| Called "Venus" because of her phenomenal looks, Minako Yamaguchi grew up with a love for professional wrestling, having admired many of the female grapplers of the day. So, it was a given that she would pursue a career in the sport. After training, the young beauty entered the RINGST*RS promotion where she debuted with a win over the impressive Nina Miyagi. After the closing of RINGST*RS, Yamaguchi joined the JIWWA where she befriended "Beauty Star" Angel Saito. The two formed the tag team The Goddesses of Beauty and were quite popular. The fans celebrated the women as beauty idols, their images adorning everything from videos to magazines. After the folding of the JIWWA, they enjoyed short stints in the FFWA and IEWA. Noticing the lack of tag competition, the two women temporarily dissolved their union. Yamaguchi enjoyed a brief but uneventful stay in the GDWA before joining BLAZE and rejoining Angel. Plus, joining BLAZE gave Yamaguchi the chance to spend time with her boyfriend, BLAZE reporter Tony Castro. Yamaguchi also joined Akira Khan's Hellfire Dojo, hoping that Akira could help take her wrestling to the next level. During this time, she dropped the "Princess" and began wrestling under her own name. She also began to wrestle a more hardcore style, enjoying the thrill and excitement. Finally, she and Tony became engaged. |
