General:
The old WR strat was simple enough, just finish the level as fast as you can. It was later discovered that you could actually hop over that gap in the beginning, saving you about five seconds. Now, a lot of people (myself included) think that there is a super shortcut on this floor that will allow you to finish in less than 10 seconds. Maybe you could be the person to discover that strat!

I want a consistent finish!
When you first play this level, it will probably seem near impossible. But, if you practice it long enough, you will have no trouble with it. Hold straight up the first hill. When you get to the platform up top, reduce your speed and turn to the left. Turn around and line yourself up with the hill. Once you are lined up, go full speed up it. Now line yourself up with the steps going downhill and go straight down those. Make sure you don't go too fast, try to stay at a reasonable speed. Now you can approach the checkerboard two ways. You can line yourself up with one of the bananas and just speed over it. Or, you can go across it slowly one square at a time. I prefer the second method because if you speed across it sometimes you will get a weird bounce and fall out. Now, take the wire at a speed that is comfortable for you and finish the level.

I want a good score!
Follow the record strat, just don't take the wire as fast. I'm gonna say a good score is 8500, even though that is very easy to get.

I want the record!
Boost left, straighten out, and go up the hill. Right before the clock hits 57 seconds, turn around and go back down the hill. Now, a bit before you approach the part where the hill braches out, hold upleft, and hit yourself off the platform at the bottom. If you do this right, you will get hit over to the left, landing a bit before the checkerboard. This is not easy at first and takes a bit of practice to do consistently. Now, when you get hit over, you want to make sure that you pick up a banana. 80% of the time, you will be hit over in the direction of one of the two bananas, and if this happens just roll over the checkerboard and pick it up. But, if you are unlucky, you will be hit over towards the middle of the checkerboard. If this happens, you are pretty much screwed and there's not really anything you can do. After you have hopped over the checkerboard and have picked up a banana, the fun part comes: wire balancing. This wire is very easy to balance on while going full speed. You want to approach the first turn going moderately fast. Experiment a bit to find out the right speed for you. Depending on how fast you are going, you want to start out holding either upleft or backleft. On my 8892, I started out holding upleft, but I am pretty sure on Packattack's 9080, he started out holding backleft. It all depends on how much speed you have after going over the checkerboard. Either way, you want to alternate between upleft and backleft and make the adjustments you need to stay on the wire while going fast. For the second turn, you should be able to hold backright for the whole thing and do it very cleanly, but if you find yourself drifting too far towards the inside of the turn, hold upright, then switch to backright again. Now you will be on a straight part of the wire. You want to gain some speed here, but not too much or else you will fall out on the next turn. Do the third turn the same as before, hold backleft and if you find youself drifting too much, hold upleft for a bit then backleft again. Now, the last turn can be really annoying. I've had two would-be 9000 runs ruined by this turn. If you approach this turn going too fast, which is very easy to do, you're going to drift to the outside of the turn and you'll hit up off the edge of the goal platform, losing about a second. This is extremely annoying, and the only way to prevent it is to watch your speed after the third turn. For the fourth turn, if you have the right amount of speed, you should be able to hold backright and get through the whole turn this way. Then just roll in the goal for a sweet score. Riding that wire so fast may sound hard, but with a bit of training, it becomes very easy.

Current Record: 9080 (Packattack)
Finish: 44.90
Bananas: 1
