I don't have the previous episode on hand. But what happened was:
Amy falls in river.
Amy goes over waterfall.
Amy's dead...no she's not.
Amy's held captive by a giant ape.

Episode 9- Ape Escape
"Right, so Amy and some giant ape are down there. Thus, we have to get down
there. But...we can't jump down the waterfall...right?" Yoshi mentions.
*There's another path around here somewhere, right Tails?* Syaoran wonders.
*...Tails?*
"Piiii chu pi pi pi chu! (He jumped down the waterfall!)" Pichu comments
worriedly as Tails dissapears into the mist.
Zelda sighs. "Guess there's no waiting for him."
Luigi looks around. "Well...I-a don't SEE-a another-a path...so is jumping-a
the only option?"
Suddenly, the villains' ship soars up behind them. Robotnik's voice shouts,
"Goodbye, losers!" as a laser shoots out of the ship, barely missing them.
There is laughter as the ship escapes while the ground bursts into flames
behind them, hemming them in.
"I guess there's no choice!" Yoshi shouts. "JUMP!" The group hops down the
waterfall.
"Wait-a!" Luigi shouts. He takes one look behind him at the raging fire,
closes his eyes, and jumps, screaming all the way.

Eventually, everyone lands in a heap at the bottom of the waterfall, on a
landmass made of logs.
"Jiggly puff puff jig. (Gee, you thought that would've hurt...)" Jigglypuff
says dryly.
Zelda restrains herself, gritting her teeth. "I...was the only one...to not
be able to...not slow my fall, huh?" she says, rubbing her leg as everyone
else lands unharmed.
*Can you still walk?*
"Yeah..."
*Then you'll be fine.* Syaoran walks away nonchalantly.
Zelda slowly stands up. "Grr...anyway, now to get to business-"
Right on cue, Amy's scream pierces the air, bringing all attention toward
her, and a giant Donkey Kong.
"Oh-a boy..." Luigi quakes in his boots, staring at Donkey Kong.
"There's no way we can beat him..." Tails says, facing the truth, "...so
let's just grab Amy and get out."
"How do we do that?" Yoshi asks. Tails smiles and motions the group together,
as they form a plan.

Luigi, still shaking, walks up to DK. He gulps, closes his eyes, and yells
at the top of his lungs, "HEY-A! FATSO! OVER HERE-A!"
Donkey Kong grunts, and turns around to face Luigi, who opens and closes
his mouth soundlessly. He roars. Luigi screams, but stands put, mustering
up every inch of courage.
DK, angered at Luigi's refusal to run, places Amy down in a cage and charges
after him, as Luigi yelps even louder, and runs for his life.
"Perfect!" Tails sneaks up to the cage where Amy is in.
"Tails!" Amy whispers. "Nice work! But..."
"Don't worry, I'll get you out." he reassures while melting the metal bars
with his handy-dandy welder he normally uses to build robots. Eventually,
the metal turns to nothing, and Amy jumps out and tackles/hugs Tails, who
immediately faints. Amy looks confused.
"Tails? Do you have a fever or something? You're red all over and stuff."
Syaoran walks over and laughs. *You'll find out soon enough...*
"Huh?"
The mission successful, the group exits out of Kongo Jungle, Donkey Kong
in close pursuit, and enters the warp to Hyrule, leaving DK behind as Luigi
barely reaches the warp in time.
"Why did I-a have-a to draw-a the short-a stick?!"
