General:
NOTE: This strategy was written by hellsbells, thanks for that. I didn't do any editing, mainly because I didn't know of these strats (I got my 12430 the hard way;). Erm, here we go:
Relatively straight forward in normal mode, this one is tricky to get a good score in. If you get the strat right though, it looks smart. There are two ways of doing it, although I managed a weird amalgamation of the two that Ill refer to at the end.
I want to finish consistently!
Follow the path in the direction of the turn, so right at the beginning and weave in a slalom fashion along the path. Skip from one to another when the cogs converge. At the end, wait on the end of the arrow to make sure and youll get in no probs.
I want a good score!
For a decent score, youre looking at 12500 Id say. Go left at the beginning and run round the first and second cogs, collecting the 2 bunches and then the single banana. Now, where the gears meet you can use the gap to flick you up and forwards. If youre lucky youll get a couple of nicely spaced out bounces and into the goal.
I want the record!
This is tricky. You want to start out in the same way as with the good score. However, instead of using the gap on the right to bounce, youll need to go over to the left and then swirl around the inside left part of the third cog. You should fly out and land in the inside left part of the fourth cog. Again, fly out and youll get shot along the final platform, collecting the banana on the way.
As for my method, its no WR but I did miss the first single banana, like the idiot I am. I did the jump where the gears meet, landed on the inside of the fourth cog on the right, got swirled, hit the edge of the final platform on the near side and flew into the goal, collecting the banana. I got 12640, having missed the first banana and going round the first couple of cogs at a fairly pedestrian rate, so Id say this method has potential. However, I was lucky to get such perfect bounces so it may be tough to repeat.
