| Moseby One of the true astronomical wonders, Moseby is pleasantly tropical and subtropical across its islands. Do to unusual configuration, over half of the dry land on the planet is beaches, and an unsurprisingly large number of resort hotels have sprung up to take advantage of this vacation spot. This planet also is the home to the subsystems largest publishing house. Kelis Unlike most hive worlds, the cities of Kelis had to spread out, rather than up, do to unfavorable natural conditions. Winds commonly reach a deadly level on Kelis, often causing the frequent seismic disturbances to pale in comparison. Kelis construction yards produced most of the armored vehicles in use in the subsector Geri Though not as prolific a producer as Kelis, Geri still holds the market for small arms production throughout the subsector. Tovar Known as the gateway to the Herkamer subsector, Tovar is the home of the Ecclesiarchy. Amongst the pillars and temples to the Emperors praise will be found the most powerful and devout men in this region. Madut A barren, desolate planet, Madut is suspected of hiding great mineral wealth beneath the sands. A survey team has set up base camp and is beginning their investigation. Pius Pius is a small, warm planet known across the subsector for its many stunningly beautiful gardens. Pius is owned and controlled by the Ecclesiarchy and has been set aside as a monastery and retreat. The four other planets in the system are airless, but are being mined for the high amount of silver they contain. Ryland Ryland has the pleasure to be one of the most stable planets in the subsector, creating ideal conditions for the large automated farms that cover its surface. Orzoi Though not as productive as Ryland, Orzoi yields excellent rice crops all year round. Portex A damned planet, Portex has been cut off from the rest of the subsector until quite recently, when the warp storms subsided. While investigating the planet, surveyors found a high concentration of heavy metals, and Portex is now slated for heavy mining. Paaga Large tracks of prairie dominate Paaga, broken only by huge wheat processing plants and the occasional hut of the nomadic tenders of this farm planet. XR 1892C This system has been declared a high danger zone, and is off limits to all vessels of less than Inquisitor status. ID 828 Known as the Hell Cauldron, this system contains numerous asteroid belts and rogue asteroids orbiting a small red dwarf. Salo Chlorine fog, acid rain, and the unpleasant local fauna make this a very unpleasant place to live. If it wasnt for the rare gasses that can easily be distilled to make settlers rich, there would be no one in this system at all. Ing The surface of Ing is flooded 87.8% of the surface of this planet is fresh, potable water. Immense aqua harvesters and fish farms dot these mild oceans. ID 289 Two large gas giants dominate this system. There has been several failed project submissions for mining these gasses, but Salos success has prevented any serious efforts. Shaft Though relatively cool, this planet suffers anomalous volcanic activity. An unusual form of life has developed on this planet huge worms that live just under the surface of the planet, but require the extreme heat and pressure of the mantle barrier to gestate their larva. Once per cycle, the worms dig down to just above the mantle and lay their eggs. Until the eggs gestate, they keep the pressure fairly even. As they return to the surface with their young, the lave follows, often erupting to the surface violently. . |

+++++++++ The Herkamer sub sector is the hub of the Paradise sector. Having the only known warp gate out of the sector means that all shipping must come through this sub sector (this is one thing that the cartel families are quite happy about). It also has two of the most populated and prosperous systems in the sector. Herkamer is also home to the sector naval base, the House of Representatives, and The Corporate Cartels. The Cartels have been the dominating power in the Sector, but resent changes in the Senate and a rash of rebellions and pirate raids has some people wondering how long there power will last. Though they have seen rough spots in the past, it is no secret that some of the families do not get along well, and previously this has lead to open warfare between the Cartel families, but when threatened from the outside, they will often set their differences aside to preserve their overall power. |
