The Diplomat Wars

Somewhere in the vast universe of the 41st millennia, in some long forgotten corner of space, there lies a lost sector. Here, cut off from the rest of the empire of man, several Space Marine empires are locked in an epic struggle for power and dominance. Cut of from the rest of mankind for more than a few thousand years, the holy emperor of man is nothing more then a myth and the stuff of legions; in this sector the Space Marines are living gods, in command of vast armies of vassals, jealously guarding their own little empires, and taking any opportunity to expand their power.

Lying in the neutral zones of the three main empires of the Lost Sector, this system has barely been surveyed. Its native population, located on two planets, ranges in technology from bronze tools to just pre-gunpowder. There are humans, two abhumans types, orks and even a few primitive elder (though often thought of as abhumans in this sector). Its mineral wealth is unknown. Its location in the neutral zone made it an ideal location for the three empires to renegotiate the 50 year old ceasefire.
The last 50 years have been relatively calm, with only a few border disputes here and there. It was widely thought that these negotiations might even bring peace, but that was all lost when all the diplomats disappeared in a bright noiseless flash. The escorting forces all blamed the others for treachery and the ceasefire soon broke down; thus, a new war had started.
