"I am Sailor Silver Selene, Ambasador of the Moon Kingdom, Representative of the Lunar Princess," Sailor Silver Selene shouted. "I fight for peace and justice, and on behalf of the Moon, you shall pay for the terror you have caused, undoubtedly many times before. You shall suffer your fate at my hand!" Ignoring the shouts and exclamations from her friends, and new comrades, Sailor Silver leaped into the air, just barely dodging a whip of black electricity as the shadow continued to laugh. Sailor Silver snarled and narrowed her eyes as she landed, directly beneath the heart of the shadow creature. Before the monster realized where she was, she pointed her staff straight up, closing her eyes, her brow crinkled in concentration and fury. "Golden...MoonLight...Shattering...BEAM!!!!" With the last, screamed word, a beam of golden moonlight lanced from the top of her staff, where two silver stars, one on each side, floated away from the golden crescent moon, allowing the golden light to form a large, crackling beam. The light shot straight up, piercing the heart of the shadow creature. The creature let loose a howl of agony as pure golden moonlight seeped through its being. Yet, as they all watched, the shadow fought back, shoving a chunk of darkness down the golden beam, trying to push it back. Mina's eyes were wide as they heard Serena, no Sailor Silver Selene, she had called herself, cry out in pain and fury as a small whip of negative energy nipped at her shoulder. Slowly, the blackness started to move down the golden beam, thrusting downwards towards the Moon Ambassador. "Come!" Darien shouted to his Generals. "We have to help! We all have a bit of power! We can't fight it, but maybe we can shield her until she gathers enough power to destroy it!" The young men nodded, and slowly, painfully, as a strong wind had built up and was fighting their every movements, they rose to their feet and trudged head first against the wind towards Sailor Silver. Only pure determination allowed them to reach the struggling warrior maiden as her arms screamed in pain, her mind refusing to drop the staff as black power bore down upon her. Still she fought it with all she had. Suddenly, and abruptly, she felt the burden lessened slightly, just enough to allow her to gasp in precious air. She dared a glance through one cracked open eyelid, and saw that the prince, along with his four Generals, had surrounded her, facing inwards, and that they were all glowing different colors. Kunzite -orange, Zoicite -blue, Nephlite -green, Jedite -red, Prince Darien -gold. Then all at once their powers merged, becoming white. A shimmering opalescent dome surrounded them, providing just enough protection to allow Sailor Silver to shove her power upwards once again, ever so slightly. "Serena..." Mina whispered. "No..." She had to help! But how? She had no power, Raye was the only one who had any magical abilites, and she could only bring fire and place curses or remove them, no more. Or could they...? Mina had read once that if the will and the desire and the need were great enough, a person bearing a pure heart could do anything. Was her heart pure enough? Mina didn't believe that there was such a thing as a *totally* and completely pure heart, but there were those who were purer than others. Was she one of them? Did it even matter? "C'mon!" She screamed furiously. "Fight it, Rena! You can do it!" Beside her, Lita slammed a fist into the ground, tears of anguish running down her face at being helpless. "I hate this!" Raye shouted with outrage. "Here we are cowaring while our queen and prince battle a minion of the NegaForce, and we can't do a thing to help!" '*Yes...yes, you can, Sailor Ambassadors...*' A whispy, silvery voice whispered, yet they heard it. Looking around as best as they could while being flattened to the ground by the wind, they saw no one. '*Do you mean what you say, when you wish that you could fight this evil? Do you truely desire to assist your leader in her struggle against the Nega powers?*' "Yes!" They all cried, even Amy. "With all our hearts!" Mina cried. '*Very well,*' the voice whispered, and chuckled slightly. '*It is appropriate that you should use the word, 'heart,' Ambassador Venus,*' The voice was undoubtedly talking to Mina, and suddenly, a starburst of golden orange, threaded with pink appeared before the blonde, at eyelevel. The light flashed once, and there, floating, was a short rod, from wrist to elbow. It was a bright orange, with a golden heart atop it, ringed with two chains of pink quartz hearts, crossing each other diagonally. Out of the corner of her eye, Mina saw four similar flashes. Raye gasped as a red rod, with a flame carved out of a ruby and burning with an inner orange light appeared before her. The flame was surrouned by swirling, dancing fire orange scarves, containing the ruby flame. Lita's face lit up with anticipation as the minature lightning storm before her face faded to reveal a forest green stick, with a transparent, hollow glass sphere atop it. Within it, at the center, was a floating, perfectly round emerald gem that had electric green and blue lighting dancing from it to the edges of the inside of the glass. Amy's jaw dropped as the tiny snow storm in front of her melted away for her to see a baby blue wand. A large, glistening waterdroplet made from a large, sparkling blue sapphire was atop it. Chains of ice blue and silver snowflakes danced around it in swirling cyclones. All together, they reached out and gripped their wands. With startling clarity, they all suddenly knew what to do. Mina gripped her Love Light Power Rod and cried out, "Golden Love Light Power: TRANSFORM!" Hesitantly closing her slender hand around the handle of the wand, Amy opened her mouth and yelled, "Sapphire Snowstorm Power: TRANSFORM!" "Ruby Flame Power: TRANSFORM!" Raye wasted no time in snatching her power rod, and screaming out her words of power. Lita, a grin of anticipation of a good fight on her face, her eyes flashing sinisterly, forced herself to her knees as she grabbed her power rod, screaming out with all her might. "Emerald Lightning Power: TRANSFORM!" The shadow creature was momentarily distracted by the spectactrical light show as swirling snowstorms, whiping and thrashing lightning bolts, dancing, fiery flames, and golden light litered with stars and hearts surrounded four girls. This distraction allowed Sailor Silver to shove her power up another notch, though the price was another wrench in her arms. When the lights flashed one last time, then faded, even the Generals couldn't help but glance over, and what they saw nearly made them drop the shield completely. Four goddesses stood in a row, oblivious to the shrieking winds around them. Silken hair whipped around slender, agile bodies, and with a cry, the one farthest to the General's right, the one clad in gold and pink, lunged foward. With a cry, the others followed. All five of them charged forward, dodging black lightning and whiping tenticles. They leaped into the air and dived through the shield, landing within the circle of Generals, around Sailor Silver. It was evident how she was struggling, and the girls wasted no time in surrounding her, facing inward, and joining hands. Closing their eyes, again they somehow knew perfectly well what to say. "Sapphire!" Amy cried, and she, clad in a ice blue and pale ice violet fuku, began glowing a watery blue. "Emerald!" Lita roared, and she, too, began glowing, the forest green light showing through her elecrtric blue and green uniform. "Ruby!" Raye's voice was filled with determination as her body flared with red light, illuminating her figure shrouded in dark, nearly black red and vibrant orange. "Golden!" Mina's voice was gentle, yet loud and fierce at the same time, radiating the power of the human heart as she burst with a golden orange light, her golden skirts and pink chest and lower back bows fluttering wildly in the intense wind that had suddenly form around her and the girls with the completion of the circle of power. In the center of the circle, fighting off the blackness, Serena heard her the cries of her friends, and her heart wept with joy. Somehow, she had subconsciously known it was them, that they were her comrades, as always, the Sailor Ambassadors. So with a tearful cry, she managed to shout out her own power. "Silver Star!" With the hissed out cry of power, she burst out with silver light, the same silver light that had consumed her so many times before, only now, *she* was in control! The multi-colored lights blurred and mixed, becoming a white hot. "GET AWAY!" Mina screamed to the Generals, and they were forced to comply and break off the shield and stumble away as the light and heat became unbearable. "SAILOR! GUARDIAN! LIGHT: ATTACK!" With that final, simultanious cry, a thick, pusling beam of pure white light shot up from the center of the circle, growing larger as it gained ground. An agonized cry was heard, then the darkness above them was shattered. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* A painful, throbbing, pouding headache was what Serena awoke to, as well as a tiny, wet and rouch surface running vigirously up and down her face. "Quit it, Luna," Serena mumbled. The tongue continued. Serena reached up an arm and swiped the cat away, ignoring the yowls that followed. "AAAAAAAIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!" Serena cried bloody murder as she felt four sharp, stabbing pains on each shoulder. She sat straight up, snatching the clawing feline away from her, and gripping her slightly bleeding shoulders. It was then that she finally noticed where she was. Gasping, her eyes wide, she looked around to see herself surrounded with the bodies of her comrades, and the General's, and her prince. *MY prince?* She thought absently, and forced herself to shove the thought aside as she crawled painfully to Darien's side. "Darien," Serena gripped his shoulder and shook him gently. "Darien, are you alright? C'mon, prince, wake up!" Slowly, his eyes blinked open, and he groaned, raising a hand to his forehead, where a very colorful easter egg seemed to have grown. "Oh, man," The raven haired young man muttered. Serena breathed a sigh of relief. "Are you okay?" She asked as he slowly sat up. "Yes, I'm fine, thanks," Then he glimpsed her attire and raised an eyebrow. Noticing the heightened feature, Serena looked down at herself and giggled. The skirt *was* rather short, and the v neckline wasn't very modest. Nor was the tightly fitted, thin bodice. "Well, I couldn't very well fight in a long skirt and corset," She laughed. "But I agree; it is rather revealing, isn't it?" "Understatement," The prince muttered, still looking away. Serena laughed again, then stroked the locket at her chest, that bore her seal (moons over star), and in a whirlwind of silver and gold glitter, it was simply Serenity sitting there. "That better?" She asked with a grin. Darien smiled and nodded. Suddenly, without warning, Serena found herself in a completely different position. "Wha-" She gasped as she realized that the prince had grabbed her and pulled her into his arms, folding her firmly into his embrace. Her head was resting against his chest, hands on his shoulders. Both of them risen up on their knees, they fit together like pieces of a puzzle. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, princess," He murmured into her ear, before burying his face in her neck, stroking her back. Serena had no choice but to let herself relax in his hold. And again the cheetah and butterflies came to her heart and pit of her stomach, her pulse accelerating rapidly, a flush coming to her cheeks as she realized just how much she liked being in his arms. After a moment, ignoring her heart's protests, Serena pulled out of his arms slightly. "Highness, we should wake the others and get back to the palace," she whispered, looking at his chin and not trusting herself to look at his face. If she did that, she might look at his eyes, and if she looked at his eyes she was sure to drown in their blueness, and if she lost herself in his eyes... "I suppose so," he whispered his agreement. Reluctantly, they pulled apart, and set to the task of waking the Guardian Generals, and the Sailor Ambassadors. A few moments later, a second light show was seen, and when it cleared, Amy, Lita, Raye, and Lita stood there. A few seconds of silence, then the girls all rushed at each other with cries of joy and excitement, meeting in a large group hug. "Oh, I can't believe this!" "We have magical powers!" "This is soooo awesom!" "Those high heels are ridiculous, but I like the convienence of the rest of the outfit." They all laughed at the matter of fact tone of Raye's statement. Looking on in amusemtent at the chatteing girls, the Generals retrieved the horses that were still tied to the trees, as some of them had broken loose of their ties and run off. Most likely they were back at the palace. Still bouncing with excitement -and Serena smug, knowing she still had a few surprises for them, namely a talking cat- the girls mounted the horses, Amy, Mina, and Serena riding with Zoicite, Kunzite, and Darien. On the way back, under insistent proding, with Luna's discreet permission from her lap, Serena spilled the story of how she had gotten her powers, and a a very sketchy picture of what Luna had shown her -leaving out the fact that this 'Luna' was the cat in her lap. "You know, we're going to have to find a privet place to start training with our new powers," Lita said abesently, stiffling a yawn as she and the others unsaddled their horses and put them in their stalls. "Don't worry; we have just the place," Nephlite gave her a smile as they all walked wearily out the stable, the slight edges of dawn peeking up over the horizon. They bid their awkward goodbyes, and the girls quickly and silently slipped away into the gardens, heading for their own balconies. Oblivious to them, the Generals watched after them as they left, looking at them with expressions akin to awe and...affection. "Who would have thought?" Jedite cocked his head. They all smiled. Darien's eyes twinkled with hope. "Looks like we may have a chance against the Nega Force after all." To Be Continued... So sorry this took so long to get out, minna! I was super sick for the past week, then my mother dragged my whole family out to go Computer shopping.
