| Called "Aphrodite" by many because of her great beauty, Angel Saito is the younger sister of wrestler Josie Saito. The two girls were adopted by a retired professional wrestler who raised them to love the sport. He trained them both and it wasn't long before they were making their pro wrestling debuts. Angel traveled to Mexico and debuted in the MWW promotion. Beating all comers, she was their first ever champion. The fans christened her "Beauty Star" because of her phenomenal looks and wrestling ability. After leaving Mexico, she wrestled for the JIWWA where she befriended Princess Yamaguchi. The two formed the tag team The Goddesses of Beauty and were quite popular. The fans celebrated the women as beauty idols, their images adorning everything from videos to magazines. After the folding of the JIWWA, they enjoyed short stints in the FFWA and IEWA. Noticing the lack of tag competition, the two women temporarily dissolved their union. Angel joined BLAZE where she came into her own and won the honor of being named their first ever 3WU champion. She held the title until losing it to Heidi Leick. She then aligned herself with Tara Smith and Tara Marshall as the unit Dangerous Curves. Soon, the states came calling again. This time, in the form of up and coming wrestling promotion GWC/MPW. With a lucrative offer on the table, Angel signed with them and became their first women's champion. |
