| *How did we get in undetected?* Syaoran looks around, at tens of security devices. "Uh-uh. I'm not letting you go in there alone, man." Tails blocks his path. *Come on. I already told you that I was flying solo.* "Intruder in corridor 14. Intruder in corridor 14. Deploying security units. Intruder in corridor 14..." a robotic voice blares. "Intruder in corridor 30. Intruder in corridor 30..." Bowser glares icily at Sakura. "Any last words, girl?" "In fact, get out of the way. Let's get this over with." he snarls, slowly advancing on Sakura. And then the predictable, and the unpredicable occurs... Doors on opposite ends of the room slam open, and two voices, as one, shout out *Not so fast!!* Ganondorf, without turning, raises the knife and responds, "For whom?" Crash. Shouts. Scream. *SAKURA!!* Smash Bros. X 3-Part Special Episode 15: Sakura's Plight Final Part Syaoran and the other, still mysterious, person freeze in fear, appearing they are too late. Ganondorf shows a look of disgust. Bowser roars with laughter and Robotnik facepalms. "You missed, you idiot!" Mewtwo groans. "Only by a few inches!" Ganondorf tries to not look too dumb. Sakura gapes at the other intruder. *E-Eriol?* The 'mysterious person' is finally revealed, and lo and behold, it's Eriol, seemingly back from the dead. Sakura fumbles for words. *But, but, you're supposed to be...* *Dead.* Eriol nods, solemn. *I know. But, a fall out a glass window three stories up doesn't kill Clow Reed, does it?* Robotnik, still facepalming, is heard to mutter, "That would only make sense that it would..." As both the villains and the victims are stuck in their stunned state, Syaoran seizes the opportunity and dashes toward Sakura, sword out. And then, the room springs back to life. "No you don't!" Ganondorf is the first to react, and blocks Sakura, pulling out his sword. "First you have to get past me. Syaoran, suprised, attempts to act cool. *A-as you wish.* Ganon rushes toward Syaoran, and the swordfight is on... Sakura glances back and forth at the two dueling in a somewhat-epic battle. They are clearly fighting fiercely, but Syaoran appears to have the mental edge, with more at stake. Still, it is evenly matched, as every slice, every parry, every blow is crucial. Seeing another open spot, Eriol then attempts to sneak by the two and rescue Sakura himself. After all, it is the common goal. But, of course, it is never that easy. Mewtwo glides over to Eriol. "And you think we would just let you take her, mortal?" *And who are you calling a mortal?* Eriol smirks, and draws his staff. Another battle, this time of magic, ensues... Sakura cringes as Syaoran fails to shield himself and gets a deep gash on his arm as a reward. Ganondorf recklessly goes for the victory with a hurried, clumsy blow. Syaoran retorts gracefully, giving Ganondorf a matching injury. The two, however, show no sign of pain, and continue on as nothing happened. "Watch the machinery!" Robotnik ducks for cover as a flurry of magical blasts flood the room, practically hitting everywhere BUT their intended location. Mewtwo floats back and forth effortlessly dodging Eriol's attacks, however, the same cannot be said for our supposed hero, who is all over the place, ducking, jumping, rolling, doing everything in his power...to avoid Mewtwo's attack by less than inches. Did I mention he IS still counterattacking? Bowser sits in the middle, watching the action. "Wow! This is fun! Wham! Bang! Pow! Whoosh!" he shouts in a childlike voice. Back and forth and back and forth...anyways, there is one more villain. Robotnik, quickly checking if the coast is clear, quietly stands up, sneaks over to the wall, and slowly works the knife out of the wall. "If you want a job done, you have to do it yourself, don't you." he mutters angrily. Sakura notices him (how can you not?) and shouts a warning to her allies. *Guys! Look out! He's gonna-mmph!* Yeah, Robotnik clamps his hand over Sakura's mouth, like that really matters and stuff at this point. The action on deck freezes, all eyes on villain and victim. No one moves. "What are you looking at?" Robotnik asks quizically. He then remember the object in his right hand. "Oh, right. The murder and stuff." He raises the knife up, just to add some drama, when... "Don't think so, doctor!" Glass shatters and a laser beam flies from seemingly out of nowhere, cleaning knocking the knife out of Robotnik's hand and onto the ground. Pan the camera- Tails is hanging from the newly broken window, spinning a laser gun in his hand. "Wow, didn't think I could actually do that." he comments, still hanging on Robotnik shuffles through drawers for a similar weapon, and finally pulls one out. "Go away, bothersome fox!" He takes a shot, but forgets to aim first. "Hey! Wrong guy, idiot!" Mewtwo growls. He conjures up a hammer and mentally tosses it in Robotnik's direction. Unfortunately (for us, anyway), there are a couple things in between the two villiains. Namely, Eriol. He is knocked unconcious, and makes a good impression in the wall too. Sakura and Syaoran cringe. Before Ganondorf can react, Syaoran swings his sword around in fury, catching Ganondorf in the chest. "Augh!" He backpedals, clutching the wound. He steps in an errant hole in the floor (probably newly created, too) and loses balance. Flailing around for a handhold to grab onto, he grasps a lever, and accidentally pulls it down with its weight. "Hey, careful!" Robotnik yells, again. "You never know what that stuff does! I mean, I built this ship, and even I don't know what that one activates!" There is a rumbling noise from the ship that lasts about 5 seconds. "Although, given that sound, it appears to be a XSP-500 Heat-Seeking Ultra Missile that just got launched." "A WHAT?" Bowser shouts back. "Something big that has a bigger boom!" Robotnik replies in nontechnical terms. "Wow, cool!" Tails, still on the edge of the ship, looks around, following the errant missile. "But where is it headed?" he asks. *To the closest source of heat, naturally.* Syaoran shouts. "And that would be..." Tails thinks momentarily, while still following the missile's path. "Oh...my...GOD!" The missile U-turns in mid-air and heads for...Tails? Apparently he is closer than the ship, if only by inches. "ABANDON SHIP!!" he shouts, and quickly lets go of his handhold, falling back toward Earth. The missile crashes into the ship's side, creating a large explosion which does Tails (still in blast radius) more hurt then the super reinforced ship, which only is damaged slightly. --- Meanwhile, back at the ship... *Lucky!* Sakura shouts. The blast broke the ropes tying her to the wall...OK, and burnt her a little, but hey- now she can escape! She slips out, and dashes for the door. "Get her!!" the communal cry is. Bowser blocks the door. In a rare stroke of genius he snarls, "How about staying a little longer?" Syaoran, no longer burdened by Ganondorf, dashes to Sakura's side, waving his sword. "How about not?" "Uh...fine...have it your way." Bowser becomes a little squeamish at the thought of becoming sushi, and moves out of the way. "BOWSER, YOU MORON!" Mewtwo roars, and chases after them. "Darnit!" Robotnik bangs his hand on the desk...accidentally pressing a big red button. The room flashes red, and a voice drones: "Self-destruct sequence activated. It all go boom in 3 minutes." Ganondorf sighs, wincing. "It's just one thing after the other." Syaoran and Sakura race through numerous corridors, Mewtwo's blasts exploding all around them. They turn a corner and go through a door. Mewtwo slows to a stop at the door, exhausted from all the battling. The two end up outside, at the edge of the ship, a 150 foot drop below. Syaoran turns to Sakura. *Wanna jump?* Sakura grabs Syaoran's hand. *If we must.* The door bursts open, and Mewtwo appears behind them. "Hurry up, we don't have all day," he teases, and shoves them over the edge. They fall soundlessly through the air. *Umm...shouldn't we be screaming and panicking?* Sakura asks. *Well, I figured we'd be saved, but if it makes you feel better...* is the response. Pause. *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!* *Oh by the way, it would be a bad idea to look down.* Syaoran shouts. *What if I already AM?* *Um...good question!* Suddenly, NOT mere inches before they hit the ground, as a B-movie fanatic would think, (more like 50 feet) they stop falling due to an unseen force. *Wow! We're being saved by an unseed force!* Sakura comments. "Look up, silly!" laughs a voice from above. Sakura cranes her neck up, staring straight into Tails's face. *Oh! The cute fox thing!* she says, surprised. Tails sweatdrops. "The name is Tails." *Oh, right. Thanks, Tails!* *What, no attention to me?* the guy hanging from Tails's other arm jokes. "Something up?" Tails turns to Syaoran. *No, just wondering why you're focusing on Sakura-chan over there.* "Er...because I haven't seen her for a while?" *Like 15 minutes ago, stupid. It's cause she looks like AMY, isn't it?* Syaoran teases. Tails pauses, taken aback. "You know, I never thought of that..." he says, staring at Sakura for a moment. Then, breaking off, he shouts rather loud, "I mean...it's not that! What are you trying to say?" *Oh, just that you-* "DON'T SAY IT OUT LOUD!" *You know, they could probably hear it all the way down at the ground, you know.* Syaoran points to their group of adventurers, staring up at the 3 in the sky. "You think?" *I don't know. Let's find out. If I shout really loud, and they pay any attention at all, then that means yes. What should I say? Hm...I know! HEY EVERYONE! TAILS LIKES-whoa!* Tails quickly hovers down to catch Syaoran, than fakes having a pain in his right arm. "Oh, sorry about that. My arm was getting tired." *Yeah, sure. You just didn't want me to say to everyone that you liked-aagh!* "Whoops, did it again." *Give me a heart attack, why don't you?* "Dead men tell no secrets." *I hope you were kidding.* Sakura chimes in on the two's argument. *Uh, guys? How long are we going to stay 35 feet up in the air? It's starting to freak me out.* "Oh, sorry." Tails lowers them both to the ground, where the rest of the group instantly mobs them. "You did it!" Amy shouts, embracing Tails (enter beet-red mode...NOW) and Syaoran. The group follows with a general uproar of compliments and cheers. Syaoran pauses, his face confused. *Hey wait, wasn't the ship supposed to self-destruct?* Sakura nods. Right on cue, Robotnik's voice rings from the speaker. "Ha ha ha! You can't stop us, you fools! We got rid of the self-destruct mechanism! There is NONE! We're not that dumb. HAHAHAHAHA! So long, suckers! Er...we'll get you next time or something." the ship dissapears behind a mountain. The celebration springs back to life, as Tails and Syaoran share their adventure's details with the group, who is intently listening. Yoshi looks around strangely, though. Sakura turns to Yoshi. *Something wrong?* "Oh, nothing. I thought I heard something." Yoshi is talking to thin air, apparently. "Umm...where'd she go?" *HELP!!* comes a shout about 30 yards away. The group turns and gasps. "Hahaha~! You thought we were through with you, didn't you? Well, you're wrong!" Ganondorf is revealed, holding Sakura by the throat. "How did...you...?" Tails asks, stunned. "You know, that's a good question, to which I do not know the answer to! But that's not why I am here!" Ganondorf announces proudly. He draws his sword and raises it high. Icily, he whispers. "This is." Not a second passes before Ganondorf brings down the sword, driving it straight through Sakura's chest. *NO!* Syaoran shouts emotionally, and pointlessly. Ganondorf then raises his sword again, straight up toward the sky. "That's our show! Thanks for watching!" A bolt of lightning strikes the sword, and he dissapears. The group springs back to action, running over to the wounded girl. *Sakura! Are you all right?* Syaoran asks, holding her in his arms. *I don't look it and I definitely don't feel it.* she responds truthfully. Tails looks around. "Does anyone know healing powers? White mage class? Potion? Plus-HP item? SOMETHING?" he shouts frantically. *Well, I guess this is it.* Sakura says weakly. Syaoran looks distressed. *Don't say that!* *Well, you have to face the inevitable. Dreaming is wonderful, but the truth is the truth.* Syaoran softens a little visibly, but maintains his stance. *But...you'll live! You know, like you always said back in your cardcapting days, it'll be all right!* Sakura seems speechless. *I wish there was some way you were right. But...* she looks for words. *Every good thing has to come to an end. And being with you...one could not ask for more. Besides, it's not like I will be gone forever.* Sakura motions to her chest. *I will always be...in your heart. Thank you, Syaoran...for being there for me. I will always love you, and I hope you feel the same. Never forget me...Syaoran...* her voice fades away, and the group knows what fate has come to her. Syaoran, still holding Sakura's now lifeless body, closes his eyes, holding back tears. "Sakura..." |
