| Ana Romanov grew up in a poor family. Her father deserted her when she was just a child and her mother was an alcoholic and drug addict. Ana worked hard to escape her environment, having involved herself in plenty of sports and her studies. Soon, she was on the Dean's List and captain of her basketball team, as well as studying the martial arts, in particular karate. After graduating from high school, Ana accepted a scholarship to NYU, majoring in journalism. Some of her college friends noticed her athleticism and toughness and joked that Ana would make a great professional wrestler. She laughed the idea off before one day getting a look at one of the shows. She was attracted to the competition and decided to pursue it. After graduating from college, Ana went to wrestling school and soon made her debut in the IFWF. But the IFWF wasn't to her liking. The women there were more cheesecake than talent. But she was intrigued by another former wrestler there, a woman named Serenity Blue. Like Ana, she had also grown bored with the IFWF and left. Ana sought her out and approached her with an idea. The two should form a tag team and join the WWA. Serenity at first balked but she was eventually won over. The two christened themselves The Blonde Brigade and made their WWA debut. After just a few months in the WWA, The Blonde Brigade eventually stepped forward and won the promotion's tag titles. But their happiness was short-lived as they eventually dropped the straps the popular tag team, The Frats. The loss sent the team into a brief depression but they vowed to regain what they had lost. Just as the Blondes were set to contend for the titles again, they encountered a team that would become their worst enemies, the Dark Age. After facing one another, with the Blondes coming out on top, The Dark Age kidnapped Ana. They tortured the young woman until Serenity agreed to face the Dark Age in a handicapped match for Ana's freedom. Ana was suspended above the ring in a cage as Serenity faced the deadly tag team. The battle went back and forth before Serenity won, freeing her tag partner. But the two women's happy reunion was bittersweet as it turned out the WWA would close their doors that night. Unemployed, the Blondes looked for job opportunities but found none. The two decided to part ways, taking a break from the squared circle. Ana moved to Brazil with her lover, Pandora Jimenez. Romanov also discovered a love for photography and began to pursue that as a career. But the young woman's heart remains in wrestling and she one day looks to return, with Serenity by her side. |
