Dimensional Destinies, a crossover, by Sailor GlitterGirl, June, 2001 Not much to say, other than I think this story is doin' pretty good. Read on and enjoy! Sailor GlitterGirl _______________________ / \ ( DIMENSIONAL DESTINIES ) \_______________________/ Part Three: Lady Tranquility, aka Trance Rated: G By: Sailor GlitterGirl At: sailorglittergirl@sailormoon.com Last Time on Dimensional Destinies: Sniffing, Trance opened her mouth and spoke. "I'm going to say this outright." She said, looking mainly at the Princesses. "I'm Queem Beryl's sister." *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* "I'm Queen Beryl's sister." Trance stated. "Or rather, was." Trance didn't stop to look at the expressions of horror on the Scout's faces, and confusion on those of her friends. "We were on vacation in Elysian, when Beryl supposedly fell in love with Prince Endymion. When she found out that he loved you, Princess, and was engaged to you, she grew so...just so angry. To try and calm her I took her out to the woods near the mountains. When we got there we found a cave. She said she didn't want to go in, that for some reason she didn't like it, but I dared her to go in." Trance choked as she held back a sob. "And then she awoke Metallia, became her ward, and went on to destroy the peace and the Silver Millennium. That's what happened, isn't it?" Serenity said quietly, touching the girl's shoulder. Trance nodded miserably. "Metallia wanted to get rid of me when I barged in while she was in the middle of infesting Beryl." Trance explained, her tears subsiding. "But my sister... she wasn't all evil, she never was, just very vengeful and spoiled. She said she wouldn't let Metallia hurt me." "But at the same time she didn't want you trying to stop her, as she knew you would." Serenity said, her face thoughtful. "So she sent you to another dimension." Amy finished. Trance nodded, closing her eyes in misery. "So," Serenity placed a finger under Trance's chin, and lifted her face. "So you are the Lady Tranquility that vanished mysteriously over a thousand years ago in the Silver Millennium." "That would be me, your highness." Tranquility whispered. "We'd always wondered where you'd come from." Becka said quietly. "Why didn't you tell us?" "I couldn't; I knew you'd hate me." Trance cried. "I know you do now, but-" "Lady Tranquility of Earth," Serenity said firmly, standing and pulling Trance up with her. She took the girl's chin firmly into her hands and looked her into her eyes. "You will NOT speak of such nonsense. It is in no way, shape, or form your fault that Beryl became what she did. Her anger would have led her to it eventually, and if she hadn't become Metallia's pawn, someone else would have. If you want to blame someone, blame Metallia, or even me; I was Endymion's betrothed, I'm also the one who killed her in the end; but do NOT blame yourself. That is exactly what Metallia would have wanted. Do I make myself clear, madam?" "Very, your highness." Trance said quietly. She looked up at the princess with shinning eyes. "Thank you," She whispered, and threw herself into Serenity's arms. "Thank you!" She sobbed as Serenity held her. A glow surrounded the girls in the room, including Tranquility, and an invisible wind swirled around them, lifting their hair into the air, skirts swishing and twisting around them. With a slight flash, the dresses and jewelry and posh vanished in puffs of multi-colored smoke. When it all cleared, six normal girls -okay, semi-normal, as one had blue hair and another had purple skin- stood surrounded by plants in pots and metal containers. Looking at themselves, Mina laughed. "Looks like our clothes can't decide who we should to be." She chuckled, brushing off her white, yellow flower print peasant style shirt with short, short jean shorts. Her hair in it's normal red bow, with brown ankle boots on her feet. Raye took the scrunchy out of her long black tresses and shook her head, her long locks falling over her short red jumper dress over a purple turtle neck. Lita adjusted her green baseball cap, which matched her sleeveless pale green top with a hood, and frayed edged shorts with red and white tennis shoes. Amy smoothed the skirt of her knee length baby blue summer dress with a white belt, adjusting the pearl clips in her hair. Serena smiled as she brushed off her black, pleated skirt over shapely legs, a pink, sleeveless t-shirt with a swooped neckline revealing her penny sized star locket that Darien had given her, a smaller version of the pocket locket that was a symbol of their bond. Pink bows adorned each golden sphere of hair, her 'meatballs,' as they'd been dubbed. "Well, looks like we need another round of introductions," Serena said, smiling brightly. "Serena Tsukino, Captain Hunt." Serena said. "Lita Kino," Lita tipped her hat at Dylan and winked at Tere, who raised an eyebrow. "Minako Aino, also known as Mina Warren." Mina stated. "I used to live in England before I moved to Japan with my father, so I decided to get a Japanese name for convience," she explained. "Amy Anderson," Amy bobbed a tiny curtsey, as she was the only one with a long enough skirt to do so. "My father was from America, and my mother is Chinese." She, too, explained her non-Japanese sur-name name. "Raye Hino; I'm a *shinko at my Grandfather's temple." Raye said, finger combing her hair. (AN: * A shinko is a priestess in training. I think that's the word, anyways. Gomen if I'm wrong.) "Trance Melenari." Trance giggled. "Jeez, how many identities do you guys have?" Harper asked, hands on hips. Mina laughed. "I know; it does get kind of annoying." She said. "Don't worry; we haven't gone by our princess identities in literally thousands of years. Just call us by our civilian names." "I take it that you guys are from Japan?" Dylan said. "If I remember correctly, the capitol is Tokyo, right?" "Right; and that's where we're from," Raye said. "Now it's our turn. When searching the ship for my friends, I couldn't help but notice that you guys are the only ones aboard a ship that's the size of a small town. May I ask why that is?" Dylan looked at Becka, then Tere out of the corner of his eye. Sighing, he turned back to the girls. "All right. Fairs fair. You guys seem to be alright, so I'll explain." A rumbling stomach interrupted him as he opened his mouth to begin. Trance blushed, and Dylan smiled. "While we eat, that is." "Oooh!" Lita perked up. "I'll cook lunch! Or dinner, or whatever time it is." Harper glanced at a sort of watch on his wrist. "Actually, it's a little after breakfast time." He said. "BREAKFAST???" The girls -minus Amy and Raye- shrieked. "When we left it was around eight!" Mina exclaimed. "I didn't think we were trapped on Rubeous's ship for that long!" "No, longer." Serena said. "Rubeous held you guys for almost a whole day before I was able to finally conclude that there wasn't any other way to get you guys back than to accept Rubeous's challenge." "Baka," Raye muttered. "You shouldn't have put yourself in that danger. You could have been killed! If Rini hadn't managed to disrupt the G force capaciter when she did, you would have been a pancake!" "If I hadn't 'toughened up' as you're always telling me to do, YOU guys would have been globs of radioactive goo!" Serena shot back. "Well what about dragging Rini along?" Raye glared at Serena. "Bad enough you put yourself in danger, but you endanger a six year old!" "It wasn't MY fault the kid darted to close to the transporter beam! She-" "Looks like we all still have some explaining to do," Everyone was surprised to see that it was Tere that had spoken. He sighed and dropped his hands to his sides -as he'd had them crossed. "I would likke to see if this Jupiter Princess can cook as well as she can fight." He explained simply. Lita grinned devilishly. "I can cook better," She said, smirking. Becka raised an eyebrow. "Think you can beat Tere's Mongolian suflei?" She asked, smiling. "He's pretty good." "No prob," Mina said, walking over and placing an elbow on the taller girl's shoulder as she leaned on her, crossing one leg behind the other. "There has yet to be found a proffessional French gourmet chief that can beat Lita-chan's blueberry pancakes, cookies, stakes, sushi, you name it." "Hey, how about a cooking competetion?" Trance suggested, her peppy glow back on her face, and in her manner. "Yeah!" Serena cried, visions of sugar plumbs and cookies and cakes dancing through her head. "Captain?" Lita asked. Dylan smiled, and laughed. "Sure, why not?" He said. "Tere, why don't you show her the way. You two can fill each other in, and the rest of us will go to a more...comfortable setting and exchange stories." Tere nodded, and looked at Lita, whom was smiling. Mentally shaking himself, Tere jerked his head towards the door, signaling her to follow. Smiling even wider, she obeyed. "Hey, Lita, wait!" Mina suddenly called. "What?" Lita stopped and turned halfway to face the miscieviously grinning blonde. Mina -still smiling devilishly- walked over to Tere. She pressed a finger to his shoulder, testing the muscle. "Hmmm... Muscled..." she looked up at his eyes. "...Brown eyes..black hair...tall...somewhat quiet, but tough..." The others started smiling as well, horns growing from their scalps as they grinned devilishly, catching on to what Mina was doing. "Uh-huh...yeah...I noticed that Mina," Lita said slowly, suspicious. "So what's your point?" "Doesn't he...*remind* you of someone, Lita, darling?" Mina's eyes were dancing with mischief. Confusion clouded Lita's emerald green eyes, then realization donned on them. She turned around, and put her arms up against the wall, resting her forehead against the cool metel. "Mina, remimd me to cause you series bodily pain once we get home." Lita muttered. "Ah, come on, Leets," Serena drawled. "You never hesitated to say it before whem you spotted a cute guy." "'Say'what?" Tere asked, looking from the Jupiter girl to the blonde that seemed to hold Harper's interest. "It's tradition," Raye told him, smiling. "Honestly, Lita," she went on. "This is a one-time opportunity. Have you ever known us to TRY and get you to say it?" Lita pushed away from the wall and glared at her friends and comrades. "You guys are evil, you know that?" She said lowly. "Uh-huh." Mina, Serena, Raye, and even Trance nodded enthusiastically. "Come on, Lita-chan, just do it!" Serena goaded. Groaning and rolling her eyes, Lita finally sighed and turned to face a confused -but not showing it at all- Tere. "Fine, fine, fine," Lita muttered. Then, in a monotone voice, "He looks just like-" "No, no, no, no, Lita!" Mina said, exhasperated, like a tired movie director. "That's not how you always do it! Put some emotion into your voice, get that classic sappy, puppy love look in your eyes!" Grumbling and glaring, Lita looked up at Tere, pure embarrassment reddening her cheeks. Her face dropped her disgusted mask, and took on a guise of pure sappiness, her eyes sparkling with adoration, her cheeks now stained with a pink flush. "He looks just like my old boyfriend." She murmured, her voice dripping with romantic mush. All eight occupants of the room -minus Tere and Lita- burst into laughter, including Dylan, who had tears coming out of his eyes. Rolling her own eyes, Lita latched onto Tere's arm and dragged him from the room. The others, seeing their chefs leaving, managed to gather themselves and follow, Mina and Harper leaning on each other, and Raye and Serena laughing together. Tere led the way to the kitchen, and upon entering the huge room, her jaw dropped, her face a vision of pure bliss. "I'm in heaven..." She whispered. "Culinary heaven." More laughs insued, and Dylan motioned everyone to a large, very long metal table on the opposite side of the room as the cooking area. The Scouts and Andromeda's crew complied, and Lita and Tere headed for the kitchen. "Now, what do you want to know first?" Dylan asked. The girls look at each other, and Amy glanced at Lita across the room, who was spliting tasks with Tere. Lita glanced at the blue haired girl out of the corner of her eye, and shrugged an 'I don't particulariy care, as long as they don't lie and we get the whole story.' Amy nodded and looked at all the others. Under silent agreement, they decided that Amy would be doing the bulk of the questioning. "I think an overall summary would be a good way to start." The short girl asked sensibly. "Then we can ask in more detail later." Dylan nodded, "Sounds good," He said, and leanded forward, clasping his hands and resting them on the table, of which he sat at the head. "All right, it happened like this," (AN: I actually am going to retell the whole story, in as short amount of text as I can, for those of you who don't know what Andromeda is.) "All right, it happened like this," And Dylan launched into the story; even his own crew seemed fascinated by the way he told it. "Three hundred years ago, the known galaxy was at peace, bound by a orginazation called the CommonWealth. We were the patrols, the courts, watched the trade companies to ensure no cheating, settled disputes, ect. "Then, one of our allies, the Nitcheans, betrayed us. They launced an attack that was in itself not that large, but it was unexpected, and the Nitcheans are skilled warriors. It took them less than a year to completely destroy the CommonWealth, and the peace." He sighed, and a look of loss an sadness overcame him. "I was forced to fight my own best friend, who would have been my best MAN only a week later," He ignored the sudden, sympathetic looks and tears, and a slight gasp from the girls, the gasp from Serena as she began to hear the similarities to his story and to her own. Only she got a second chance to be with her beloved; he wouldn't. But Dylan continued, regardless. "During a particularily nasty battle, I had to order my original CommonWealth crew to abandon ship, in hopes that maybe one or two of them could escape." He shook his head. "That was when my first officer, by best friend and a Nitchean, had our fight. "Well, unknown to us we were being pulled towards a black hole, and we were caught in the event horizon." Amy's jaw dropped. "But...but that's impossible!" The girl genius exclaimed. "Oh, it's possible, babe, you'd better believe it." Harper told her. "It's what trapped Dylan and that other Nitchean dude in time for over three hundred years." Mina shuddered, and Harper found himself unconsciously reaching for her hand to comfort her. Mina smiled her appreciation and squeezed his hand in reply. "To continue," Dylan resumed his tale. "Three hundred years later, a Nightsrat (AN: I forget what they're really called; gomen! I know it's Nights-something, though.), discovered Andromeda, drifting. He didn't know about the event horizon, and simply thought that it was stuck in the gravitational pull of the black hole, but wasn't being sucked in. "So he enlisted the services of Captain Becka Valentine," He motioned to Becka, who nodded at everyone. "I was captain of my own ship," she explained. "But aboard Andromeda I'm second in command." "Becka, why don't you tell this part?" Dylan asked. "I think you were a bit more...awake than I was at the time." Becka smiled, and nodded. "Like Dylan said, the Nightsider (AN: Ha! I remembered it!) hired us to tow Andromeda out of the pull of the blackhole, wanting to use it for...stuff, you know, profits and such. "Anyway, when we pulled it away and time aboard the ship resumed, we boarded, not knowing that there was anyone alive on the ship. We started to rewrite the software so that we would know how to use it. But Harper here discovered Romie, the ships AI, and she kicked him out, locking him out of the systems. "Not long after, Dylan confronted us and basically told us if we didn't scram he'd kick our butts back to the Solar System -which is quite a ways away, just so you know. "We were gonna leave, but our oh-so-wo wonderful employer had a ace up his sleeve. He had hired a Nitchean," She pulled out that last word and looked directly at Tere, who was chopping celery for omlets. The man looked up, nodded, and then looked down at his task. Becka rolled her eyes and resumed, despite the raised eyebrows and questioning glances of the girls. "He hired a Nitchean and his band of bounty hunters/ assasins to come and help get rid of the 'pest problem.' "Well, Dylan, aside form being a pretty darn good fighter, also had Romie and a much better and a much more extensive knowledge of the ship on his side. "Eventually, we figured out that that rat that called himself a decent trader who had hired us was after the Nova bombs aboard the ship, not the ship itself, though he wanted that too. "Anyways, to shorten the story even more, we ended up tricking him and kicking him off the ship, but not after he fired the Nova bombs, momentarily transforming the black hole into a white hole." Amy and Raye shuddered, being the only one of the girls knowing that a white hole emintted almost as much destuctive power as the Silver Crystal itself. Not noticing, Becka continued. "But he had grabbed Harper, so now we were chasing him to rescue Harper, and to get my ship back, which he had hijacked. Once we got both back, we kicked him off the ship in a space pod, and Dylan here invited us to join his little band in a quest to restore the CommonWealth." "Why did you join up, hothead?" Lita asked, somewhat teasingly, of the Nitchean that was frying omlets beside her at the large stove while she fliped baccon. "I felt it time to work for myself." The dark man said simply. "But you're under Dylan's command," Mina pointed out. "Yeah, but if he wants to leave, he can," Raye countered. "And he won't have anything to loose, or have angry ex-employers after him." "Precisely." Tere said simply. "Alright," Dylan said, leaning forward again, resting his arms on the table. "Your turn. Who is this Rubeous you keep talking about, who is Rini, and how did you get here?" Again, silent communication seemed to be exchanged among the girls via glances and the eyes. Finally, Mina spoke up. "You know of our identies as the Sailor Senshi." The blonde girl girl spoke up, her playful demeanor dimming, being slightly replaced with the look and air of the leader she naturally was. "And as Sailor Senshi, but in the Silver Millennium and the present, our duties are to protect not only our Princess," she nodded at Serena, who smiled. "But everything threatened by evil as well. "It was only a year ago that we were able to defeat the one who destroyed the Silver Alliance so long ago, Queen Beryl. A few months after that, we managed to free the last two survivors of a race that had been plagued with evil, setting them free from their murderous ways. "Now, two weeks ago, a little girl named Rini -who has a frighteningly strong resemblence to Serena- dropped into Serena's lap; literally. Shortly after that, more youmas began appearing. We were holding our own, as usual, but we weren't winning, but we weren't loosing. We were stopping their attempts to steal energy, showing up at ever single spot and blowing them out of the water every time, "Then, one day, Sailor Moon -Serena- recieved new powers. Not long after, we all aquired new powers, one by one. With the arrival of our stronger attacks, we found out who our enemies were and what they were after, but that's a different story." "Anyways, to move this all along, Rini was looking for the Imperium Silver Moon Crystal, the Royal Moon Family's heirloom gem. When Rini discovered that a) Serena was Sailor Moon and b) took the Crystal, Rubeous -one of our enemies general, and the one that we are currently fighting with- discovered who Sailor Moon was. He conconcted a plan, and kidnapped us. Without all of us together, we're not nearly as pwerful as we are when we are a team. "From then on, though, I have no clue what went on." Mina shrugged, and looked at Serena. "Rena? Why don't you fill us in?" "Okay," Serena sighed, and gnawed lightly at her lip for a moment, then opened her mouth at continued the story. "After kidnapping the scouts," Serena said. "Rubeous challenged me, demanding that I give up Rini -We still don't know why they're after her- and the Silver Crystal, or he'd kill the Senshi. Naturally, I just couldn't let them be killed, but there was no way I was going to let them get their paws on Rini, either. "I accepted the challenge, but at the last moment, Rini ran up, telling me that it was her fault that the Senshi were in trouble, and she wanted to help. Before I could get her away, Rubeous sucked us up into his ship. "After that, my memories are hazy. Rubeous and I fought, the Senshi watching. Rini figured out that he was drawing his power from from a black crystal behind him. While he was attacking me, she ran to the crystal, managing to throw it out of alignment ever so slightly, enough to slingshot Rubeous's attacks back at him, freeing the Senshi. Together we attacked, all of us. "But before we could totally dust the creep, he activated the self destruct, cackling that we'd die along with him." Serena shook her head. "They never learn." Raye said, chuckling slightly. "Anyways, we combined our powers, and focused on one thing; getting home, therefore initiating our teleport. Aimes, I think this is where you take over." Amy nodded. "From what I gather," the small, blue haired girl began. "At the precise moment of our transportation, something altered our destination, and gave us a massive energy boost. Because of the amount of energy, the only thing that we could travel through and our energy not destroy us and everything around us was what youc all SlipStream, and what we call..." She glanced at her friends. "The Chronos Domain." Shrieks and gasps and dropped jaws were heard and seen from the girls. Oddly enough, the only one who didn't make a sound, was Serena. "Pluto." She said simply. Her voice vancant of all emotion. Amy nodded. "That's right. I believe someone with access to the powers of Time, the powers of Pluto, deliberately set it up so that we would end up here." She looked at Dylan. "Captain Hunt, it is my belief that it was no accident that the Sailor Senshi ended up on YOUR ship." "But why?" Raye mussed. "Why would we be needed here? I'm betting this isn't a joke; Puu never jokes, plus she knows that our own timeline is in danger. She would only send us elsewere if that someplace else was in more dire immediate danger than our own world was." "So in other words, expect a new enemy sometime soon," Mina said lowly. "Exactly," Amy confirmed. "Well, then," Lita spoke up for the first time in quite a while. "I guess that means only one thing." "What?" Serena asked. Lita acquired that insane, one of kind grin she wears only when she's looking forward to a battle. "It means that when whatever big bad boss comes our way, we do what we always do, we..." "KICK BUTT!" The girls -including Amy- all exclaimed together, smiling again. "But until then," Lita turned from the kitchen, carrying four trays. One balanced on each hand, and two others on her arms. Tere followed, carrying two trays balanced on his hands. "Alright!" Serena exclaimed, eyes lighting up like twin chistmas trees. "Food!" Laughter came, and soon they were all chatting simply, keeping the conversation light, leaving more detailed questions about this new threat for later. Sighing, Serena turned away from her chatting and laighing friends and looked out a window, quite a ways away, at the moon that orbited the planet, tears stining her eyes. She had dealt with the destruction of her kingdom and home long ago; why was it so hard to deal with again all of the sudden? What had brought about these knew, resurfacing memories? As if in answer to her question, Serena found her eyes being drawn to the tall, striking figure at the had of the table, chuckling and smiling as he talked with Raye, on his right. Serena narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. Captain Dylan? What did he have to do with anything? She'd never seen him before in her life! Had she? Serena shook her head, and tuned back into the conversation between the young man Harper and Mina. She smiled. She may be no Venusian, but she did know love when she saw it. It looked like her lookalike had finally found love. But despite the laughter and the growing friendships -and romance (AN: *wink*) there was no denying the heavy mist of fear and apprehension that hung over them all like a heavy curtain of dread, and it would not leave. Not anytime soon. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Andromeda's hazel eyes settled on the viewscreen, and a hazy photo of five slender, agile human girls appeared. Two blondes, a strong, angry looking brunette, a girl with natural looking short blue hair, and the last had long jet black hair with purple highlights. They were all wearing similar suits, save for color, that resembled sailor uniforms converted to swim suits. The exception were the elbow lenght gloves, forehead tiaras, and boots of different styles. Each seemed to be glowing a different color as they held hands in a circle, their hair bollowing around them like silk scarves. The one that was center screen and facing them with he eyes closed, a serene look on her face, seemed to be glowing the brightest, and her uniform was slightly different in subtle ways. She was the only one with hair ornaments decorating a...unique hairstyle, a brooch, or that glowed two colors, not one. Silver and bright pink. The second blonde was glowing a orange-gold, and her hair was just as long as the girl's next to her, with a red bow tied into her locks. The third was the raven haired young woman, glowing a fiery red, concentration etched into her features. The fourth, next to the black haird girl, with the short blue hair, radiated a brilliant, watery blue, and glowed with intelligence. On her right was the brunette, the traces of anger still lingering on her face. Strands of chocolate brown hair whipped her face as she concentrated. Amdromeda backed up the animated clip, going back to just before the one with the uniques haristyle, the girl that had been in Dylan's rooms, Serenity, began glowing. She froze the fram, enlarged it, and narrowed her organic eyes as she gazed at it. There was something familiar about her...something she hadn't noticed... Gnawing a lip, a human habit she'd acquired, she suddenly had an idea. Giving instuctions directly from her synthetic brain, the computer extracted the femine qualities of her looks, making her appear as she would were she male. Andromeda gasped as the computer finished its work. Gulping, she gave a final command to age the person in the picture ten years. Had she been genuinly human, she would have fainted. The older, male version of Serenity was nearly identicle to Captain Dylan Hunt. Calming her accelerated heart, Andromeda reached out with her internal sensors and scanned the girl Serenity, whom was in the dinning hall. Doing a deep scan of her DNA and filing it, she gave a mental command to the computer to compare the DNA strands to the captains. Agian, the results made her reel. If the computer readings were right, then Serenity...and Dylan... "Oh, lord..." Andromeda whispered. "How...how is it possible?" To Be Continued... I know, I know, super easy to figure that last part out, but at least I didn't go and just say it! Give a lil suspense. Well, you peoples getting into it, now? E-MAIL ME!!!!!!!!
