BEGINNER 7
General:
B7 is an interesting level that measures your turning skills. The record has been over 11400 for as long as I know, and Packattack has dominated this floor from the beginning. I briefly had the record with 11600, but Packattack has 11606 now.
I want a consistent finish!
You must really suck if you can't finish this consistently. Stay away from edges, that's the only threat I can think of.
I want a good score!
I define a good score as over 11400, even though that is incredibly easy. Refer to the record strat, the main difficulty is the banana after the goal, as I've had 11506 without that banana. 11400 should take you no longer than 5 minutes to get.
I want the record!
Boost right, slightly touch the right edge, pull over to the left
again. While going up left, collect the two bananas that are located at the right end of the level. Now the interesting part: Directly behind the second banana, there is a wall. You need to crash into the wall at full speed, and if you�re lucky, this will bounce you over to the left at high speed. It happens often enough, maybe 1 in 5 tries (not sure, but often enough anyway). Now you need to roll to the very left of the floor, slow down a bit, pick up the lower banana, slightly hit the left edge, pick up the upper banana, hit the wall behind that and go over to the right at high speed. You can�t really hit that wall like the one before because you would jump over. It�s more like doing a semi-circle on which you collect 2 bananas.
Roll over to the right, slow down when you�re right before the bunch, go up collecting the bunch and move over to the left. You want to be near the upper end of the top platform because otherwise you can�t make it into the goal at high speed. Roll into the goal as fast as possible, and try to slightly hit the right inner side of the goal. If you�re fast enough, you will collect the banana after the goal. The WR is 15 bananas and a 50.53 finish.
It is VERY easy to do a low 50 finish, so that will give you 11400 even if you miss the final banana.
