PATIENT FORUM

The Patient Forum was first initiated in 200* and has been an annual event since then until now. It is a platform for the kidney patients and their donors to share their experiences on the many daily challenges they face and to gather information on the importance of life style and dietary changes as well as other relevant matters.

The 10th Patient Forum 201* will focus on Improving the Quality of Life of Dialysis Patients. The topics will range from information on Kidney Diseases and safeguarding the health of kidneys to nutrition and the financial assistance and services offered by agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare, SOCSO and the National Welfare Foundation. Besides that, two motivators will pep up the session to encourage the audience to think positively about themselves and life in general. It is hoped that the 10th Patient Forum 201* will provide the boost, encouragement and hope to kidney patients and their families.

The Forum will feature speakers such as nephrologists, dieticians, social workers, welfare officers and motivators to attract not only patients from NGOs, its also including private dialysis centres and government hospitals. The topics presented will be relevant to them so that they understand their situation better and know where and who to look for when they need assistance. In the process it is hoped that they will improve the quality of their lives.
