~Serenity's Point of View~ 

Something was troubling me, I couldn't explain it, maybe it was 
having to walk the world to find it's soul.  Or maybe it was 
because I missed Endymion so much.  Hotaru tries her best to 
make me smile, but I can't.  I miss him so much. Unnoticed by me, 
I put a hand to my aching heart. 

"Serenity?"  Hotaru's voice called out to me. 

"Hmmm...oh...yes...." My voice was faint and distant. 

"You were thinking about Prince Endymion, weren't you?"  Her 
question embarrassed me. 

I looked away, "....." 

"Don't lie." 

"...yes..."  I really wish she wouldn't do that.  I was in a 
slump, Endymion is.....was.....my husband after all. 

*SIGH* She glanced over with the look, "Serenity...you know 
this isn't good for you.  You're 
supposed to save the world...and all you can think about is 
what is now lost.  Snap out of it!  We'll suffer because of 
you!"  Hotaru's harsh words hurt me.  But they were true, 
each of them.  It was my duty to collect what was left as 
Galaxia's enchantments.  I had to kindle her crown. 

"I know my purpose...it's been known for ages now." 
Yes, the Rime....it destroyed my life...and saved the world, 
and Endymion.... 

**On Avaric's white plain, 
where an icarus now wings 
To steeps of Terrain 
from Tour-of-the-Kings, 

And damozels twice-seven 
his brides have all become: 
A far cry from heaven, 
a long road from home --- 

Then strong-hoof of a starhorse 
must hallow him unguessed 
If adamant's edge is to plunder 
his breast. 

Then only, may the Warhorse 
and Warrior arise 
To rally the warhosts, and thunder 
the skies. 

But first there must assemble 
ones icari would claim. 
A bride in the temple 
must enter the flame, 

With steeds found for six brothers, beyond 
a dust deepsea, 
And new arrows reckoned, a wand 
given wings --- 

That when a princess-royal's 
to have tasted of the tree, 
Then far from Easternesse's 
city, these things: 

A gathering of gargoyles, 
a feasting on the stone, 
The Witch of Westernesses's 
hag overthrown. 

Whereafter shall commence 
such a cruel and Sorceress War, 
To wrest recompense 
for a land leaguered sore. 

Wither her broadsword Bright Burning, 
the shadow Black-as-Night, 
From exile returning, 
shall dare dragon's might 

For love of one above who, flag unfurled, 
lone must stand, 
The pearl of the soul of the world 
in her hand 

When Winterock to water 
falls flooding, foes to drown, 
Galaxia's own daughter 
shall kindle the crown.**

What a joke.  I never wanted it, I never wanted any of it, but 
Endymion.  And now, my duty is to save the whole world, when 
I can't even save my own heart from this pain. I blinked away 
a few loose tears. 

"Serenity...stop it!!!  Just stop it!  Think about what you're 
doing to yourself." Hotaru screamed at me. We stopped walking, 
and a heavy darkness swept over us. 

Hotaru was right, everytime I do this to myself, I 
endanger the world, and Endymion. From this moment on, I swear 
to never look back. I turned back, just one more time, though 
as far away as from where I was. I just looked back as if I 
could see him, one more time. Then turned into the direction 
I am now heading, and held my head high, "Hotaru we have no 
time to waste, we must save the world." 

Hotaru and I started a fast pace towards our destination. 

"Yes, Hotaru...I know....I vow that I will not even think anymore of 
the Prince of Avaric."  Were those words even true?  Did I believe 
them?  We were soon to find out.
