I thought I would list the stuff I have done to the car in the few years I have had it. I am not sure if I want to put a dollar total on this.

7/20/05 Current Status: Not running (and its killing me)
Major oil leak at head gasket- lower timing cover area, and now dripping coolant from the water pump. At this point, it is parked until fall 05 when the motor is coming out for a freshening. Hone, rings, head work and hopefully not much else will be needed. If something major is found while the motor is out, who knows what will go back in there.

Not enough time now to get in to it, so it will have to wait.

  2. Oxygen injector plugs (stops vw-chirping sound on smog cars)
  3. Gary Boone EI conversion (worth every penny)
  4. Volvo brake swap
  5. Rebuilt carbs (Keith's Roadster Ranch)
  6. Replaced wire harness from parts car
  7. Move alternator to "cool side"
  8. Replace moved alternator with GM unit. Write up on 311s.org and on this site too.
  9. Gas Tank Renu
  10. Truck bed liner interior (carpet was bad)
  11. Late model steering conversion
  12. Idler rebuild
  13. Modern fuel filter
  14. Roll bar
  15. Upper-A-arm rebuild
  16. Lower ball joints replaced with low mileage used ones

  18. Clutch replacement
  19. New clutch master cylinder
  20. Rebuilt clutch slave cylinder
  21. Rebuilt brake master cylinder
  22. El-cheapo Grant steering wheel (Grant adatptor # 4581)
  23. Re-cored heater core
  24. Dist recurve kit (Pre-EI conversion)
  25. Lowered front springs, & cut bump stops
  26. Various hoses & gaskets
  27. Miata seats!
  28. Replaced tach cable oil seal and solved 60% of my leak problem.
  29. 195/60/14 Falken Ziex on 280ZX turbo rims
  30. I washed it once too
That is it if I can remember correctly.
