt Rose," Alec whispered before she could open her mouth. "We already knew you wouldn't be able to reach them." Pain seeped into her eyes and Rose touched both of their hands tenderly. "I'm so sorry, we just don't know what happened, and Pluto isn't answering either, so we can't ask her..." Rini began to cry then, sobbing out loud at the news. Though she knew that they were still alive because both she and Alec were, it didn't mean she wasn't worried. She got up and threw herself into her aunts' arms. Alec followed soon after and she held them both, with tears in her own eyes. 'What will I tell Ilene and Kent?' she asked herself as she squeezed the two children tighter. "Oh, now isn't this a touching sight!" a man's voice, a sickeningly familiar voice, called from somewhere above them. "Almost brings a tear to my eye...or it would if I didn't know who all of you really are." Rose let go of the two and looked around, searching for the evil power she felt right now. "Who's there?!" she demanded while holding her Transformation Pen close. "SHOW YOURSELF!" A chuckle came from all around and the voice answered. "As you wish, Roselyn." Azurite appeared right in front of Rose, who took at step back in shock. "A pleasure to see you again, your majesty's, and I use the term loosely." "How-" Rose began, but was cut off by Azurite. He was cold and calculating as he answered, as though he'd been waiting for this day for a long time. "We've known who you are for even longer than you have. We've been watching you since the day you were born, and waiting for our opportunity to attack you and destroy you." He laughed out loud at the look on her face. "We've simply been toying with you! It has been quite fun, I might add, and I wish I could have killed you all those times you were more vulnerable, but now will have to do, Roselyn." "No way in hell, pal!" Rose yelled angrily as she held her pen in the air. "Oh, yes way in hell, Roselyn!" Azurite shot a stream of blue energy at her, and watched as her pen fell far from her reach before using his magic on her and throwing her a good thirty feet away, where she fell unconscious. "AUNT ROSE!" the children yelled. Turning to Azurite, they both narrowed their eyes and prepared themselves. "MOON PRISM POWER!" The flash of light ended and Neo-Sailor Moon and Neo-Tuxedo Mask stood proudly, and angrily, before Azurite. "NEO-MOON TIARA MAGIC!" Azurite easily blocked the attack and sent it back towards the small solider, who wasn't prepared. She fell to the ground, also unconscious. "RINI!" Neo-Tuxedo Mask exclaimed as she ran towards his sister, only to be caught in a strange energy bubble with her the moment he reached her. "NO!" Alec screamed out as he detransformed, as Rini did too. He could feel himself disappearing away from the Earth, along with Rini, and he leaned down so that he was next to her on the 'ground.' Using every bit of his strength that he could, he pushed Rini out of the bubble and to the ground below, where all the others were gathering, having probably sensed the disturbance. Rini landed safely in Uranus's arms and awoke just in time to see her brother disappear with Azurite into the unknown. "ALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEC!" Rini screamed as she jumped from Uranus's arms and ran to where he had disappeared. Rose had awakened and watched the sight. Tears spilled down her cheeks and she felt her resolve crumble. 'I failed...' her mind whispered. 'Serenity help me, I failed!' ***************************************************************** Opal watched as Pyrite kneeled before her and she let him stay there for a while before speaking to him. "Is the trash gone?" "He will not bother us ever again, Princess," Pyrite assured her with a smile. "Good," Opal replied coolly. She stood and walked to her window, seeing the Silver Millennium below made her blood boil and she looked away. "Tomorrow, Pyrite...tomorrow, we shall take our revenge. Not a single Tenma like that moron Alamandite was sending out, but an army!" she told him. Pyrite nodded and frowned. "What of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask? When they get angry, they are a force to be reckoned with, Princess." A smile of knowing crossed Opal's face and she gestured behind her. "We have their son, do you really think they will be that much of a problem?" she asked her warrior. Azurite walked into the room at that moment and Opal smiled to him. "A lovely job, Azurite. Much better than before." "Thank you, My Princess," Azurite said with a bow. Opal turned and looked at the young Prince trapped inside the bubble of energy and glared daggers at him. He was unconscious, and with the amount of torture he was going to under go when he started to not follow orders, he would be that way for a long time. Chlorite watched all of this from the side and felt something that could be called happiness inside of him. Finally, they were going to pay for what they had put his Princess through. He had watched her go through life filled with bitterness and anger, and now the fruit of what he had been trying to teach her was no within reach. He had never been happier. "My revenge is now!" Opal shrieked with joy. To Be Continued... *Umbrella does nothing and Stef-chan is suddenly covered in vegetables and other assorted items from angry readers* Oh? Was that too much of a cliffhanger?! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh how the plot thickens! I have been planning Alec's kidnapping for a long, long time, and now it is finally done! Can you guess what happens next? *grins evilly* I hope not. As you can tell, this series is not going to be as long as FA, but most likely will be 15 chapters. Sorry I had this out before I had out the next chapter of Truths, but I had a TON of inspiration, and I had to get most of it out! Now on to other stories! *giggles* Oh yes, I am expecting flames, if anyone is planning on sending them. Have a good day!
