A LIST OF ALL THE FILMS I HAVE SEEN
(After I started applying a rating to everything, which was about 3 years ago)
(In Alphabetical order after * rating)

**** Stars

A.I.: Artificial Intelligence
Amadeus
Alien
Back to the Future
Braveheart
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Casablanca
Chinatown
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Dances with Wolves
Das Boot
Dead Man Walking
The Deer Hunter
The Elephant Man
E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial
Forrest Gump
The Godfather
Goodfellas
(Goodfellas is a rough, rough, rough movie, but does not glorify gangster life, and is possibly the best movie I have ever seen)
Gosford Park
The Hiding Place
(Best movie ever made by Christians and for Christians.  What a shame it is so hard to find it at your local video store)
The Hustler
(The Hustler is the Raging Bull for pool sharks.  Both films display the awful lives of people, and the consequences for living an ungodly life.  This is one of the best film biographies ever, along with Bull, Elephant Man, and Amadeus.  Teenagers should watch this if they want to see the devastating effects of being an alcoholic.)
JFK
Its a Wonderful Life
Jaws
The King of Comedy
Lawrence of Arabia
The Lion King
(Possibly the best-animated film Ive ever seen.  It also gives us a taste for what it will be like when Jesus returns, (as Simba returns to his kingdom), and gives other spiritual illustrations)
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Minority Report
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
My Fair Lady
The Mission
Raging Bull
(Raging Bull pretty much ditto with the language, and violence of Goodfellas, but this one is the second best movie Ive seen, both done by Scorsese, both depict awful lives of people)
Rain Man
A River Runs Through It
Schindler's List
(Schindlers List is a violent world that thoroughly shows us what the Jews went through in the Holocaust, could almost be considered essential for a Christian to see, the sex scenes should be excluded though)
The Sound of Music
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
The Thin Red Line (1998)
(Probably best war movie I have ever seen)
2001: A Space Odyssey
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
The Truman Show
Unforgiven
Vertigo
West Side Story

***1/2 Stars
The Adventures of Robin Hood
The Age of Innocence
(The film would have been a masterpiece if it wasnt for Daniels performance, who looked unsure of himself in the role)
Aladdin
Annie Hall
(Annie Hall is not 4 stars, because I felt guilty laughing at things Christians consider sin)
Apocalypse Now
As Good As it Gets
Babe
A Beautiful Mind
Beauty and The Beast (1991)
Bourne Identity, The (2002)
A Bug's Life
Cast Away
A Christmas Story
The Cider House Rules
The Coal Miners Daughter
Dark City
Deliverance
Die Hard
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Emperor's New Groove
Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain, The
The English Patient
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Frequency
The Fugitive
Gladiator (2000)
Glory
Good Will Hunting
(Contains loads of language, but in underneath it is a realistic, touching story)
High Noon
Homeward Bound
Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco
Hoop Dreams
The Hudsucker Proxy
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Iron Giant
Key Largo
K-PAX
Life is Beautiful (1998)
Mad Max
The Matrix
Memento
(Its hard to sympathize with its characters, but the swift direction, editing, and backwards storytelling make up for it)
Mission: Impossible
Mr. Holland's Opus
Mrs. Doubtfire
North by Northwest
Notting Hill
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
(A man says that he is proud of having sex.  But even though he says it, Im not sure what view the film took on the situation, although Im leaning toward its negative view)
The Others (2001)
The Patriot
Platoon
(The film is perfect for an hour, and would get four stars.  The second half drags, and isnt as interesting, but is still good.  Rated R. for extreme language and war violence)
Pleasantville
(Ignoring the point that Pleasantville takes a positive view of premarital sex)
Psycho (1960)
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Rear Window
(Sorry about Rear Window, need to see again)
Road to Perdition
Saving Private Ryan
Sense and Sensibility
(Sense and Sensibility is an absolutely wonderful, romantic film barred by a bit too happy of an ending which leaves the viewer satisfied, but wishing for realism and true emotion, which is only lacked in the last bit)
The Shawshank Redemption
Shine
Shrek
Singin' in the Rain
(I probably underrated this, but I need to see more musicals, and this one again to be able to judge it correctly)
Spaceballs
The Terminator
12 Angry Men
What Dreams May Come
(A story that portrays heaven very incorrectly, but if you ignore that fact, and take it as an enjoyable film made by people that are misinformed spiritually, you will probably enjoy itits not offensive, its just confused)
Wolf

*** Stars
Airplane
Apollo 13
Blade Runner
Bowfinger
Catch Me if You Can
Chicken Run
Contact
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
Days of Heaven
Deep Blue Sea
Dragonheart
Dumb and Dumber
Fargo
(Rated R. for lots of language from criminals.  This is a slightly overrated movie from the Coen Brothers.  It wasnt as thrilling and suspenseful as I hoped it would be.  Still some great comedic jokes, and did the Coen thing, although I cant really point out what that is.)
Galaxy Quest
The Game
Ghost
The Ghost and the Darkness
A Goofy Movie
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
The Last of the Mohicans
The Last Temptation of Christ
(A Martin Scorsese film about Jesus struggle between being a man, and Gods perfect son.  The period detail is fantastic, and the crucifixion, and Jesus beating is depicted with all the violence that was truly inflicted upon him.  The film has many good things to say about Christianity, but it also gets things very mixed up sometimes.  Judas tells Jesus that he betray him because he loved him, which is inaccurate.  And Jesus is tempted by Satan, and possibly gives into the temptations (it is also possible that he just saw what could happen, like he saw the things Satan tempted him with), which could not happen.  Overall, the film will bring up good discussion, and make people go into their bible to investigate the true and untrue points of the film.)
Liar Liar
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (I know, its a pretty low rating for the film, but it lost my attention near the last half hour)
For Love of the Game
Men in Black
Mickey Blue Eyes
Monsters, Inc.
Mouse Hunt
The Mummy (1999)
The Naked Gun
Planet of the Apes (2001)
(So sorry, I really should see the old one also, because its really unfair to rate this one without seeing the old one)
Raising Arizona
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
The Santa Clause 2
(Truly wasnt wonderful, but since it was Christmas, I forgave its flaws cus God came to forgive ours on Christmas, although the film thinks the true meaning of Christmas is Christmas cheer, but what do you expect from Hollywood?)
Shanhigh Knights
Spiderman
Spy Game
The Sixth Sense
Sleepless in Seattle
Sling Blade
Small Time Crooks
Spy Game
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
(Ultra violent, too violent for a fun sci-fi film to be exact, I saw the first one off TV, so I dont know about it)
Thelma & Louise
Unbreakable
Undercover Brother
The Usual Suspects
X-Men

**1/2 Stars

About A Boy
(Quite a strange film.  Not as romantic as Notting Hill, Hugh Grants best romantic comedy.  Not as funny as it either.)
The Color of Money
(This is the sequel to the Hustler, by master director Scorsese.  Unfortunately, he and the cast (especially Newman) are the only things good about the picture.  Theres really no substance)
Die Another Day
Dinosaur
Edward Scissorhands
Fierce Creatures
(Another guilty Annie Hall-type picture)
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Happy Gilmore
Inspector Gadget
(Please dont hate me for giving it THAT high of a rating!)
The Land Before Time
Manhattan
(Didnt feel considerable chemistry between Allen, Keaten, but I dont think Im a big Woody Allen fan, and I got tired of Allens low morals, and extraordinarily positive views of premarital sex.  The music is fantastic, by the tunes of Gershwin, and the black and white cinematography is unforgettable though.)
Meet the Parents (2000)
MIIB (Men in Black II)
Men of Honor
Pearl Harbor
Predator
Rat Race (2001)
(Rat Race was one of the weirdest movie experiences Ive had.  The things I saw were funny, but I didnt laugh out loud at them, and Im not quite sure why.  Im attributing it to letting a scene go too long before an edit, and somewhat long lapses between jokes and gags)
Red Planet
Remember the Titans
The Ring (2002)
Rush Hour 2
Shanghai Noon
Showtime
Signs
Speed
(It seemed like Die Hard on a bus)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Thirteen Days
The Time Machine
Trapped in Paradise
Volcano
The Waterboy

** Stars
Anaconda
Black Hawk Down
Cats & Dogs
Daredevil
The Fifth Element
Miss Congeniality
Mission Impossible 2
Pay it Forward
Star Wars Episode II- Attack of the Clones
U-571
Someone to Watch Over Me
(Although I truly admire Ridley Scott, I have a problem with this film.  This film showed no real punishment, or any bad aspect of having an affair, and made it look fun, and like you could come back and everything would be just peachy with your wife.  It still was wonderfully atmospheric, but not particularly memorable or involving either)

*1/2Stars
The Fast and the Furious
Spy Hard
Surf Ninjas
The Thirteenth Warrior
Battlefield Earth
(This would have been more like or 1 star, but the special effects were fairly good, and the ending wasntwellawfully too bad.  At least John Travolta stopped talking)
Recess: Schools Out

*star
Lake Placid
Mission to Mars
Scooby Doo
