Shawn Michael Brewer graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Directing at Cal State Long Beach. He is currently the Resident Director for Pacific Art Theatre. He has also been a part of the annual Director’s Festival at Fullerton College every year since June 2000 and has received “Best of the Festival” honors three times among student, faculty, alumni, and local theater directors. The most recent honors were given to Love Treats, an experimental piece conceived and co-written by Shawn. He has also written an original show, Past Presence, that was self-directed and produced by the Resident Theatre Company. He has enjoyed working as co-Director for the 2002 Fullerton College High School Theater Festival, the largest festival of its kind in southern California. He has been the Resident Sound and Lighting Designer at Biola University for all productions since Autumn 2003 and freelances as a sound designer for Cal State Long Beach, Fullerton College, Whittier Community Players, and he is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. |
