Yea! I got the chapter done! Hurray! I didn't think I would because I've been sick since Sunday and home all week. But, thems the breaks of asthma and being around sick people at school! Oh, I'm sooooooooo happy right now! Other than my health, I've been having a great week! My team won the Super Bowl. (Though I would have been going for the Arizona Cardinals had they been in, but we suck.) I've gotten two A's on my last tests, and I may be doing a joint fic with Ti'ana-chan! And as she put it last week, we are both insane so you don't need to worry about that. Though she's more insane than I am! Oh, I posted my first rant on my Imouto-chans', Sailor Andromida/ Azurite, site. If you are interested in seeing what's going on in my mind (they'll mostly be about the Sailor Moon world) then read it. I'll tell you that the first one is about Anti-Usa/Mamo fics, so please go and visit her site! She is such a wonderful writer with great fanfiction up! The addy is: http://www.geocities.com/sailor_andromida/ RATING: PG- Normal stuff, but lot's of mushy romancy stuff in here too! DISCLAIMER: The real reason that there's only one Mamo-chan is because he's mine! I'm the Mamo-keeper! But you see, I'm not the Sailor Moon keeper! Quote of the Week: "Love comes once in a life time so if you are lucky enough to be bless with a soul mate never let them go no matter what. Finding the other half of your soul is so rare and precious there are no words that exist to explain how right it is to be with the only person you could ever love. To be able to give yourself spiritually, physically, and emotionally to your other half to that twin soul must be the most amazing feeling in the world. Lady Zamira, a friend of mine. Deep, no? ___________Lightning Hearts___________ Alan mopped around school all day. He hadn't seen Serena anywhere, and he had swore to himself that he would try and find her and see if she wanted to do something today. 'Where could she be?' he thought as he searched the school courtyard again. Anne glared at her 'brother' as he went looking for that girl. 'Who does he think he's fooling?! I saw the way he treated her yesterday! And if the blond bimbo decides to horn in on my territory, she's got another thing coming!' ******************************************************************* Amy sat with her legs tucked underneath her chin as she waited for the scan her computer was doing to complete itself. After leaving the hospital the day before, both girls had gone to their respective homes after setting a meeting time after school the next day. Amy had pulled out that card thing she had picked up at the battle site and began scanning it before Luna and Artemis arrived. Serena hadn't been at school that day, and though Amy knew she shouldn't worry, she did. 'She's fine! It was just an energy drain! It happens all the time.' Raye looked up from her sweeping and gazed at her friend. "Amy? Is it done yet?!" she whined slightly. Amy laughed and the cats rolled their eyes. A beeping sounded and Amy let out a sigh, "Finally!" Putting the card back in the bag, she then looked at the readings her computer had gotten off of it. Luna jumped up onto Amy's shoulder and looked at the computer. "What is it, Amy?" she asked. Amy typed a few more buttons, bringing up a different screen on her computer. "It appears to be precisely as we hypothesized, Luna. According to my scans, the youma was driven to deprive human beings of their stamina and then rush to do the same to another until it had achieved its' commission." With a groan, Raye buried her face in her hands. 'The one thing I didn't miss!' "Please, speak a language from Earth, Amy!" Blushing, Amy restated what she had just said. "It means it took peoples' energy, but we don't know why." Raye rolled her eyes. "You could have said that at the beginning!" she complained. Amy sighed. "I did, Raye. But the point is, that there was one, and there will be more." "Yeah," Artemis agreed. "But, can you girls do this with out Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask?" he asked them. "We swore to Queen Serenity that we would not wake them, if at all possible." Raye finished her sweeping and sat down across from Amy. "It was tough last night, but I think we can handle it!" she said enthusiastically, though she felt none of that enthusiasm. 'Serena should be here, no matter what! I mean, it doesn't feel the same with out her with us...' "What about Lita and Mina?" Amy asked. "Are we going to awaken them, too? Or is it just Raye and I until they're needed again?" "Artemis and I have discussed this," Luna began hesitantly, "and we believe that it would be best to awaken them as soon as we can." "So when?" Raye asked. "Today at the Crown," Artemis suggested. "They always go there. And if worse comes to worse, Luna and I can always convince them." Amy didn't meet anyone's gaze as she spoke, "I guess the Sailor Scouts are a team again." ******************************************************************* "And you're sure you're feeling up to this?" Darien asked his girlfriend for at least the sixtieth time since they had left her house not five minutes ago. Serena sighed and linked her arm through his. "Darien, sweetie," she said as she stopped and put both of her hands on his face. "You've asked me that several times already! If I didn't feel like going to the Arcade, I wouldn't have come! And then we could have stayed home and watched those movies you brought over!" She placed a light kiss on Darien's nose and then continued walking. They had been released from the hospital that morning, in almost perfect health, just a little tired. Darien hadn't let Serena out of his sight since the attack. He probably would have followed her home, had it not been for a certain man she called "Daddy" glaring at him. So Darien patiently (AN: YEAH RIGHT!) waited until afternoon to call and possibly take her out. Ilene Tsukino had been quick to agree, and let her daughter go; providing she didn't strain herself. Darien wrapped an arm around Serena's waist and gave her a gentle squeeze. Serena leaned into him and let her eyes drift closed. Darien looked down and realized how much trust Serena had just placed on him. She knew he would walk her to the arcade with her eyes closed, not letting anything happen to her, and she would get there much less scraped and bruised then normal. They arrived at the Arcade quickly, and painlessly. Darien led Serena over to the barstools where he saw Amy and Raye sitting, with Pepsi's in hand. (Coke is evil!) Sitting down, Serena leaned her head on Darien's shoulder, and Darien kissed her tenderly on her forehead while running a hand through her thick hair, causing the girls to smile. 'It's so great that they're still together,' Raye thought with a sigh. 'They really are the "Eternal Couple."' Amy however, had other things on her mind. "What are you two doing out of bed?!" she demanded while pointing an accusing finger at the couple. "You should be resting, not out on a date!" she told them in an exasperated voice. 'Something's will never change!' Serena smiled innocently at Amy and rolled her eyes at her. "Oh, come on, Amy!" she whined. "We're both doing so much better, so Mama said I could go out with Darien for fresh air," she explained. Raye grinned and winked at her friend. "Yeah, suuuuure she did, Serena!" Raye said in a sarcastic tone. "We believe you!" Darien blushed causing Andrew, who had been listening the whole time, to laugh. "Oh, I wish I had a camera!" he said while still laughing. Serena glared at Raye, who proudly glared back. "Raye! You are soooo mean!" she wailed and then proceeded to stick her tongue out at her friend, who happily did the same, not caring if she was making a scene. Amy shook her head. '*Now* everything's back to normal...but if only the others were here...' Amy felt a familiar tug at her senses and looked up just in time to see Lita stroll in with Mina right behind her, carrying Artemis in her arms. Artemis' blue eyes met Amy's blue eyes and she nodded slightly. Grabbing Raye by the arm, Amy indicated to Lita and Mina who were sitting at separate booths. Raye nodded to Amy and smiled at Serena and Darien. "Sorry, we gotta go, guys!" "So soon?" Serena asked with a pout. "I don't get to see you two very much!" Amy laughed a little. "Yes, but I promised Raye I'd help her out at the Temple, so we have to go. See you later, Serena, Darien and Andrew!" She said as she and Raye went to talk to Lita, and then Mina. Serena furrowed her brow. What had just happened between herself and Raye, the tongue war, was so familiar. Like they had fought like that a million times before. 'And why did Raye seem so relieve when I stuck my tongue out at her?' She shook her head to clear her mind and was startled when she suddenly found Darien's lips on hers. Serena gave a start at the sudden show of affection, but then smiled and proceeded to give her full attention to this kiss. Andrew rolled his eyes and walked away. 'If I didn't have my own girlfriend, I think my lunch would be on the ground right now.' Darien pulled away gently and Serena blushed under his gaze. "Let's get a milkshake and then take a walk, okay?" he suggested as he kissed her temple and then her nose. Serena nodded and called Andrew back over to give their order. ******************************************************************* "Sooooooo," Raye began as she and Amy walked up to Lita, "how are we going to do this, Einstein?" Amy smiled at Raye and sauntered up to her old friend. "Hello, Lita," she greeted politely. Lita looked up and was about to snap at the person, but backed off when she realized that it was Amy. "Oh, hello, Amy!" she greeted cheerfully, remembering the girl from when she had tutored her some time before. "Is there something I can help you with?" she asked the small blue haired girl politely. Amy smiled back, "Yes, there is actually! You see, Raye and I were going to go and clean up some fallen branches and debris at her Temple. It's just going to be the two of us and I as wondering if you would help us out?" Lita's face seemed to fall slightly and her shoulders slumped. 'So, she only wants to have something to so with me because I can lift things up and-' Her thoughts were interrupted as Amy finished speaking. "And then we were going to go to a movie, so do you want to come?" Amy smiled in triumph. Raye looked at the small girl in astonishment. Amy Anderson had just lied! She leaned in and whispered into Amy's ear, "Girl, I didn't know you had it in you!" With a huge smile plastered on her face, Lita quickly agreed and the three girls headed out of the Crown to the Temple. ******************************************************************* Smiling a cat smile, Artemis watched the three girls leave together. 'Phase one: Complete!' He glanced at his charge who was staring at Andrew with a dreamy expression on her face. Artemis shook his head. 'And now, on to Phase two!' Yowling, Artemis jumped from Mina's lap to the ground, startling her. "Huh? Artemis!" She stood up to get him and he ran further away. "Get back here, you stupid cat!" she yelled as she chased Artemis out the door and around the corner, the long way to the Temple. ******************************************************************* "I *saw* the way you looked at her, Allan!" Anne argued as she and Allan walked home from school. "You were practically drooling over her!" Allan sighed and ran his hands through his hair. "Anne, for the last time, I was trying to be friendly! We need to act human, so we need friends to be human." Anne glared at him out of the corner of her eye. "And kissing her is supposed to be friendly?" she shot back at him snidely. Allan tried to speak again, but Ann turned her nose up at him and looked in the opposite direction and straight through the arcade window at the most gorgeous creature she had ever seen! 'Oh WOW!' she thought, her earlier comments to Allan flying out the window in a split second. 'Who is the guy?!' she thought as her eyes followed him and saw that he was sitting with *her.* Anne saw red and glared hatefully at the young blond. 'Figures! Not only is she after Allan's heart, but she has his too!' "Let's get home, Anne," Allan suggested in a slightly annoyed tone. He had seen the way she was looking at that man, and he didn't like it. "We need to get more energy for the Doom Tree." Anne thought for a moment before answering. "How 'bout here?" she suggested as she stopped with him in a nearby alleyway. "We could have it just attack random people on the street and gather their panicky energy." Allan considered this for a moment before changing into his alien form and displaying the cards for his love to choose from. ******************************************************************* Lita smiled and cracked her knuckles when she saw the job she had to do. "Alright! This is gonna be fun!" she exclaimed as she got ready to do her work. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a white streak jumped and landed safely in Lita's arms while breathing hard. Lita gave a start, but then smiled. "Hey, where did you come from, Kitty?" she cooed to Artemis a little, and causing Amy and Raye to hide their snickers. "ARTEMIS!" the voice of Mina Aino yelled as she came trudging up the stairs while panting herself. Spotting her cat, she scooped him out of Lita's arms and began to scold him. "Bad, Kitty! Don't you know to not run off like that?!" she asked him as though expecting an answer. "It was the only way he could get you here, Mina," a new voice intervened. "Who said that?" Mina asked as she turned to face the voice, only to see a cat. Luna stepped forward into the light and Artemis jumped down next to her. "Mina," Mina gasped as the cat spoke her name. "Lita," Lita turned white and began to back away. Luna sighed. "I hope you girls understand that we need your help," she whispered as her crescent moon began to glow. Before either of the girls could run away, Luna's moon came into contact with their foreheads and both simultaneously gasped as long forgotten memories poured into their minds. When the Mind Meld was complete, Mina smiled slightly and whispered, "Princess...Prince...Artemis" She turned to face her friends and her smiled widened. Lita picked up where she left off. "Raye...Amy...Luna..." The four girls enveloped each other in a group hug as tears streamed down their faces. "I can't believe I forgot!" Lita whispered as she pulled away and wiped her eyes. "Do Serena and Darien know?!" Mina asked excitedly. Amy and Raye looked at each other and then the two Lunar cats, who quickly explained the situation and why Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask weren't present. "So they don't know us?" Mina asked through her tears. "Serena doesn't remember us?" Artemis rubbed against his charge and purred. "That doesn't mean that you can't be friends with her," he said with reassurance. Lita stood up suddenly, shocking everyone. "Then I say we go and begin to make friends with them again. Right now!" The others shouted their agreements, except Raye, who suddenly turned white. "We may have to wait until tomorrow for that, guys," she stated grimly. "Why is that?" Amy asked. Raye's gaze narrowed darkly and she growled out her answer. "I can feel it. They are planning another attack...right now!" ******************************************************************* Darien watched Serena out of the corner of his eye as she took another sip of the milkshake they were sharing. He smiled and simply stared at her with a stupid grin on his face. Serena noticed this, and before he could blink, grabbed his straw and brought it over to her side of the drink, and began to drink out of it. She was finished before Darien even realized what had happened because she was able to get twice as much in such a short period of time. "HEY!" Darien yelled as he grabbed his straw back and tried to get some more chocolate shake out of the glass, but only received air. Serena giggled and shook her finger at him. "Serves you right for staring at me like that!" Darien rolled his eyes. "It's my fault you're so beautiful?" he asked her. Serena leaned forward slightly. "No, I guess not. But then whose fault is it that you're so incredibly handsome and charming?" she whispered to him causing Darien to blush ever so slightly, a sight that even Serena couldn't make happen very often. Serena kissed his cheek and pulled back. "Close your mouth!" she commanded him. "You'll catch flies." Darien did as told and then mock glared at her. "Come on," he said as he helped her stand up and began to lead her out of the booth. "Let's go for that walk before it gets dark." Serena nodded and slid her arm through his, and the two walked out the door. But that's as far as they got. Standing outside was a huge fish like creature with scales as a dress and bright blue hair. It was shooting seaweed at people who were running from it as fast as humanly possible. Serena's face turned white as she grabbed Darien's hand and forced him back into the Crown. They bumped into Andrew on the way in. He was just staring at the creature in shock and horror and almost didn't move when it came running in through the glass. Andrew turned to run, but seaweed shot from its' hand and wrapped around his body. With a scream, Andrew fell limp and the Cardian tossed him effortlessly to the side. It grinned evilly as it spotted Serena and Darien holding onto each other for dear life. Serena looked around frantically, and grabbed the first item she could. A plate. Without thinking, she hurled the plate expertly towards it, causing the Cardian to scream when it smashed into its' face. 'Where did that come from?' Serena thought as she looked at the creature in wonder. 'I never knew I could throw anything like that!' It didn't stop the monster for long. Angrier then before, it lunged at the young couple. "JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!" "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" The two attacks grazed the Cardian, who screamed and turned towards the source. Four girls in Sailor suits stood in the semi-lit doorway in fighting stances. The Cardian growled and turned its' attention away from Serena and Darien to the Sailor Scouts. Opening its' mouth, it shot a sonic wave at the girls, who easily dodged. Using the distraction to their advantage, Serena and Darien dove under a booth and watched the battle from there. "MARS FIRE IGNITE!" The flame attack did nothing against the fish Cardian and it kept coming. Bring claws to bear, it lunged at Sailors Mars and Venus, slashing them across their shoulders. The two Scouts screamed and jumped back. Sailor Jupiter gritted her teeth and narrowed her eyes. "I've had enough of you!" she yelled as her lightning rod extended. Venus clenched her fists and tried to relax her breathing. "I'm with you, Jupiter! Let's double team her!" "VENUS..." "JUPITER..." "METEOR..." "THUNDER..." "SHOWER!" "DRAGON!" A scream sounded throughout the Arcade and within seconds, the Cardian was nothing more than a single card impacted on the ground. "Yes! Alright!" Venus cheered as she jumped up and down. The Sailor Scouts congratulated themselves until they remembered their friends huddled underneath a table. Serena and Darien climbed out, still holding onto each other, and surveyed the scene. "Wh-What was that?" Serena asked. Though in her heart, she felt she should know. She should know exactly what was going on and she should have been doing something about it. The Sailor Scouts turned to their friends and looked away. Mercury was the one to semi-answer her question. "It was a monster, but you don't need to worry about it. We'll take care of all of them," she explained. Sirens could be heard in the distance and the Sailor Scouts' heads jerked toward them. "We gotta go, now!" Venus yelled as she made her way towards the door. The others quickly followed, but Darien stopped them. "Wait! Who are you?" he asked pleadingly. 'I feel I should know them...' Sailor Jupiter turned around and smiled at him, sadness evident in her eyes. "We are the Sailor Scouts of the Planets. I am Jupiter. The one in red is Mars, blue is Mercury, and the one in orange is Venus. We protect this planet from all outside forces. You do not need to fear us." And with that, the Sailor Scouts disappeared into the fading light of the sun. The police pulled up along side of the road and stormed inside the building. When they saw Serena and Darien standing there, they put their guns away, and began to ask the two frantic questions. ******************************************************************* Darien walked Serena home after the cops had finally let them go. He had to force them into releasing them because Serena was close to tears from all the questions and stress they were putting her under. Neither had said anything since they had left the Station, and they didn't plan on ruining the moment that they were in. It was a perfect night. Not a cloud in the sky, a full moon, stars shining brightly upon them. Darien grinned and reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out the red rose he had bought while Serena wasn't looking. Darien stopped for a moment, startling Serena, and wrapped the stem of the rose around one of her meatballs so that the bud was facing forward. Serena grinned when he was finished and hugged him. "Serena?" Darien asked as they embraced. "Hmm?" "Will you always love me?" he whispered to her quietly. Serena didn't look up, but didn't hesitate. "I will love you till the earth stops rotating, the sun stops shining, and until the end of time. Darien, I love you so much." "I love you, too." Touched by her words, Darien turned his head slightly so his lips were just inches away from hers. With a quick movement, Darien sealed his lips on to hers, and kissed his love with every once of passion inside of him. To be continued... *sighs in relief* Okay, that's two chapters down and god knows how many more to go! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I would really appreciate it if you e-mailed me and told me if you liked it or not! I haven't gotten too much e-mail saying how I've been doing lately and I really need it! *sniff* *sniff* Please? Oh and I wouldn't mind that when you answer the question you say something nice about my fic, too...that would make me feel so good! Stef-chan
