ArtMoney table for 
NHL:Eastside Hockey Manager 2005

This document assumes the user has installed and is familiar with the basic operations of the program ArtMoney (which is the copyrighted property of the ArtMoney Team, all rights reserved, support them if you like the program, and all that...)

Using the attatched table (EHM2005savegame.amt, to be placed in the ArtMoney tables folder), you'll be able to edit your game on the fly, and have the results show up in real time.

1) First, load your NHL:EHM savegame.  Then start up ArtMoney.

2) In ArtMoney, load the table into memory, and select the NHL:EHM process (SEARCH -> OBJECT -> PROCESS at the top, and the SELECT PROCESS box underneath it)

3) In EHM, select the player to edit, and open his profile.

4) Make sure, in game options, that height and weight are set to the metric system.

5) Take note of these four numbers, in order, from the player profile:  Workrate, handedness (right=0, left=1), height, weight.

6) Click search in ArtMoney.  Search for a sequence of four integers, click OK.  Then enter the four numbers and search.  You may at times return more than one result in the search pane.

7) IMPORTANT:  Next, scroll down through the table and click on Workrate, making sure it's highlighted.

8) Now, in the search pane, highlight the memory address of the returned result, and click (ALT+A).  You've loaded the player's attributes into the table.  If more than one search result was returned, just compare some other attributes on the visible portion of the table, it will be a simple matter to determine which search result is the desired player.  If needed, just highlight the memory address of the next search result, and click (ALT+A) again, repeat if necessary.
TIP:  You can almost assure not getting multiple search results by adding a fifth integer to the initial search:  the player's favorite number (often times it's his uniform number, or get the number from Neil Maynard's EHM pre-game editor).

9) You're all set now to edit all the attributes you can see in the table.  When finished, just save the table.  Then, in your EHM game, reload the player profile, and -voila- your changes are there.  Save your game to make these changes permanent.

MAKING SENSE OF PLAYER ATTRIBUTES

This information is not perfect.  I am not a coder.  I do not work for SI, and I am not Risto Remes...

There are three types of attributes in the table.  Some correspond directly to the numbers in game (like acceleration, aggression, or agility) and are the easiest to edit.  Just change the number to what you'd like.

Some others are tougher.  The attributes denoted by CAPITAL LETTERS UNDER DESCRIPTION are on a scale going to 255.  They change in-game, based on changes to the player's current ability attribute, and making a simple chart on these is not possible.  But look at it like this:  a 255 will make the attribute the maximum possible at any given current ability (So, if the CA is 200, and the attribute, say wristshot, is entered as 255, then the game will display a 20 for the player's wristshot.  Numbers below 255, all the way down to about 100 or so, will reduce the attribute on this same scale.  So a right winger with CA of 130 cannot have a wristshot above about 13-15 with this type of rating.  Use common sense and some trial and error--eventually it will get quite simple).

Now, if an attribute in CAPITAL LETTERS is a small number, from 0 to around 20-30 or so, then the attribute is also on a sliding scale, based on the current ability, but will display a higher attribute in-game than the 100-255 maximum in the right winger's example above.  This makes it possible for this same player, CA of 130, to have a wristshot well above 13-15.  Again, it's not an exact science, but patience and trial and error will make things quite easy.

On another note, the reputations are weird.  The attributes rep # correspond to the 1-200 values, but changing them seems to not affect the player's reputation in-game.  You have to change the reputation rating itself.  It's a scale of about 1-40, the highest numbers being "Stars", and a 1 would be an "unproven" player.



In conclusion, I hope these instructions will suffice.  I really am not the best at teaching, I'm better at doing...
