Dearest members of the Stellan family, It warms the heart each time Stellans in different parts of the world get together to remember Stella Maris College and the times spent gaining a Christian education here. It is most fulfilling as school administrators, teachers and FMM sisters see our former students, now adults and professionals in their chosen careers, return as alumnae. We see how each alumna has become the person she is, whether as a homemaker, career professional, religious person. We are happy that each time we send out a new set of SMC graduates into the world, we know we are doing so to make it a better place. We are so proud of you, alumnae. On September 23, 2004, here in school, we launched the pre-event celebration of the golden year of our beloved Stella Maris College with a Holy Mass, a tribute to our Blessed Mother through floral and candle offerings, and student activities attended by our two visiting FMM General Councilors from Rome. On October 2, 2004, alumnae homecoming day, we will be hosting a gathering-meeting of FMM sisters here at our school grounds. Dear Stellans, now alumnae, please continue to live your lives in the way that Mary, the Star of the Sea, would. That we serve others with simplicity and sincerity is a way of life that must ring pure and clear in our lives. Thank you for remembering Stella Maris College and returning to help the school in ways that mean a lot to us. Please continue supporting and uniting behind the Stella Maris College Alumnae Association., Inc. Welcome back, Stellans. Let us thank God for his many blessings and continue to sail through life with Mary, Star of the Sea, as our guide. God bless you and your families always!
