SmashTheButton Repair Agreement / Disclosure

 

All repairs by SmashTheButton will have a 30-Day warranty on work done to a console.  This includes the installation of parts to the system and any parts themselves.  All parts replaced will be listed on an invoice and warranty is not included for parts not replaced.  SmashTheButton will cover the costs of returning/reshipping a system to them as well as repairs for replaced parts that fail after replaced and returned to the customer initially.  Note that this is only valid within the first 30 days after the console has left SmashTheButton.

 

SmashTheButton will contact you once the problem(s) are diagnosed and give a rough breakdown of the costs of parts (if needed.)  From this point, you can choose to a) have the system repaired, b) sell the system to us, or c) have us ship it back to you.  If you choose to sell the system to us, the base repair fee will be waived and we offer you an amount comparable to what a retailer might give you in store credit.  We also reserve the right to refuse to purchase your system due to any reason (more than likely we already have the parts in stock that we need off aforementioned unit.)

 

PS2 repairs wait times will generally be short.  We at SmashTheButton have contact with numerous parts distributors and will choose the best solution for both you and us.  In some cases, you may be contacted concerning pricing matters for parts that we can obtain due to shipping costs and how fast you’d like your system back.  We understand how important a system is at SmashTheButton because we are gamers just like you.

 

XBOX repairs wait times will generally be short.  We at SmashTheButton have contact with numerous parts distributors and will choose the best solution for both you and us.  In some cases, you may be contacted concerning pricing matters for parts that we can obtain due to shipping costs and how fast you’d like your system back.  We understand how important a system is at SmashTheButton because we are gamers just like you.

 

Other System repairs follow the same rules as the PS2 and XBOX repairs.  Please note that repairs to other systems that are not current may take longer to repair due to increased wait time for parts.  This is something that SmashTheButton cannot control.  SmashTheButton will however attempt to retrieve parts as quickly as possible.

 

All systems are tested upon arrival.  This document must be signed and included with your system when sent to SmashTheButton.  If this document is not signed or not included, SmashTheButton will not perform any work until a completed copy of this document is received.  Returns of systems that are received without a completed copy of this document will be charged a handling fee of $15.00.
