Smells Like 'Cross #1
December 7, 2003

Click (name) for images by Chip Crail and Georgette Carpenter.

Twelve barriers in four sets, mud, dirt, gravel, grass, and a few feet of sidewalk. Race report is in the works. Primes for all classes, door prizes, and lunch afterward...all in all, great races and a great morning in the park.

Thanks again to everyone who helped setup, break down, organize, cook, marshal the course, and everything else. This event would absolutely not have happened without all of you.

Special thanks to all who raced, and those came out to support the series.

Next week: Sunday, December 14, 8 AM registration, 9 AM B/C/SS/W, 10 AM A, lunch, prizes, blood, sweat, tears.

12/14 Double points for singlespeed-class riders in opposite-gender lingerie. Fair warning: there are already three takers, including one new rider next week (and maybe the race organizer). Don't miss out on these points. Doubles in the next 3 races could very well decide the singlespeed series winner.

Again, huge thanks to everyone.

ps. Next week will be longer, faster, slower, and more interesting. Primes and door prizes are scheduled, and we're doing a nice-weather dance. Much was learned this week and will be applied on the course next week. Suggestions are more than welcome.
