ADVANCED 26

General:
I used to hate this stage like no other until today (June 29), when I
found
out how it works. If you can master this
one, youll master E28 too. The basic trick for good scores is that you
want
to fall down as early as possible.
I want a consistent finish!
Choice 1: Follow the regular path, i.e. around the spiral. At the end (before the
goal) the path will widen. Now you can either
head straight into the goal, or, as the path widens, hold up-left and
roll
over (i.e. left of) the goal to the banana
bunch. Nothing can happen to you since there is a wall to protect you.
Choice 2: Hold forward (no boosting) until the timer hits 56 seconds, then head off the left side of the platform directly into the goal. With a little practice you can do this every time.
I want a good score!
Ill give you the strat I used up to today, but since the WR strat
isnt
very hard you may want to try that one instead.
12220 is your minimum goal, but with this strat you cant do much
better
anyway. Hold forward at the beginning,
at low 58 pull over to the left and jump down, bounce once before the
path
widens, hold up-right and bounce or
roll into the goal, getting the bunch after that.
I want the record!
Note that while the whole thing is one big spiral, it looks like there
were
3 seperate rings from where you start. For
the good score I mentioned above, you fall down and hit the 3rd of
those
"rings," the one before the goal. For the
record, you hit the 2nd first, then the 3rd. Also note that the
platform you
start on is 4 tiles wide.
Boost left about 1 tile, then right about 1 1/2 tiles (1/2 tile right
of
the middle), then left again and down. Now you
must try to hit the top edge of this 2nd "ring", and shortly before you
hit
it hold up-right. If done correctly (it doesnt
work too often, but I can do it about once per minute), youll get hit
forward, bounce once before the path widens
(on the 3rd "ring") and roll into the goal, picking up the bunch after
the
goal.
Current Record: 12286
