First, there was the meeting of all her new friends. They were just the greatest. School had been good. And now the auditions for the spring recital would start next week. Then she thought about her job at 'Silver Moon Cafe'. She had now been working there for 2 months and loved it. She enjoyed the response everyone had given her. And Artemis truly adored her. Well, basically she brings in the crowds which means more money for him. There was one problem though, she hadn't told her new friends about her job. At first she wanted to get use to it, but now it seems she just didn't want to bring it up. Even though Mina and Lita did know about it. They didn't bring it up either because they remembered their promise. Third and last, her mind wandered to a certain sexy dark hair male with an awesome build and deep blue eyes. The day of her audition for her job at 'Silver Moon Cafe' she knew she had started to fall for him. At that point she had decide to give it a try. However, a little scared at how things might turn out. They had become friends because of the group, but along the way they had decided to go out on a date. The date could have been decribed as.... 'A Date From Hell'. Everything you could expect to go wrong went wrong. They went to a restaurant across town which was planned and then when they arrived....The restaurant had lost their reservations. So they had to wait for 25 minutes to be seated, they weren't served for over an hour after that, and the meals were awful. It had started raining when they left so they got drenched going to his car, his car had gotten a flat and ran out of gas causing them to walk to the nearest gas station which was 10 blocks away. And to add to the nightmare, she had met some of his past girlfriends which weren't happy to see her with him. For some reason they wanted to let her know it too, by flirting and giving her dirty looks. 'What the hell were their problems?' she thought bitterly remembering the looks they had given her and the way they flaunted themselves at him. Now she wasn't sure if they should go out again after all that happened that night. It also seemed that he might feel the same way because he had not brought it up either. That made her a little uneasy. Sure she was scared, but couldn't help the way that she felt for him. He made her feel whole like when she danced or sang. Thinking about how he made her feel she realized something. 'Could I actually be in love with him?' She asked herself. 'Yes, you are. Stop worrying so much and just talk to him.' The voice inside of her explained. 'I will! I will talk to him tomorrow. But now I need to get ready for work.' She thought as she looked at her clock. It read 5:45. As Serena got ready for work she thought again about the auditions for the spring recitial. She wanted so badly to be in it. With a lot of encouragement from the girls and Ms. Black, Serena had decided to go for the lead. She just prayed that she would get it. 'I wonder if Tiffany will try out and what part she would go out for?' Serena questioned. 'The lead probably. Only the Best.' The voice inside of her growled. 'She probably won't like the competition.' 'Well, that's just too DAMN BAD.' Screamed Serena's mind. She has been having a little trouble with a couple girls in her classes. It seems that there is a competition going on between them. The main girl that was giving Serena the trouble was Tiffany Beryl Jackson. Now she is truly a witch to Serena. Tiffany has flaming shoulder length red hair and green eyes. Serena thought she could be very beautiful if it weren't for her bad attitude. 'She just thinks she is all that.' *******Flashback****************Flashback************************* "Serena, I would like you to go to the front of the class and show me what is the start of your short program." Luna directed her to do. As Serena went to the center of the class, she could hear Tiffany talking to her group. "Teacher's pet. She can't even dance good." Tiffany hissed in a cold voice speaking to her friends. "You are so right, Tiff." laughed Gina Ann. "Yeah, I don't even know what Ms. Black see's in her. I mean, you ARE the best dancer in the class." added Melissa Emerald. *Can you tell who the leader of that group of girls is?* "I don't like her. I hope that she screws up out there." Tiffany paused "Ms. Black should have let me go first, she is just going to be an embrassement." She swore as they watched Serena start her routine. As Serena walked to the center of the room. She had caught Tiffany's conversation with her friends. She could feel her tears on the verge of falling, but she held them back. Before she started, she looked toward her group of friends and smiled. 'I can do this.' she told herself. As she went through her routine, she kept silently encouraging herself. 'I can do this, I can do this'. She was coming to the end of her routine when she caught the evil eye and smirk from Tiffany and her group. At that moment Serena had tripped and fallen. Her tears were then released. 'No! I'm not going to let them see my tears,' she vowed as she got up and ran out of the room with the girls hot on her tail. ************Flashback*****************flashback******************** 'Just too DAMN BAD for her,' she declared as she picked up her things to leave. She closed the door behind her and left for work. *************Somewhere else on campus earlier********************** A group of people met in the courtyard deciding on what they wanted to do that evening. "So what are we going to do tonight?" Asked Raye as she held on to Jason's arm. Jason smiled at the way Raye was holding on to him. He couldn't believe that this lovely creature was to be his wife. He couldn't wait. He was truly happy and wanted all his friends to be happy. He could tell that they were all happy with the ones they were with.....well, except for Darien. For some reason he still hadn't found anyone. Sure he dated a lot, but still hadn't found the right girl for him. 'I wonder what happen to him and Serena?' He thought as he remembered Darien telling him and the guys that the date was a complete disaster. He said that everything that could go wrong went wrong. And now he was just not sure if he wanted to try it again. "Yeah, guys what do you want to do tonight?" Mina asked happily. Micheal looked at the girl at his side and smiled. He looked around and noticed Darien. 'TOO BAD he's just too blind to see a good thing infront of him.' He emphasized as he remembered what Darien had told him about his date with Serena. 'He's just being too stubborn and scared. But if he doesn't realize it soon....he might just lose that chance.' He was brought out of his thoughts by Mina's hand in his face. "Huh?" "Micheal. I asked what you would like to do?" "I don't know. What about a movie?" He asked her knowing full well that she didn't want to go to a movie. "I really don't feel like going to the movies." She voiced and the others agreed. "How about bowling?" Suggested Nate. "Yuck!" Exclaimed the girls in unison. "Well, I guess that's out." The guys laughed once the girls had told them what they thought. "Well, a friend of my mine from my computer graphics class told me about the 'Silver Moon Cafe'." Zack paused as he looked at the group before continuing, "He said that they have Live Music on the weekends and the girl, they have singing there is great." Everyone was talking about the idea with each other as Zack waited. Mina and Lita just looked at each other and smiled uncomfortably. "Well, what do you think? I mean, they say she sounds like an angel." Expressed Zack as he waited for some kind of response. "That would be fun." Raye and Amy chimed in. Mina and Lita just nodded slowly in agreement. "Yeah, that should be cool." The others answered. "Yeah, that would be a good place to go. Uh...um...guys, I kind of invited Tiff to come with us. She saw me earlier and we kind of made plans to go out." Darien told the group knowing what the reactions would be. "What?" Screeched the girls with the guys shaking their heads. "Sorry. But she just cornered me. I really don't want to go out by ourselves so I said she could come with us tonight." He grinned sheepishly. "What happen to Serena?" Mina questioned. "Yeah, what about Serena?" Lita bit out angrily. "Yes, Darien what happen with Serena?" Inquired Amy. "I thought you went out and you liked her." Added Raye. "Nothing. Okay, now GET OFF my back." Darien snapped. He really didn't want to snap at them, but he really didn't know himself and he couldn't shake off the feeling that he wanted to be with her. Not if she felt that she couldn't be with him. He didn't want to know or feel anything. He knew he had started to really care about her, but wasn't sure if she felt the same. The girls were a little thrown by that, but knew that he didn't know how to react or feel. They knew this because they could tell Serena didn't know either. Everyone was quiet for a moment and then Micheal spoke up. "Sorry, Darien." Micheal expressed with everyone nodding in agreement. "Okay, so everyone wants to go to 'Silver Moon Cafe'?" Zack questioned again trying to change the subject. "Yes," was heard from the group, so it had been decided that they would go there tonight. The group discussed the plans and then left to get ready. They were planning to meet back in the courtyard at 7:30. It gave them a little over an hour to get ready. 'I sure hope Serena will be okay with this,' were the last thoughts of Mina and Lita as they left to go get ready. ***************************************************************** Okay, that's it for that chapter. So what is going to happen when the group sees her? Or what is going to be her reaction to seeing Darien with Tiffany? Can they get past these obstactles and be together? I guess we will see. That's it for now. Just to let you know I am going to try and work hard on getting this story finished. So this will be my first priority and then getting on to "What the Future Foretold."
