I, Altamos Starner, of the
County of Kosciusko in the
State of Indiana, being of sound
and disposing mind, memory
and understanding, realizing the
uncertainties of life and
the certainty of death, while in
possession of all my mental
faculties, do make, and publish
and declare this to be my
last will and testament in
manner and form following, to wit:
Item 1st: I direct that my Executor hereinafter named
shall pay all my debts, funeral
expenses and expenses of my
last sickness so soon after my
death as is expedient.
Item 2nd. I give, devise, and bequeath to my son,
William F. Starner, all the personal property of which I
may
die seized of every kind,
character and description, he,
however to be chargeable with
the payment of all my just
debts, funeral expenses and
expenses of my last sickness as
is provided in Item 1st of this
will.
Item 3rd. I give, devise and bequeath to my son
William
F. Starner my farm of eighty
five (85) acres more or less
located and being in the north
part of the south east quarter
(1/4) of section thirty one
(31), Township thirty four (34)
north, range seven (7) east, in
Kosciusko County, in the
State of Indiana, to have the
use, rents, profits,
occupancy and control of the
same for and during his natural
life, he to be chargeable with
the keeping up of taxes and
necessary repairs of said
premises. At his death I give,
devise and bequeath the fee simple of said real estate to my
two Grandchildren, Harry Starner
and Jesse Altamos Starner,
children of the said William F.
Starner.
Item 4th. I hereby nominate and appoint my son William
F. Starner, Executor of this my
last will and testament and
hereby direct that he shall not
be required to give bond for
the faithful execution of his
trust as such executor.
In witness whereof, I, Altamos Starner, the Testator,
have to this my last will and
testament set my hand and seal
this 7th day of November, 1907.
