| Jan is the young cousin of wrestler and former FAWN World champion Holly Hotbody. She grew up in a very poor household. She never knew her father and neither did her mother, Lucia. Lucia was forced to raise Jan and her other children on her own, with only the aid of social services. From an early age, Jan dreamed of escaping poverty and vowed to never end up like her mother. Jan had a difficult time in high school. She hated being there and was quickly labeled as having a "bad attitude" by the administration. It was no surprise when she dropped out before her senior year and was close to becoming involved with a gang, but Lucia interceded. She sent her oldest daughter to stay with Holly in Los Angeles, working as her assistant. Jan soon learned that life with Holly was nearly as bad as the life she was living before. She had envisioned glamorous, Hollywood parties and star-watching. Instead, she was treated like a glorified gopher, both overworked and underpaid. She soon grew tired of being abused by Holly and it began to show in her work, which led to her cousin firing her. Nearly penniless and close to living on the streets, Jan had very few career options. She decided that she would try out for FAWN, hoping that being the cousin of a former world champion would trump her lack of experience. She devised a way to meet with Bethany Christian and pleaded her case. Christian, seeing dollar signs, arranged for Jan to join FAWN, but not before proving herself in combat. |
