| When people say that Lara Leigh Love has a bad attitude, they mean it! This young woman was trouble from the cradle. Since before she could remember, Lara Leigh was being admonished for her violent and aggressive behaviors. In school, she terrorized both peers and teachers. While she constantly disobeyed her parents at home. They sent her to counselors and psychologists but to no avail. They were not able to determine why Lara Leigh acted the way that she did. Deciding that she could make it on her own, Lara Leigh left home at sixteen, dropping out of school. Her parents were just relieved to have her out of the way. Living on the streets, Lara Leigh ran with a couple of gangs and began to commit petty crimes. Eventually, she was arrested and charged with assault, armed robbery, and grand theft auto. She spent two years in jail. Once released, she vowed that she would never go back. She got her GED but was only able to find jobs at McDonalds. Tired of the hellish conditions and low amounts of pay, Lara Leigh decided it was time for a career change. That's when she set her sights on wrestling. Wrestling was a natural choice for Lara Leigh. After all, she already had some successful family members in the industry, so she had some connections as well as a famous name to go on. Plus, she loved to fight. So, why not get paid for it, she figured. She didn't have any money for wrestling school so her cousin, Leanna, trained her for free. Leanna also helped pull some strings and got Lara Leigh her first wrestling break. Lara Leigh debuted in the SEWA. She was the lone woman on the roster but the males refused to face her. So, they instead awarded her the SEWA women's championship and brought in a few women wrestlers for Lara Leigh to wrestle. Also, during this time, Lara Leigh aligned herself with Andy Madison and his Pride stable. Andy, from a famous wrestling family himself, took Lara Leigh under his wing and taught her to be even more devious and calculating. He even began calling her the Pride's "Lioness", a nickname that Lara Leigh continues to use. When the SEWA eventually closed, Lara Leigh found herself in the IGA. She feuded with fellow tough girl Alex Vale before finally defeating women's champion, Myranda Steele. |
