SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE MASTERS ARE HERE!!!
                                 LESSON THREE: BATTLE STRATEGIES

Getting tired o being pummel by your opponents? can't seen to beat high level computer opponents? Well if thats the case, then this lesson will teach good strategies.

First thing you need to know its that no matter what kind of opponent you are facing, can be either human or CPU each caracther has his or her weaknesses. This weaknesses can vary among the following elements:

RECOVER ABILITY: This means how long will take your opponent to come back to the arena and how much space will he or she will cover while recovering.
WEIGHT:
Simple, How much does your opponents weight.
SPEED:
How fast your opponents is.

Depending among this three elements is how you can determine your opponents strenghts and weaknesses. let me give you a example:

There is a battle between you and Link.(ANY STAGE)
Link has lots of weapons like swords, bombs, a bow and arrows etc.. this means that link strenghts are his weapons, therefore
WEIGHT is what keeps him prettly heavy and hard to throw out of the stage with regular attacks. Now since WEIGHT is his strenght, his  weaknesses is RECOVER ABILITY if link get thrown out of the stage(average distance) his WEIGHT will bring him down a little bit faster than other characters, which means that he doesn't have very good jumps because he is heavy. So that means that if you throw link up there are good chances that he will come back the stage if his percentage is average, however, if you throw him side ways and he tries to come back  using his jumps and up "B" attack and when he is close you smash him out again here are good chances he will not have enough power to come back because of his WEIGHT.

Bellow you can read how characters are affected depending on his strenghts.

WEIGHT will affect your RECOVER ABILITY because of how heavy you are
SPEED will affect your WEIGHT, meaning that if you can be thrown easily
RECOVER ABILITY will affect yourWEIGHT meaning that you can be thrown easily

                                                 MORE HELP?

Well that pretty much how the battle works, clear that is that most of the caracthers have more than one strenght mean that there are different ways to find out your opponents weaknesses, but this gives you an idea of how to find out your opponents weaknesses.
You still can't figure out your opponents weaknesses? no problem just E-mail me.
