She slowly opened her eyes adjusting to the beautiful morning. She stretch her arms and sat up. She sat there thinking about what she needed to do today. Remembering that today was the start of the audition for the Spring Recital. She got up and went to her closet to find clothes to get ready for what the day ahead would bring her. 25 minutes later, Serena walked out of the bathroom dressed with a towel wrapped on the top of her head. She went to her vanity and pulled the towel off. As she began brushing her hair, she spotted the picture of her friends and their boyfriends. However, she also noticed the dark haired young male that stood out from the picture. She smiled at the thought of him but then a frown found its way to her face. She began thinking about seeing him Satuarday night and with whom he was with. He was with her. Her. Tiffany, the one who had given her so much trouble and grief since she arrived. She grimaced again remembering how Tiffany was all over him. It wasn't because he was with someone, she wouldn't have cared if it was anyone else. She told herself, although deep down she knew she would still be hurt if it was anyone......Tiffany or not. She asked herself. The voice answered her back. She grunted as she continued to brush her hair. Again that voice taunted her. Serena, this time, did not respond. She finished fixing her hair and went to gather her things for class. Was the last thought as she walked out of her dorm. @@@@@@@@@@Meanwhile across campus@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. He looked at himself one last time before starting out the door. Darien thought back to Satuarday night and the look on Serena's face when he was with Tiffany. Stupid. Was the only word that came to mind. ******Flashback****************************************** Darien turned in the direction that Serena was looking in and groaned. There sat Tiffany looking at him with hearts in her eyes. She smiled at him when he looked at her. She didn't hear the groan that came from his mouth. She grabbed his arm and purred into his ear. "Oh Darien. Isn't this so romantic." Darien, on the other hand, could not say one word in response. He looked to his friends for help, but all he got were the guys shaking their heads at him while the girls gave him an evil glare. He gulped. If that wasn't enough, Serena walked to their table to talk with them. He suddenly felt something tighten around his arm and felt something wet upon his face. He realized then that Tiffany was kissing his cheek and trying to trail down his face. He grimaced. He looked up to see Serena had stopped when Tiffany had started to kiss him. For one minute, he thought he saw sadness in her eyes. She swallowed hard and it was replaced with anger and hatred. He turned to look at Tiffany and saw that she had a smirk on her face with her eyes mocking Serena. "Hey there guys." Serena greeted her friends, but returned an annoyed smile to Tiffany. All of the girls got up and tackled her with questions and comments flying a mile a minute. "How long have you been doing this?" "Why didn't you ever tell us?" "You sing so beautifully." "Do you like singing here?" "You sound just like an angel." The guys chuckled at their girlfriends words while Serena colored fiercely. "Thanks guys and it is so nice to see you too." Serena laughed sacrastically. Her friends faces' flushed with embarassement. Serena couldn't help but giggle at the color their faces went to so quickly. The guys also noticed the expressions on their girlfriends' faces. They too laughed along with Serena. Darien sighed as he looked at Serena. He was brought out of his thoughts when something brushed up against his ear and spoke. "Darien, love. After this, do you think we can take a nice moonlite walk through the park?" Purred Tiffany as everyone watched. Serena gulped and decided that it was time to get back to the stage. "Guys, I have to get back. It is almost time for me to go back on." "Okay, Serena. We will see you afterwards." The girls all answered knowing what was really wrong. As Serena was walking away, she was stopped by Molly and her group. They were all talking to her and telling her how wonderful she sang. She recieved hugs from everyone at the table. However, Darien noticed the sweet embrace and gentle smile from the handsome young man and his blood began to boil. He glared over at the gentleman. He didn't notice that his friends saw the look he was giving the man. The guys shook their heads and the girls all had smirks on their faces, except for Tiffany who hadn't noticed a thing. All that was on her mind was the fact that she was with Darien and the look on Serena's face. "Oh Darien," She cooed and that brought Darien out of his thoughts. He realized that he shouldn't have feelings like that especially since he was with Tiffany. He couldn't help it though. Was his last thought as Serena began to sing again. *******End of Flashback**************************************** Now, all he could hope for is to some how make it up to Serena before it was too late. He walked out of the building his dorm was in and headed to class. For most of the day, Serena made sure to avoid Darien as mush as possible. Actually, that wasn't too hard because for some reason Tiffany was every where that Darien had went. Darien, on the other hand, didn't like that fact one bit. He had wanted to try and talk to Serena, but every time he tried. It seemed that Tiffany would just pop up. He was really starting to get annoyed. It had been a couple of days and he really needed to talk to Serena. He hoped that he would finally get a chance at the audition after their last class. He couldn't let this go on any longer without explaining things to Serena. ************************************************************** Okay that was it for that chapter. Tell me what you think! I am working on the next chapter as we speak so I hope to have it out soon. Thanks
