The Plot Holes of Sailormoon Eternal
I bet most of you are wondering why I'd make something like this. Well, the reason is that I'm a nitpicker, even when it comes to my own stuff ^_^ Plus, what if some person who doesn't know a whole bunch about the Japanese version reads my fic, and assumes that all of it is true to the series? I try to be as accurate as possible, but even I've made some mistakes. Some of them are purposeful, some of them were made out of ignorance. Here are the plot holes that I've caught so far, and I'll add if they were intentional or if I just did it because I didn't know:
1) Haruka and Michiru
are going to Juuban High School. This happens in the manga, yes, but not
in the anime, and that's what Eternal is based on. However, this was more
or less intentional; I like to mix the anime and the manga ^_~
2) In Sailor
Stars, Galaxia broke Eternal Sailormoon's Moon Power Tier, Sailorpluto's
Garnet Rod, Sailorsaturn's Silence Glaive (I think . . . it didn't look
like it'd gotten broken), and Sailoruranus' Space Sword (again, I think;
to me, it just looked like it'd gotten thrown out of her hands). In Eternal,
they're all back. I did that because I didn't know, but also because it
would be impossible to have Pluto and Saturn around without their weapons,
and they just happen to be my favorites among the Sailor Team. ^_^
3) Fighter Venus
has Sailor V's crescent compact. I tried to cover this up later on by saying
that, since Venus was no longer using it, it went to Fighter Venus so he
could make use of it. Still, that was an afterthought, so it still counts
as a plot hole.
4) Hekate's name
is not spelled correctly; the correct spelling of that Goddess' name is
Hecate. The reason I spell it that way is because I like that spelling
better. If I have offended any Wiccans or Pagans or any other such people,
gomen nasai ^_^ (This was pointed out to me by my friend Dark Messiah/Sailorstaruranus,
whom is Pagan.)
5) This isn't really
a plot hole, but I feel I should point this out anyway: Uranus, Neptune,
and Pluto's Eternal attacks are all taken from the manga. Uranus and Neptune's
attacks are their attacks when they turn Star, and Pluto's attack is her
talisman attack. I told a friend of mine about this, and she was surprised;
she thought the attacks were all original. So, I figured I should add that.
(Everyone else's attacks are original, though, plus Pluto's second Eternal
attack, Chaotic Time Stream.) I did this purposely, of course.
6) Speaking of stuff
taken from the manga, the Sailor Senshi's Eternal forms are more or less
identical to their Sailor Star forms from the manga. I also did this purposely,
mainly because . . . um . . . I forget why, other than I was too lazy to
create something more original. I think it was because I just like to recycle
stuff from the manga because I think it's too big of a shame that it was
left out of the anime ^.^;;
7) In episode three,
Saturn doesn't show up. However, Zoisite and Chibiusa take news of Haruka's
capture straight to Michiru's house-- and Michiru, Haruka, Setsuna, and
Hotaru all live together in the same house. I originally thought that Hotaru
was still living with Prof. Tomoe at the end of Stars, and that Haruka
and Michiru lived in an apartment together at the time; however, I recently
saw the first eight episodes of Stars subtitled, and upon re-reading episode
three, I realized that this wasn't so. My bad . . . -_-
That's all I can pick out for now. Ja~ne! (*waves goodbye*)
