The Smashed Crabs.

We are a highly entertaining and professional rock and roll covers band,
playing popular dance music from the 60's to the latest hits.
The Smashed Crabs band has gained extensive experience both in Australia
and overseas, now mainly playing around Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

We are an excellent LIVE band with an emphasis on making
sure the audience have a great night

Our song list includes artists such as :
Santana, Joe Cocker, Bryan Adams, Paul Kelly,
Split Endz, Robert Palmer, Pink Floyd, The Blues Brothers,
Van Morrison, Blink 182, Fleetwood Mac,
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Eagle Eye cherry.

We are able to play small, medium or large venues
any day of the week, as well as special occasions.


Background

The band has been together for 2 years, evolving from a popular hard working
duo called Absolute Zero with Warren Divola and Adrian Fuller working in the
Hunter and Central Coast areas. Expanding to a four piece band
with the inclusion of Brad Payton and Jamie MacDonald.
Brad came from Airlie Beach, Qld working as a Bass player
around the Islands.
Jamie had been playing in London for the previous 4 years
working with an all originals Band.
When Adrian had to leave the band because of other
committments, a replacement was found.
Matthew Gourdry, became the newest member. A top instrumentalist who brought
along his keyboard. Matthew had been playing with a band in Germany and
since his return to Australia was drummer for 'The Australian Beatles' band.
The Smashed Crabs have gained a solid reputation of delivering professional
entertainment and stage presence.

The Crabs have been playing the South Newcastle Scene. You can
catch us either at the Caves Beachside Hotel or the Town Hall Hotel
at least once a month, but you will see us around Cessnock, Sydney
or Newcastle. We never venture too far from the coast for too long.

Rarely do we use musical Agents as most of our work comes
from repeat bookings, but we are flexible and can and do
use Agents.
